I'm not exactly quite sure that I'm following what you're saying here. But I've got Octopus running on 9 Windows Vista machines and they are working for me fine. You've got to make sure you download the pre-requisite software which is the Microsoft .NET 3.5 and the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime. The links are where you download Octopus from at the software tools forum. When you make your settings within Octopus, you should exit and restart it. The reason is because if you shutdown Windows or Octopus ends before it is exited correctly, the settings may not have been saved to your hard drive. You will also want to make sure that every time you start Octopus that it runs as Administrator even if you're logged in as Administrator. You can do this by right clicking on the Octopus icon and into Properties/Advanced clicking on 'Run as administrator'.

So does your response mean you have or have not installed the correct support binaries mentioned above?
