I already have a 70 pally tank and I gifted lvls to another pally to go holy and heal my pally tank. I really like salvation/kings/wisdom, now I can have 2 of the 3. Anyway, I am trying to figure out how to best setup my keys. I generally use keys 1 through 5 for tanking when im playing single, and would prefer to keep thos where they are at. I thought about using H J K L : keys to cast flash of light on each of the party members (H = 1, the tank), J = party2, ect...

But that means playing with no hand on the mouse. I could try to get good with using my right thumb to hold down alt as a modifier key, so I could possibly cast cleanse or holy light instead of flash of light on the party.

Has anyone come up with a solution they were comfortable with for healing/tanking? I am hoping to be able to run instances and just need the 3 dps.

Personally I use clique and hotkeynet to send mouse clicks to my healers window. Using this I can just shift + left/right/middle mouse click anyone in party and have healer holy/flash/cleanse.

Seems to work really well but you will need to setup party list in same order and exact same placement on both windows.

As for other skills all my healers skills are on shift + 0-9 and normal tank skills on 0-9 and a few other keybinds.

I use a keyboard with two rows of additional keys above the F-keys. A Cherry G81-8308.
I use the number row for tanking, the F-keys for dps and the additional keys for healing. Big heal on the tank is on the tilda-key, to the left of '1'.

That setup allows me to hit all buttons with the left hand, and have the mouse free for whatever needs to be done besides. =]

That would be an awesome way of doing it. What addonn to you use to setup the partylist like that, just some kind of an addon that lets you move around anything you want, or some kind of party manager addon in particular?

Ideally when I dual box my F Keys are for my slave and my mains keys are 1-8 with things like tilda and shift+keys being added in as well. I try to keep my slaves simple too, having your paladin slave with only a few heal spells works well or a cast sequence to rotate to between heals, my priest has a heal sequence that goes Renew, Shield, Flash, Heal, Flash, Heal and resets (i believe thats the order), however she is indeed a shadow priest now and my ret paladin is the main, so he can heal himself when necessary as well. I've always used the F Keys and 1-8 when I only ran a single account but I have minimized my Paladins ability usage.

Well, since I have my shamans at about lvl 63, I decided to put 3 of them in my group for practicing, only thing is that makes it even tougher. At first it was epic fail over and over and over again in ramparts. But I kept going, swapping around buttons, recreating macros, ect, ect...

now I can do a full clear of ramparts with the health of any of my toons never going below 90%. Granted my tank is waaayyy ovegeared over lvled for the instance, that's ok because it's a good way to practice when your starting out.

Now I have heal "party1" flash of light on keys 1 through 4 on my healer pally, so anytime I press a key on 1 through 4 (which is every two seconds on average), he throws a heal on my pally. My tank pretty much stays 100% health the entire time and my healer never even comes close to running out of mana, especially now that he is starting to collect dungeon gear (started with lvl 1 gear on, since I gifted him lvls). I put blessing of salvation and wisdom on my 3 shammies, and wisdom and kings on both my pallies.

Once my healer gets a bit more geared and I start taking more dmg, ill swap up sanctuary instead of wisdom or kings on my tank.

Also, I setup my 1 key, which is usually Seal of Righteousness, and 2 key which is judgement, so that 1 has a macro like so:

/castsequence reset=combat/2 Seal of Righteousness,,,,,,,,,,, -- or something simliar, and I have lightning bolt on my shammies linked to my 1 key also. It allows me to single target focus fire 1 mob down, really fast without blowing mana uselessly on my pally tank.

Im still learning and tweaking, and looking for a good unit frames addon.

Only problem with my setup is that I never have to heal anything besides my tank, and a time will come when I do, it will be epic fail over and over again. I am generally pretty good about taunting if I drop agro for some reason, but sometimes I cc'd faster then I have cooldown up on my taunt.
