Yes another one of my silly threads :P
(Sticky Please)

More and more threads of people looking into what works for PvE and what doesn't, so share your experiences and I will condense the information into a comprehensive list.

So the inform I'm asking for is every Instance you were able to do on your own 5+ man instance.

1) What Instance - Example: Deadmine @ level 20 Chars, Shadow Fang Keep @ Level 28 Chars etc (Level At What You Did It Helps)
2) What Combo? - Example: 4x Warlocks 1x Holy Priest

Well this post will be short* as I have only completed one instance, which I did this week.

Instance: Deadmines
Characters: 5 x Draenei Shaman
Level: 21/22 (dinged shortly after starting)
Spec: All are elemental X/0/0
Gear: Quest and mob drops only

Comments: I'm still learning my way and Deadmines was a nice way to ease into instance running. There are mostly scattered non-elites with no large groups of elites- at level 21/22 there are almost no problems with aggro range so pulls were kept to 1-3 mobs most of the time. I did have two occasions where I pulled 4-5 elites along with 1-2 non-elites but managed to burn them all down without any deaths.

I wanted to wait for level 20 to get the healing stream totem, which is why I ended up entering at level 21 and dinging 22 shortly after. The healing stream totem was an enormous edge, +30 healing every 2 seconds meant that I spent very little time healing.

I one-shot every boss with the exception of Van Cleef. I wiped on him the first attempt, then killed him on the second attempt before dying to his last two adds. But I was able to zone in and clear to the corpse before it poofed, so I was happy enough with that. I still need to work on my macros and my responsiveness during fights, but overall I was pretty happy with the attempt.

*sorry, I lied, it wasn't short. >.<

Majestic, if the intention of this thread is to be a permanent one, let me suggest the following format (our server uses this format for raid progression).

The format is like this, with as much abbreviation as possible to limit the size:
(Name) (Team) - Instances completed.

Gallo - 2ma,1pr,1lock,1war - Deadmines(18-22), Stockades(22-28).
Tonuss - 5sha - Deadmines.

This way we can have people post their progress, and then whoever started the thread can update this progress on the very first post for everyone to see. If you dont want to update this constantly, tell us, and I'll start a new thread :)

thanks for reply.
What level were your chars when you did the instances?

I'm trying to get a leveling guide going so people roughly know when on average to start grinding a specific instance

Im making a list from the data i receive like I've done here:

http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?p=9088#9088

Feral Druid, 3x Elemental Shaman, Frost Mage

Stockades @ lvl 25 (full clear)
Gnomeregan @ lvl 32 (full clear)
Uldaman @ 44 (partial clear)

All toons' gear is just quest/mob drops. Not twinked at all.

Server - Dragonblight - US - PvE
Aluvriel - Alzuriel - Aquiriel - Alkestriel - Aluzriel

Woot! Just finished like 5 minutes ago... Ragefire chasm@14, Pa/Pr/Wl/M/M

It was quite a bit more difficult than I anticipated (quad pulls? Gah!) but after a partial clear at 13, I full-cleared at 14. Had to rewrite all my macros like 3x. Paladin tanking pre-righteous fury and consecration is quite a bitch.

So I've been leveling pretty much exclusively inside of instances. Here's the progress:

RFC: 13-17

*Updated*

WC: 17-21
SFK: 21-23
BFD: 23-26
RFK: 26-30
Gnomeragan, one time, at 29

SM Graveyard: 29-32

*Updated again!*

SM Library: 32-34
SM Armory:34-36
RFd: 35-37
SM Cathedral: 37-40
Uldaman: 39-41

*more!*

41-43: Mauradon Purple / Outside instance Quests / Tanaris
43-45: ZF
45-46: Mauradon Orange / All bosses except princess
46-48: Hinterlands (this place is awesome)
48: Mauradon full clear
48-50: Sunken Temple

Holy/disc priest + 4 demonology locks (all undead)
Look up Dondiego/Donbartolo on Magtheridon on wowarmory for specifics.

Full clears/kills at the following levels:
RageFire Chasm = 16
SFK = 26
BFD = 27
Razorfen Kraul = 29
SM Library = 34-36
SM Armory = 36-38
SM Cathedral = 38-40
Razorfen Downs = 40-42
Uldaman = 45
Zul'farrak = 47-48
Maraudon = 49
Scholomance = 60
Arazzius the Cruel = 60 (lost 3 of 4 felguards)
Natural Remedies = 60 (lost two felguards when two raging behemoths added towards the end)
Stratholme = 61 (live side cleared; doing dead side tonight)

Updates:
--> Hellfire Ramparts at 61 = wipe on Nazan. Rest of the instance was ezmode. [update2] Finally went back and did it at 68. Trivial.
--> Blood Furnace at 68 was fine. The technicians in there AoE the pets down quick with the bombs though. Fear-kite FTW.
--> Underbog at 68 = easy/hard. The first time is difficult. Wiped on Hungarfen twice, then killed him with only one pet down. Next two bosses were pretty easy. Black Stalker wiped me the first time because of bad positioning triggered early aggro before I was spread out. 2nd run lost one lock but otherwise was easy mode.

========================
New group: 37 prot pally + 4 fire mages (will be PoM/Pyro spec at 41)

RFC = 18, took about 25 minutes. AoE = Win. No deaths.
WC = 20. Took about 90 minutes. No deaths.
BFD = 26. Took about 80 minutes. No deaths.
SFK = 27. Took about an hour. No deaths.
RFK = 30. Took about 80 minutes (mostly for the damn tubers quest). No deaths.
Starting SM tonight at 37. Will update when done with that.

I'm not sure if you only are after levling instances, those I cant remember :P

Anyway I have done following with my prot paladin and 4 holynuke priests:

Botanica - full clear in about 40 minutes
SL - cleared with a holy-pally friend instead of one of my priests. For this my priests was shadow, and all the feares is not fun :P
Mechanaar heroic - allmost cleared with a resto druid friend instead of one of my priests. We skipped the boss that spawns fire elementals.

Ramparts - just gotta move toons fast when the fire bombs land
Furnace - hmm
Pens - hmm
Underbog - hmm
Tombs - last boss quite challenging
Crypts - eye boss v. difficult, best to use follow and play priest, heroic- can't wait!
Sethlek Halls - done 4/5 @ 70, key is hiding behind pillar quickly
Hillsbrad @ 70 - easy once you know how it goes
Mech (except optional) - need fire resist on the optional or just madness
Black Morass (1st boss) - seems difficult, need better gear, good regen, etc.
Botanica - demon boss quite hard, all out DPS worked best - same strat for Warp Splinter, ignored add's.
Steamvault - rain clouds annoying, but doable, last boss easy once organised, planted healer and tanked right on each tank.
Shattered Halls - last boss, dps standing on the 3rd step, lock on add's, full DPS mode, doable with reasonable gear.
Shadowlabs - first boss one shot, Murmur 2%
Black Morass now clear.
Murmur down (found it best to leave the tank in than try run out)
Arcatraz Clear - first boss best with tank against a wall, ranged 35-40ft away, gonna be hard in heroic mode, not too many difficulties, skyriss one shot :D

Now onto heroics:
Mech 1st + last bosses down (2nd I have not defeated on normal even)
Sethek halls 1st boss down (last boss will require some arcane resistance)
Ramparts heroic down with 0FR... not that it was easy :P
Blood furnace is clear, last boss accomplished once I setup to move every character forwards immediately.
Slave Pens I've killed the first 2 bosses but the druid keeps eating poison preventing attempts on the final.
Old Hillsbrad, first boss down, and have made it up to the 2nd boss (although it is fucking hard chasing mages and wardens around sheeping them whilst Thrall hits the warden first (dumb shit he has dispel, get the mages first, thx bliz!)
Slave pens clear ('http://skarlot.net/screenies/slavepens.jpg')
Sethekk clear ('http://skarlot.net/screenies/sethekk.jpg') - hugging a pillar rather than try tank in the middle for the last boss kinda helps a lot
Underbog clear - got the last boss in one shot on an accidental pull
Shattered halls - Now the trash is the most fun I've had gaming for a while, and I killed the first boss.

Did RFC yesterday with 14 war/pal/3x Hunter, and WC at 17 (hit 18 during the instance with all of them) with the same group.

The same strategy worked for both instances - have all the hunters/pets target one mob, and grab aggro on the rest with the war while straight healing the warrior with the paladin. Hunters and pets will drop mobs at about 5-8 secs/mob, rinse and repeat. So far, no major problems.

Cleared Wailing Caverns

All Level 20-22
1x Paladin (Tank)
1x Shaman (Healer)
3x Mages (DPS)

First Run (level 20-21)
Clear 3 bosses
Wiped 3 times (could've been avoided... was careless)
Probably could've finished without wipes but it was my first time here and got lost in the tunnels. This was also my first instances multi-boxing.

2nd Run (level 21-22)
Cleared completely (including Mutanus the Devourer)
Wiped 3 times (could've avoided... need to get my sheep macros working properly for those adds)

Overall, if you know this instance (and know the path in the tunnels), this is pretty straight forward and easy enough for this group.

Watch out for the Deviate Guardian and their call for help. I found it's better to pull them, go further back where you came from and kill him there. That way, it doesn't matter who they call.

War/Pal/3x Hunter

WC: 17 (hit 18), full clear including the Treant and Murloc bosses

BFD: 22 (hit 23), full clear - wipe on serra'kis after agroing half the friggin instance while swimming around.

Paladins are really impressing me with single target healing, and the hunters/hunter pets are turning out to be fantastic. Some small things I've noticed that helps a lot - put pets on aggressive, use warriors aoe agro abilities non-stop, and have the hunters burn down one target at a time.

Using a formation (I have one hunter strafe left/right and one back up, the paladin moving forward with the key "H") works well too. Even if a mob agroes a hunter, the others will still be able to hit it. I haven't had to use any sort of traps, as my hunters and paladin almost never get agro.

Update from me:

RFC: 13-17
WC: 17-21
SFK: 21-23
BFD: 23-25

It's been pretty much straight instance grinding for me. Right as I get bored of an instance, it's time for me to move on. I really can't complain. The 2.3 leveling changes are great.

My group is Pal/Warlock/Priest/Mage/Mage:

My notes so far:

RFC was the hardest, by far. There's a whole bunch of reasons. Paladins are kinda crappy tanks until 20+ (need to get deeper into prot tree and get consecration), under leveled, and my first instance (had to rewrite macros 5x, etc)

WC wasn't bad at all.. if you know the instance. Need to be mindful of patrols, as always, and need to especially careful deeper against the fearing guys.

SFK has two major difficulties... the pbaoe silence guys... gotta make sure you hold agro and keep them away from your pack of casters.... not too bad, though. Up until the final boss, this instance was a breeze... the boss though (arugula? whatever his name is)... dude is a total nightmare. Blinking and mind-controlling... ugh...

BFD has been great to me, so far. It's an underrated instance. You got the annoying jump at the start... and the clams.. oh the clams.. other then that, it's a good instance for me. Probably the easiest instance so far. Lots of good caster loot.

Probably gonna run BFD one more time and then head to RFK.

Paladin is full protection spec. Once my paladin goes some good prot talents, some blue tanking gear and consecration, things have been moving along nicely. Been improving as a tank every level, by alot. In RFC, three elites beating on me was total death... I recently did an 8-elite pull (that was only -1 or -2 levels) and only lost a single mage.

Priest is full disc. spec. Going for crazy spirit upgrade.

Mages are arcane up to clearcasting then fire. Warlock is imp-corruption and imp-stam-buff and then destruction spec.

Have had 0 mana problems so far because of blessing of wisdom.

Kalih - good to hear about your success!

I just cleared RFK at 25-26 (dinged on all chars in the middle of the instance), complete clear including the boss and escort quest.

Again, war/pal/3x Hunter.

RFK - Same problems as you Kalih, had to re-write a ton of macro's, but once I got them down it was okay.

WC - not a problem at all.

SFK - I didn't have the same problems on the boss as you, I just positioned all the DPS and had only the warrior moving around. I DPS'ed him down before he blinked at all I think.

BFD - This felt really slow to me, though I only wiped during one bad incident swimming around near serra'kis and ending up agroing about 16 mobs, half of which turned out to evade my fights.

RFK - This was super easy compared to what I remember, cleared it at 25/26, all the loot I got off bosses was not equipable yet.

War is arms/fury so far (though eventually I'll move into prot), paladin is purely there for heals and aura's/blessings, and the hunters are all BM.

kalih
11-26-2007, 12:54 AM
The first two times I beat the SFK boss, it went off without a hitch... the last two times through though, he caused me all sorts of headaches. If he mind-controlled my paladin, for example, especially early in the fight, bad things tended to happen.

One thing I have noticed is all the item drops are overleveled now. I guess blizz retuned all these instances and in many cases made them lower level.. they also upgraded alot of the loot.. but it seems they forgot to lower the quest levels and the item levels.

So like the BFD quests are level 28 but easily completable at level 24.. and alot of the drops are level 25/26/etc min level.

kllrwlf
11-26-2007, 04:11 PM
Level 25
1x Paladin (Tank)
3x Mages (Frost)
1x Shaman (Healer)

Deadmines - Lame. Went there for the Paladin quest, cleared it too easily. AOE everything. The only time I wiped was when I agroed too many mobs (20+ mobs) and I couldn't AOE fast enough. After that wipe, I would only agro a couple of mobs and plowed through it.

Shadowfang Keep - Very straight forward. Had to use Fireball instead of Frostbolt because Frostbolt did none to little damage.

Wiped once with the silence room (Wailing Guardmen). 2nd time around, kept the casters at the hallway, moved my Paladin into the room and worked them down.

Final boss (Arugal), was a pain with the mind-controlling of my Paladin 2-3 times. Eventually downed him with 1 mage and the shaman dead.

I'll run through Shadowfang Keep again, need to macro in Counterspell for my mages to help with the final boss.

Also probably going to respec the mages from Frost to Fire or Arcane/Fire.

Frostbolt was also a problem in Wailing Caverns with the Evolving Ectoplasm. Wanding did more damage then Frostbolt.

My toons' level range is definitely a little higher then the instances, guessing that it'll eventually even out due to the fact that I'm barely getting XP each run. It's fun seeing new content though. :D

wow 27. I just dinged 29 last night.

I was gonna wait until 30 (because that's the lowest level you get all the RFK quests) and then finish RFK and move to SM.

I'll probably give it a try later.

Deadmines

Killed Rhahk'Zor, Sneed's Shredder and Sneed with 15/16 priest + 4 15/16 warlocks. 1 warlock was at 16 prior to Rhahk'Zor; the rest of the characters levelled between Rhahk'Zor and Sneed. Nearly wiped on Sneed; the priest was at 1% health and had agro when the Shredder died. Luckily we cleared out of range before Sneed attacked, so we could heal up. Bad pull shortly after Sneed and had to run out of the instance.

I have a team of druid(feral tank), Priest(holy). and 3 locks (affliction) all 70, in outlands i have done no heroics because im sure id lack the CC for it.
but have done in normal mode, Hellfire ramparts, Blood Furnace, the steamvolt, underbog, slave pens, durnholde, shadowlabs, auchenai crypt, sethekk halls, mana tombs, the botanica, the mechanar(all except the second boss, was a real pain in the ass with the fire elementals you cant kill so i skipped), and half of arcatraz.
Have yet to go the shattered halls, rest of arcatraz and the black morass..
Does anyone see a way to do heroics unless you have a totally decked out tank or CC? like 2 mages, i cant see locks succy lasting too long in heroics

I updated my first page entry with all my instances up to 40. I've leveled exclusively in instances since hitting 13 and going to RFC. That's probably gonna end here in the early 40s as I grind instances and fill with quests until I get 55 or so, which point will be all instances to 70.

3rd boss in Ramparts is still giving me problems. My team is 3x Mage, 2x Paladin (Healer/Tank). Except for Ramparts i've full cleared all the main alliance instances at the average recommended level.

When I hit 58 I went to outlands so I skipped Scholo/Strat

DM - lvl 19
Stockades - lvl 27 (-ish, kind of vague on when I was in here since this is a gimmick instance anyway :P)
Gnomeregan - lvl 28
SM (Library) - lvl 31
SM (Armory) - lvl 32
Uldaman - (Vague on this one, it's been a while, was after the 2.3 patch that tightened level ranges, I THINK 34 or 35)
SM (Cath) - lvl 36 or 37
ZF - lvl 45 (Pyramid event was pretty easy with a pally cons tank and plenty of AoE)
Maraudon - lvl 48 (Noxxion lvl 49 or 50 since I did the rear part of the instance until the nature resist plate legs dropped)
BRD - lvl 49-54 (Most of my play sessions were too short during this time frame due to raids, etc. with my guild and this instance is still the largest in the game outside of AQ20/AQ40)

Quested from 55-58

Ramparts: Omor/Garg down at 60. Nazan still giving me issues at 62 and I refuse to twink my guys with gear they haven't acquired themselves (FR gear would be nice since it seems to be what's killing my tank. Moving out of the fire bursts isn't too big of a deal)
Blood Furnace: Full cleared at 61
Slave Pens: 1st boss down at 62, 2nd boss still eats my tank alive (On top of his mcspam water bolts :P)

Well i dont normally post on this part as its pretty trivial for lower level instances, but ive finally cleared SM GY so im posting it here.

its not been an easy instance theres a pretty big window between the levels of mobs in RFK to the levels of SM GY, its gotten alot harder since 2.3

SM GY 2.3 trashed my 1 priest 4 lock team at 30, devistated my 1 shaman 4 priest team at 30-32, but im very happy to say that my 1 shamn 2 lock 2 priest team is now clearing SM GY so happy as its been the worst learning curve ive had so far with multiboxing.

Tonight's update: cleared Deadmines up to Van Cleef, but wiped on him and his adds. My 18 priest drew aggro, and the voidwalkers were not able to yank it back. Once the priest went down, the voidies and level 18 warlocks were toast.

I'm very close to 19, and all of the characters should level on the way through the instance tomorrow.

Has anyone here taken out Van Cleef with a 1 priest/4 warlock group? If so, what tactics should I be using?

(Last update 4/10/08 )

Levels per instance (if I am remembering correctly):

DM: 18 or so
BFD & SK: 24 or so
RFK some where in the late 20s
SM: 35-38
RFD some where in the late 30s
Ulda: 44 but not last boss Pre 2.3
Ulda: Speed run at 47 (last boss nerfed big time) Post 2.3
ZF: 47 or so
Maur: 50
ST: 53
BRD: 55
LBRS: 59 (first 3)
DireM East: 60
Stratholme Dead: 60
AQ20: 60, part of pug raid cleared first 2 bosses just for fun
Scholo and Strat on farm at 61-62
Ramparts cleared at 63
Blood Furnace clear at 64
Slave Pens clear at 65
Underbog clear at 65
Mana Tombs clear at 67
Ring of blood and Dum Dum the Hungerer complete at 67
UBRS clear at 69 (my team only), instance was simple but Drakk was a pain, Tank got flamed, hint max DPS on Drakk off the bat and clean up the other two.
At 70 I did a number of things of note. Cleared in ZG, got Ony to 75%, did a bunch of party chains then respec'd the all but the tank.

In Feb 08 I got bored with the game, again, and have stopped playing until Wrath comes. When it does I may come back if Conan and Warhammer turn out to be a waste. If I do come back I will go for a speed run to 80 just for fun (take time off and such). Looking back the group makeup I chose turned out to be excellent for parts of the game and not so hot for other parts. I see that the 4 shammys and a pally tank build makes a lot of sense for PvE. I think the new multi hunter builds look fun, however this was only feasible after the dead zone removal of 2.3. I wonder what other changes Blizzard is going to make will alter the multi-box community play style.

Resting team spec- Prot Warrior, Arcane/Frost Mages, Ele Shaman, Holy/Disc Priest. Profs are fairly high if not maxed on most, should be dirt cheap to level profs up when the expansion hits.

Cleared WC tonight - all bosses including Mutanus. It was a cakewalk; the only difficulty was with a patrolling druid that evaded, despawned, and then respawned in a wall or something and attacked me while being invulnerable. Luckily I was able to run out of range, and it actually dropped aggro.

I probably should have done this instance before Deadmines, but Deadmines was more convenient as an Alliance character.

Cleared SFK today. It had been ages (2 years?) since I ran the instance, and accidentally pulled an entire room at one point, causing a wipe. Thank goodness for soulstones. Aside from this error in judgement, it was at least as easy as WC. I probably should have done this one before Deadmines as well.

Cleared BFD. Two instances in one day - first SFK, now BFD. Soulstones came in handy again as I misjudged one pull and got swarmed, but aside from that it was quite easy. I respeced prior to the instance to get improved voidwalker for the warlocks and silent resolve for the priest; this combination helped keep the mobs happily beating on my voidwalkers while the priest healed.

Notes:

1. Ragefire was tough to get to as alliance. Guildies were busy and didn't want to help summon, so I had to corpse run it. Worth the trip!

2. Got too caught up in quests and leveled too high, so Wailing Caverns and several of the zones afterwards were too easy. I also didn't realize how nerfed a lot of the zone levels were in 2.3.

3. Wanted to do RFK earlier, but Blizzard didn't adjust the quest ranges downwards, so the quests are just available (and red) at 29 :(

4. Got Sang'thraze from ZF! I might try running it a couple more times to see if I can pick up Jang'thraze. Not that I have any use for it, but Sul'thraze is a great show-off weapon!

5. The Princess in maraudon was a little annoying, since she is immune to nature attacks. I just tanked her at a 35 yard range, so my shammies wouldn't get knocked back during the fight, and ran her back and forth so they could get flame shocks up on her. Took a few minutes, but not really hard or mana intensive.

6. Eranikus is super annoying with 4 shammies. Make sure grounding totem is up at all times, face him away from your shammies, and use righteous defense (hope it doesn't resist) whenever he slumbers and wipes your aggro.

7. Stratholme was the most fun zone yet; I took some time on a weekend to do an entire clear of both sides, completing all quests and Malowning the postmaster. In a zone where most of the difficulty lies in other people in your group not doing silly stuff, five-boxing really shines as a way to make the run smoother and more fun.

8. The first boss in Auchenai Crypts, Shirrak the Dead Watcher, is probably the hardest boss in the entire game, for the level at which you're supposed to do him. Absolutely ridiculous fight. It is virtually impossible to do as a pally + 4 shammy team. I managed to get him, but only after many, many, many wipes.

9. Blackheart the Inciter is another extremely hard boss. Four shammies will annihilate each other in the first Mind Control. The secret is to spend some money buying 'of the eagle' and 'of stamina' greens off the AH. Build an HP set with the goal of reaching 8K HP unbuffed. It makes an unbelievable amount of difference.

The mages are both heavy in fire so they get some synergies. I like having two sheeps over the lock option. Also having two healers can help when pulls go wrong. The group composition seems to be working well and the dps seems high enough to get me through everything I try so far.

Probably won't be seen as much of an accomplishment since i'm not 5 boxing, but my 4 + 1 team (my 4 shammies and my brother w/ pally) cleared out Ramparts, Blood Furnace (@60), Salves Pens, and Underbog (@62).

Considering we both ran those in normal pugs many times when TBC first came out, we were both amazed at how much easier it was with how much more control *we* had over things. (he tanked, I DPS'd and healed).

We got owned twice by the Black Stalker thing at the end of Underbog, but once we figured it out, down it went. :) (and once by the bog lord boss with the posion mushrooms... totally forgot about the mushrooms of death. )

Black Stalker in UB, the crab boss in SP and the last boss in ramparts (the dragon+rider) are the hardest fights in the entry lvl TBC instances IMO, the 2nd boss in SP is an absolute nightmare for the healer if they are the only one.

Ya... multiple healers makes a lot of tanking trivial. I have a macro to have all four shammies drop a lesser healing wave on the tank at one time.

With the totems of wrath down, crits are common, so its a 4k to 6k 1 second heal that I can spam if needed. I'm going to /castsequence it so it alternates between shaman, 1 & 3 then 2 & 4 then repeat. This way I can get some lighting bolts off at the same time.

What I have is downranked LHW macrod to ctrl-(1-5). So ctrl-1 has all 5 shams cast LHW on main, ctrl-2 on clone1 ... etc. The advantage is if some of them are busy in the middle of a cast it will still get heals off.

I like your idea of castsequence though. I may add /stopcasting and have the heals sequenced. I've been in some tricky fights where it seems like I have infinite NS because of such as fast powerful heal, which saved the day :)

I'm not sure if I'm getting a false sense of security with my 4 hunters, but I've been destroying instances.

At 18 I full cleared WC with very crappy gear. I had never done WC before either. I ran WC until about 22. By then all my hunters had decent gear, and alot of blues.

I then romped right through SFK, first run it was a breeze. Crappy drops and too easy, so I fired up atlas and looked for another instance near my level.

Found BFD. After alot of running I made it there. The water in the beginning turned me off right away, but I was still progressing really fast. Ran out of ammo and had to hearth out halfway through. Came back and full cleared it without issue at level 24.

Hit RFK at level 24 and killed maybe 4 bosses. A little tougher, and I have to heal my pets more, but its really no problem and kinda fun.

So now I'm level 26 and will pretty much be farming RFK until I find the next instance. It's been really fun and easy instancing with 4 hunters. I have 2 beast mastery and 2 marksmanship. The only time I ever wipe is because of my pets doing their crazy positioning. Sometimes they run up to a mob, then reposition themselves closer to the next group of mobs and wipe up chain pulling. But amazingly I am sometimes able to take down 6 mobs and only lose a couple pets.

The first time I do any instance it takes a while, and I'll wipe a few times while learning pulls. But the second time around I pretty much destroy it.

Fun stuff, hunters rule! I'm anxious to see how Uldaman, and Maraudon will go. I'm pretty positive ZF is going to be super easy. Maraudon is my most favorite instance in the entire game, can't wait.

Uldaman (Full Clear) - Level 42 (leveled to 43 midway through).

Most of it was tank and spank.

A couple of bosses with adds made it interesting. Wiped with the Ancient Stone Keeper. Waaaay too many adds. After the first wipe, with most of the adds dead, it was easier to deal with.

The 2 points on the way to Archaedas where you had to have 3 toons toggle the stone center caused a slight problem with positioning afterwards. I like to have my 4 support toons at the back, which didn't happen, but didn't matter.

With the actual fight with Archaedas, I just had my paladin pick up any adds while everyone focus fired on the boss. Didn't even try to kill the adds, just kept healing the tank, the tank casting Consecration and picking up adds, the mages just dpsing on the boss.

It was pretty exciting. :)

Finally finished Uldaman today. I didn't have the time to devote to a full run over the last few days, usually just killed Revolosh and Ironaya for their blues and then logged off. Today I did the full instance. Archaedas was easier than I expected; I basically ignored the adds and concentrated on keeping all the dots and wands on the boss. When there got to be a scary number of adds, I aoe'd them away with Hellfire, but one of the warlocks died in the process as the priest didn't get Prayer of Healing off quickly enough. Other than that, the boss was a breeze.

Forgot to finish the Talvash quest line while in the instance, so I'll have to run it again tomorrow.

Underbog down this weekend (66 pally - hadn't trained yet, 4x 65 shaman)

The last boss was hell. If you're not careful, the black stalker will throw a shaman out of the room and evade bug. You have to move them back into the room ASAP. He evaded 5 times before I was finally able to kill him.

Hungarfen was interesting since shaman do not have spammable instant casts like dots. I put them on /follow with my paladin and kited while healing, dpsing, and laying totems. When he gets to 20% (i believe) he starts healing himself based on the aoe damage he does, so the shaman and paladin have to gtfo. Not sure if I'll be able to do it in a heroic setting as I understand he spawns mushrooms faster. Make alot of use of searing totem and flame shock, then lesser healing wave the pally in the middle of kiting.

Current Level: 61 - 5 Shamans - 1 Enhancement (Main) & 4 Elemental

Instances:

VC: 20
SM Library: 33
SM Armory & Cathedral: 38
Ramparts (Naz not downed): 60
Blood Furnace(up to the prisoner release): 61

These are all frapsed, and I'll put em up soon.

Doing ramparts with all shamans was probably the most wow fun I've had in a long time. Each group of mobs takes around 20 seconds to kill and tanking melee bosses with a shaman is terrifying! I still haven't replaced all my pre-bc items so I'm a little squishier than I should be.

Just got Blade of Trapped Knowledge (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31142) x 4 though, so now I can use my shield and hopefully survive a little longer!

Question:
Has anyone 5 boxing shamans killed Nazan and have any advice for me? I've gotten him to 30% but that's with my tank getting wtfpwnt at 90% and just getting some lucky nukes in before a wipe.

Maraudon

Orange - Level 47
For the most part, easy as pie.

The only time I had any trouble was the first time I encountered the little green slimeballs that move so damn slow. Just nuke them as fast as possible, if they reach you, back up and nuke them some more. Stay out of their melee range.

Purple - Level 48
Also easy for the most part.

The only time I had trouble was the little worm nursery area. Didn't know that you could click on the worm-spewing tube to stop them from coming out.

Inner Section - Level 48
This section was a pain.

The crocs with their AOE silence. Just keep them away from your casters.

Pats, the elite rock with 3-5 little rocks following him. They seem to come at the worst time. It seems like if you are just clearing one room after another, you'll encounter them in a middle of a fight with a different set of mobs. Just be on a look out for them... I think there was a pat for each little area.

Princess... she sucks. Wiped the first time, the 2nd time I barely took her down with all 3 of my mages down at the end. She feared my tank, then went after one of my casters, hitting pretty hard. Even though I had a tremor totem up, still took a second or 2 to get out of fear to try to regain her agro.

Once you finish, you can click on the druid to get a quest to get to Moonglade. The easiest way to get to Moonglade seems to be to fly to Darkshore. Ride up all the way to the north-east. Then get in the water and head east until you get a message that you are in Moonglade. Drown and rez in Moonglade.

Fire resist totem, grounding totem. Chain heal off your ranged dps, put GoTN (if you have it) on your tanking shaman. Keep the dragon facing away from the ranged dps.

You're right about armor, too. There are few enh upgrades in hellfire, and few ele upgrades in zangarmarsh, so your enh shammy might've needed some gear upgrades.

I finished ZF last night. The toughest boss (for me anyway) was Antu'Sul; I had a tough time micromanaging the voidwalkers to keep aggro off of the squishies. I also had a few bad pulls that resulted in wipes due to unfamiliarity with the instance - the only previous time I had been through, I was following a friend's 70 mage and not paying much attention.

Somebody mentioned stalling on killing the Orc Rider, and DPS'ing the dragon in the air before it lands. I've never tried this, but it sounds like a pretty good strat.
If you do that, Nazan doesn't land until he hits about 20%. The downside to this strat is that his random fireballs will keep hitting random people, whereas if you turn the dragon away from your guys and can keep your tanky type healed OK, it requires a lot less shuffling to get out of the pools of fire. I kinda doubt this strat would work on heroic mode but I could be wrong.

Dinged 31 last night and getting close to 32 (oh chain lightning will you mary me). So anyways now for the instances.

RFC (13-17) it was very hard at 13 and I was not able to kill the first boss (the demon with the knockback) until 14, otherwise full clear. Just a pewpew fest on that.

WC (17-21) This was also a pewpew fest. I was not able to full clear till 20 at which point this instance became completely trivial thanks to healing stream totems. I could clear up to everliving but could not beat him and since it was such a big instance I often gave up after 1-2 wipes due to respawns and just reset and go again. For all the bosses it was a tank and spank except for everliving. On everliving I would use my main to "tank" meaning starting off with as many spells as I can to build hate then burning him down, throwing out 5x lesser healing waves when I got below 50% because he hits really hard.

SFK(21-24) I came to this instance late and stayed longer than I should have because there was so much lovely caster loot in here (yes cloth gear but there is no spell damage leather gear pre TBC hardly at all, anyways) This instance was instantly trivial upon entering thanks to healing stream and a new rank of lightning bolt and only got easier. Got to a point where I could pull multiple groups at once and just melee them down rather than trying to burst down 1-2 mobs at once. Arugal was annoying because his spells really hurt and could not be interuppted but never died.

BFD (24-28 ) The instance was also very easy due to the level I went there at, like I said I didnt stay because I couldnt advance I just wanted the gear lol. Every boss was a pewpew fest except aku'mai (he hits really hard on leather/cloth heh) so I used the everliving method here as well. This one was flakey though and my main would still die about 20% of the time due to unlucky crits. (I do have a FRAPs of one of these fights)

SM:GY (27 lol) I made an attempt at this at 27, it went pretty bad due to the first boss (the interogator guy) he hits really hard and has lots of hp so usually involved a wipe to kill him. Full cleared the rest and then decided Id come back later on.

RFK (28-30) I had forgotten how much I hated this place but it really did suck, not to mention 70% of the loot there didnt help me any so what I did was did 2 full clears for quests and such and to get a feel for things then I would only clear to death speaker jargoth or w/e his name was, kill him for his robes/shoulders and hope for a mace (only ever got one) and then reset. It went very fast, usually 15min per run and net myself around 4-5k exp each time. Given the quick clears this also netted me a lot of enchanting mats (I had 113 small glimmering shards before I ever did anything other than DE lol, and many other mats)

SM:GY (30+) I went back here after 30 and getting all I wanted from RFK and it was a very easy at this point, sadly this instance is just lame and annoying with only 1 good drop from the end boss (shoulders with 10spell crit, which at this level is almost a full 1%) So I intend to get out of here ASAP and move on to library when I get chain lightning at 32.

My plan is to burn through the SM instances for as long as possible due to convenience, nice gear (since I can wear mail at 40 after all) and having a strong familiarity with the instance. From there Im thinking uldamon for a little bit which im not lookimg very forward to because Ive always hated that instance. I may just try and skip that and go straight to the weaker side of mara. Id do ZF but I did that a lot on my war to level and I dont really like the place so I will see when I get there. Depending on exp gain and loot drops I may just live in SM for even longer (41, 42 maybe) and jump straight into mara after.

*edit* dinged 32 in graveyard last night and moved onto library after training. Only had a couple wipes due to runners but was able to full clear* and kill the last boss (archmage Doan) * - I did not kill the houndmaster, I tried twice and got rolled, the really bad LOS in that room made it impossible to get the first shot which is the clinching factor in not having a real tank. But he drops nothing I need/want so it doesnt bother me much. Will be doing this for a couple levels maybe since it has some nice gear. For the boss it was just a burn fest with grounding totems. I did forget that he did that fire nova too until it was too late but a few quick lesser heals took care of that (hit all my characters and took them to half health lol) I freaking love caster bosses haha, they are free blues!

I just got into multi-boxing recently (specifically 2-boxing) after clicking a link to these forums from another forums where I was reading about leveling and twinking.

My characters are Avrana and Avranu both female undead warlocks.
One is specced demonology and uses the voidwalker to tank and the other is specced affliction and uses an imp for some more dps and the stam buff.

Instances so far:

WC - only partial clear at lvl 22

http://files.filefront.com/Dual+Boxing+Warlocks+in+WCwmv/;9415428;/fileinfo.html

That's the fraps I have of it. While the actual vid is quickly put together, it still shows how I did it.

A minor update, still running library and getting better at it. but had a few bad runs with archmage Doan. It seems I was lucky my first time and resisted the fire nova. because the next time I was in there I remember to run but wasnt far enough away and I think it also crit because it 1 shot 3 of my characters, including my main. What I ended up doing was mouse moving one of the characters aroudn kitting him with frost shock (lol) inbetween getting silenced. When I figured I could live through this I ankh'ed on my main and dropped a fire totem then healed myself and continued kiting with the alt (cause he had high agro at this point) So I basically dealt the last 1k hp he had with 2 fire totems and a frost shock lol, but didnt wipe though, muahaha.

A similar thing happened the 3rd time but only 2 chars died and it wasnt my main so it was easier to finish off. The 4th time I sucesfuly dodged it on all chars but one but I survived it. What I did this time was actually use my main as a 'tank' because that is how ive been gearing him as i move along because having one char that can take a few hits is becoming more important (so he has like 500 more armor and 500 more hp but 600less mp than the minions do) so what I did was I left my alts in the doorway (since range is good from there) dropped all my buffing totems then mouseclicked a LB to start the fight on my main then ran up to him and earthsocked to spike threat. Then I proceeded to burn him down teh usualy way keeping his nasty arcane explosion away and when he stopped to nova i hit Q to sidestep all my alts out of the doorway (LOS) and ran my main in that direction. I ate 700dmg on my main but that was easily fixed by 5x healing waves since i made it to my alts. I did have some issues getting them back in los dut that was because I panicked and hit the key to turn them so 1 got stuck on the wall and I had to tweak the others to make them face the right way. I also was able to keep the aoe silence of my guys most of the time. allowing for a much faster and cleaner kill. Just need to polish off my strat and he will become ezmode like every other boss before him :)

I was working on frapsing this but it was the one where i total wiped and i forgot to do it after that lol. So next time ill get it for sure.
*edit* it was late and I didnt think it would be so wall-o-textish, and fixed some typos.

Ow, that hurt to read.

But as for doan what I found worked very well was to have my 4 clones stand just outside the door. I would move in to the center of the room and lightning bolt -> frost shock, then start in with the rest of my group.

When he goes immune I run out and use my spread out macro to get my clones out of line of sight. After the fire nova I use my "/follow" macro to pull my guys back in line of sight and finish him off.

must have hurt too much to read at all then because that is what I said :)

I guess it was a bit too much text. ill fix it in the morning lol.

*edit* and the problem was one guy was stuck behind the wall in the hallway, so only way the /follow would work is if I dragged Doan into my group, which defeats the prupose of tanking him away from them :)

Level 52 - Sunken Temple

All the trash mobs were low leveled. Able to go in and just AOE a group of mobs at a time.

Surprise by the 2 dragons circling the center that appear after you kill one of the boss because I didn't know that little info.

The Egg of Hakar quest was interesting. Ran OOM, wiped, then killed the mini-boss. In hindsight, I probably should've just froze all extra mobs instead of AOEing until I took out the 4 flames, then AOE them at once.

"Shade of Eranikus" sucks. I wiped about 6 times, gave up, swapped one of the mages for a 64 warlock, kill him. Looted the quest item. Cleared again the next night, tried the suggestions found here:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=3116
I still wiped, got annoyed and was tired, so I swapped out a different mage for my 64 warlock, killed then looted.

So at 52, all the trash is easy, the mini-bosses are easy, Avatar of Hakkar (egg quest) would've been easy if I conserved my mana during the activation. Shade of Eranikus... sucks. I either need more skills or levels with my current group.

Finished Mara today. Wiped on my first attempt at the princess, as I forgot to use shadow protection and fear ward. The second attempt went off without a hitch. All of the other bosses were easy. I had more troubles with bad pulls than with the bosses, as I had never run Maraudon before. I'll be running Sunken Temple next; I've run it before, but only with a group of 70s helping me, so I wasn't paying much attention.

Finished Sunken Temple tonight. I started running the instance at 47, and I was 49 by the time I had cleared all of the bosses. Seems like a fun instance. The most annoying part was the guys that fear leading up to Jammal'an; the prophet was anticlimactic. Shade of Erranikus was easy with all the voidwalkers to keep aggro off the squishies. Summoning the avatar of Hakkar was a pain, but killing him was also easy.

Did I mention I love my voidwalkers? :D

Update on my progress. Hit lvl 70 w/ 11 days played (I raid frequently on my other 3 70's) on my 2 pally 3 mage combo.

Cleared Mana Tombs at 66
Quested a bit from 66-68 to build some cash reserves since I didn't want to drain my JC'ers cash for all their flying mount
Cleared Durnholde at 68
Cleared Sethekk at 69
Cleared Mechanar, Shattered Halls at 70.

Edit: Spent 4 hours in Blasted Lands letting the "invulnerable" mobs hit my mages to get their defense skill from almost nothing to 345+, they kept getting wtfpwned in SL by the Felguards.

Haven't hit any of the other 70 instances since I'm still trying to get some drops from Mech/SH :)

Shorty before Christmas, I parked my 4 locks + priest and started 5 orc Hunters on a pvp server. I have asked on a previous post what everyone thought of the viability of 5 hunters and the idea was not exactly thoght to have much hope in instances past L50 and it was said PvP would be hopeless.

Since then, we have made it to 60 (should ding 61 within minutes of next login). We have cleared BFD, SM (all), RFC, Mara...etc up to BRD where we did around 5 or 6 bosses then moved to BC skipping Scholo and Strat. We have started Ramparts and have taken down first 2 bosses and working on Nazan (need to work of fire pots).

I am not 100% sure why this team was thought not to have a chance. My thinking was that 5 hunter pets more then equal 1 tank. Hunters have a variety of crowd control methods such as traps and FD to get aggro back on pets. We have massive DPS which I am hopeing will make up for the medicore healing this team offers. Someone said pets would be 1-2 shotted by later bosses and I just knew from past hunters I played that this was not true.

Up to now, bosses have been very easy. I honestly cant think of a boss where I lost a single pet. Pulls of 5 are the challange of this (or any team). We focus first on cloth wearers, and make use of above mentioned crowd control. Wipes tend to come from bad pulls, or unseen patrolls.

As for PvP, I see the biggest problem for this (or any team) will be a fear bomb. But, what team does not have problems vs this? And, I plan to make things as difficult as possible to get close enough to do it. 5 traps, pets on aggressive, tracking...etc. We did some WSG early on, had fun...but, decided to hold off and focus on 70.

I will be getting fraps soon and will post some vids of our advances. With 2 bosses down in Ramps...we have beaten the expectations and time will tell how far we can go....and no matter what, this is the most fun I have had playing WoW (thank you Bradster for getting me hooked)

Thanks for reading, and a big thank you for all the help every one has given me getting all this set up.

Yep, my 4 hunters has been progressing great....and I only have 4! I'm always wondering what is gonna happen when I run ramparts with only 4. I'll probably have to wind up powerleveling a 5th person, either pally or priest.

I did a little pvp at level 29. Was rocky at first, but wound up at the top of the list in kills every game. Granted we never capped flags and wound up losing every game, but killing people superfast is my main goal. Ha ha ha.

I started my 5-box team about a week ago. It's the standard cheese - 1x paladin and 4x shamen (Draenei on Azuremyst).
Heres my list of instances thus far:

Deadmines(19p/21s): tried at level 18 with 4 shamen.. got owned by the first boss and decided i needed a paladin - so i leveled one. By the time i got there again, my paladin was 19 and the shamen were 21 so it was quite easy at that time.. no deaths to speak of and the VC went down quickly.. his adds after that.

Blackfathom Deep(23p/24s): This, too, was easy. There was one wipe, however, that occured with the ring event with the two water elementals. They put out a lot of spike damage i was prepared for - that and the AE's killed me. After that first wipe, though, i was prepared and cleared it twice after that with no problems.

Shadowfang Keep (25p/26s): This was trivial at the level - most things were green to the shamen. Needless to say, this was a breeze. Way too easy.

Stockades(26p/26s): I tried stockades right after Deadmines when i was 20/21 or so and found that although it wasn't hard when you only pull three or so, they quickly add and you wipe - i think them all being orange had something to do with it. At 26, though, it was way too easy - not a challenge at all.

Gnomeregan(26p/27s-28p/28s): Finally a challenge.. Wiped three times in all but was fun and rewarding. First wipe was just with the troggs and was stupidity on my part. Second and third wipe occured when i got too many dwarves and those damn magic nullifiers really screwed me when there's more than one. All the bosses, though, were a cake walk. For the last guy, i didnt stop the bombs at all.. i just let them hit my paladin and heal the damage.

Razorfen Kraul(28p/29s): Too easy at this level and not rewarding - i do not recommend this one for alliance.

Strat is always the same: paladin out front tanking and shamen throwing lightning bolts and 1-4x lessor healing waves when need which is almost never with healing stream totems.

I'll keep this up-to-date with more instances.. i think.

Update:
Scarlet Monastery Library(33): wiped like four times because i tried to rush through it.. cleared it three times to gear my shamen in more caster gear.

Scarlet Monastery Armory(35): Easy clear without a wipe.

Scarlet Monastery Cathedral(38 ): Cleared this three times (without any luck with the shield) and only wiped when i tried to pull the boss without clearing the church.

Uldaman(38-39): Cleared this one easily. Wiped once when i accidentally pulled two groups of troggs. The other thing that was hard was positioning my shamen after using them to open the door/waken the boss dude.

I know that it's not in the same league as everyone else but my 5xshammy crew cleared RFC lol. :D I started them in there about 14.5 and after grabbing all the quests and a few runs they are now 16.5

It was great experience learning how to use the totems effectively and positioning them for melee. With melee I kept having issues with them following the main while the main was attacking so a lot of the time they were out of range, so now I pick my target, press strafe so they no longer follow and backup the main so they're all together then totems and pull. I found 5xbolt and 5xblast enough to take 50-70% health off the mob and then just 5xmelee them down. All shammies now have 70ish mace skill, when we entered it was 5 i think lol. Once I got the pull tactics working properly it was cake and was able to take on 4 mobs at once (with timely heals :)).

The best thing of all? In 2 levels I only got 1xWTF?? outside the entrance. Nice.

edit: after reading Vyndree's post below - ai carumba! I have a long way to go lol - well done Vyndree - any fraps?

Curator had some trash that evade bugged against a wall. All sorts of weird things started happening. Astral sparks would fall through the floor, the mob would de-evade in the middle of the fight, sparks would come out at an uber-fast rate... We'll try again after a reset, or once the GM responds to my ticket.

We're not expecting a huge fuss with Aran. It's a learning fight for sure and a dps check, but with 5 shaman and 4 mages we've got plenty of interrupts and grounding totems. Dodging the blizzard will probably be the hardest part.

I was thinking of the the Blizzard and the arcane explosion where he pulls everyone in and does the slow.

EDIT: Pretty curious to see the Moroes fight and how you handled the adds.

With the arcane explosion, you can dispell the slow and a quick follow macro should work just fine.

As for blizzard, we'll see how well we can kite that. Aran is rough on healing.

The general Moroes strat was such:
Paladin healer (Vyndree's): Velani, resto shammy (Vyndree's)
Warrior healer (Suvega's): Suvega, holy priest (Suvega's)
DPS: 3x ele shammies (Vyndree's) / 3x fire mages (Suvega's)

Warrior pulls. Paladin taunts off the warrior (Moroes is untauntable) while the priest shackles the mob that cleaves (the paladin can exorcism before the shackle to keep the mob's aggro off the priest). Once the 3 mobs are far enough away from the shackle, the paladin consecrates and aoe tanks the 3 while the dps unloads on the healer/dispeller mob. Earth shock the healer/dispeller's heals. When she's down, move on to the two other adds. Paladin should be exorcism'ing Moroes to remain 2nd on aggro since the Warrior's healer (priest) will be fighting against you. Typically the warrior should tank Moroes next to the paladin in order for consecrate to hit Moroes. Keep as many poison cleanse totems up as you can - the paladin will likely not be able to remove poison because they'll constantly be in the GCD keeping consecrate/holy shield/exorcism'ing moroes. After the last two mobs are down, the Paladin will holy shield + exorcism the last add (who cleaves) and start fighting for aggro with Moroes. This is where the dps starts to hit Moroes. Whenever Moroes vanishes, they will attack the mob that cleaves. There's a good reason to keep it alive - a paladin can't generate threat without mana, and can't get mana without heals. The last mob doesn't hit that hard on plate and even though you'll probably be downing mana pots, you need all the mana you can get to compete with the holy priest's aggro from healing the warrior all fight. Ideally the two healers could switch mid-fight so that neither one is insanely high on Moroes's threat list, but it's hard to coordinate. Alternately, the pally can BoSac the warrior to get mana via heals or to knock themselves out of a gouge if they're MT'ing Moroes. Anyway, during the vanishes, if it hits the paladin and the paladin is not tanking anything, they can bubble and immediately remove the bubble to get rid of the bleed. The paladin can also BoP one of the shaman if they get garotte, but this is once every 2 min so it's typically saved until late in the fight. The mages can iceblock out of the garotte and the priest can use stoneform (dwarf racial) to remove the bleed. The warrior and the remaining shaman just heal through it. Once it's down to just Moroes, watch the threat, and tank&spank him down with the two tanks fighting for aggro.

See? Simple. ;) ;) ;)

Key points to remember:
Be on top of your heals, but not on top of threat
Watch the shackle. It CAN break early and it WILL go straight for the priest. A timely exorcism before the shackle will help start the aggro off on the paladin.
Do not consecrate immediately after the pull. Otherwise you'll end up with aggro on the paladin -- from the adds AND moroes.
Watch where you consecrate and where the shackle is, or if the shackle is going to break where the mob is going.
Shaman wear mail. They don't hurt much from the garotte. However, they do hurt quite a bit from being OOM thanks to spamming chain heal.
The warrior needs to focus on keeping shield block up. Untimely crushes are BAD. Especially with the holy priest riding the paladin's ass on the threat list.
The first add (the healer) should NEVER be allowed to heal. Earth shocking heal > burst damage.
Tank the cleaving mob AWAY from your party
Never let a mob hit you in the back. You can't block them when they're behind you.
Poison cleansing totem. Stack that b*tch. If it hits a healer, lay another poison cleanse totem.
Grounding totem up at the pull. It'll eat holy fires/judgements from two of the adds.

Good work you two. Looking forward to when I get home and can watch the video. Blast these firewalls at work! I'm restricted to pretty much surfing the web and doing normal work =|

Anyway, don't take Aran lightly. It will be chaos when the elementals spawn. You might wanna consider LOS'ing with the t6 priest and aoe fear them. I'm guessing you will have to throw caution out the window and just good old nuke him down. Oh, and post your 1% wipes also, with voice recordings, swearing and the lot. Haha, that'd be fun =)

Ask Suvega about the time that his macros messed up and he PoM-Pyro'ed the last add in the Moroes fight while we were burning down Moroes...

We changed our tactic to tanking/killing the last mob before Moroes and downed Moroes the next try. But he does have a great view of the accidental pom+pyro caught on fraps.

Nothing too spectacular but i took my Priest / Lock / Lock tri box team into Deadmines last night at lv 17 (dinged 18 inside) - cleared up to and including the first boss with no wipes.

Unfortunately I forgot about the 2 elites that spawn and come up behind you after killing the ogre boss and whilst sitting around tweaking some macros I got jumped and wiped - it was about 1 am at this point so i spirit rezd and logged - will try to get a bit further tonight but VC seems out of the question with just 3 toons (damn my pc!)

Level 63 - Paladin Tank, Shaman Heal, 3x Mages DPS

Hellfire Rampart

Trash mobs were easy, even when there was a group of 4-5 because of my 3 mages == 3 sheeps

First Boss - Watchkeeper Gargolmar
Sheeped both of his adds, tank and spanked the boss until dead. Then took out one of the add with the other sheeped, then took out the last add.
It's funny to hear the boss yelling "Heal me" and nothing happenening.

2nd Boss - Omor the Unscarred
Would have been easy... but didn't know about the curse AOE aura so I wiped once. Read about it, spaced everyone out from each other and brought him down.

3rd Boss - Vazruden and Nazan
Wiped about 4 or 5 times. Finally figured it out. Full DPS on the rider while keeping an eye out on where the fireballs are and moving the team if needed. Once the dragon landed, had my Paladin tank the dragon while the DPS continues whacking on the rider until dead. DPS down the dragon while moving my tank around to avoid the fireballs and keeping the flames away from my team. Finally dead as red.

Dragonblight Alliance:

32 Dranei Shaman - Scherman (Resto spec)
4x 32 Dranei Hunters - Scherbek, Scherbin, Scherbag, Scherbog (Beast spec)

So far I've been able to clear:
WC, DM, Stocks, RFK, SM:GY, SM:Lib

Plan is to swap in a feral druid toon for one of the hunters around 40. Also have a buddy that is 4 boxing (5 with wife playing tank) on the same server. Hope is to try Kara at some point.

Just started a new trio that I eventually will use for 3v3 arenas.

Shaman (Resto) - Phuuk
Warlock (Demo) - Phuuc
Warlock (Demo) - Phuuq

Current Level: 23

Edit: I am finding so far that 3 chars with 2 pets can function in a 5 man setting rather well. With my setup, I have 1 healer, 2 DPS, and 2 tanks. The VW's have just as much health and armor as a true tank. I know this changes at higher levels, but is working great for now.

Instances
RFC - cleared at 15, no wipes. VW's tank, shaman heals, warlocks dot + drain
WC - cleared at 22, no wipes. Took a long time though, almost 2 hours.

Druid, Mage, Lock, Hunter, and Priest.

5boxing I've cleared:

Ramparts, Blood Furnace, Slave Pens, Underbog, Mana Tombs and Auchinai Crypts.

Tonight my goal is Sethekk Halls, then Old Hillsbrad and Black Morass.

Druid and Mage are 70. Druid in kara/SSC gear. Mage in hyjal/BT gear. The other three are only 69, in a mix of greens and blues. Gearing up pretty quick, however.

(and I don't even mind when every boss drops unusable plate, cause those shards sell pretty damn well)

Got up to 11 tonight after finishing my bear form and fire totem quests, so I thought I'd give RFC a shot. Destroyed the first two worm mobs no problem. Went to pull the 3rd mob which is a level 15 earth elemental and I see "Immune" flash across all 5 screens. Uh oh! Ran out with only one death and then regrouped. Got Flame Shock onto the bar for the Shaman (hadn't seen a need for it up till now) and gave it another shot. Spamming moonfire and FS, some heals between cooldowns and 4 Searing Totems blasting away I barely managed to kill it.

Running a 4 toon team atm which is pushing my Pentium 4 to the limits, so I have been going into instances slightly higher than I would normally.

I rolled the mage a couple of weeks later than the rest when i upgraded my Ram , so he has been playing catchup.

So far my Priest / Lock /Lock /Mage team has cleared:

Deadmines - lvs 25, 25, 25, 22

SFK - lvs 26,26,26,23 - this was SOOO easy, the mobs were grey in the first half of the instance - I have since read that SFK was 'retuned' for 18-21 a couple of patches back - dammit if I had known that I would have gone earlier to farm all those blue cloth pieces - as it was I did it once and left in search of XP.

Stockades - 27,27,27,25 - I hit respawns halfway through due to my 'slow and steady approach' - If any of the bosses in here actually dropped loot on a regular basis I would be farming this place , but 1 run and zero blues makes this a one stop only kind of place.

Not sure whether to go for RFK, with it being in the middle of Horde central , will check out the caster drops on wowhead. SM is looming now , I will be hitting the graveyard at 30 i think.

(mage up to lv 28 now, catching up fast , I am doing all collection quests on him only to try to close the XP gap)

Hey there,

i am playing a blood Elf team (Pala,Hunter,Warlock,Mage and Priest) and i cleared Scarlet Monastery tonight. All chars are lvl 36. Whiped 2 times before killing Whitemane and her Boss. I really enjoyed Scarlet Monastery since first entering Graveyard at 31. I started multiboxing 1 month ago and it lead me back to wow after 1 year of absence due to massive boredom and lack of goals besiceds extensive raiding which i hate.
Its so much fun to play an instance with a good tactic on your own :D rather than rushing trough it with an overpowered bunch of (imcompetent) strangers.

I would not like to have 2 or more of the same class so i will try the hard way of multiboxing. is anyone here playing 4 or 5 different classes and already doing outland instances ?

have fun

finished SM at 41, did RFD at 42 but it was really boring and I've now moved onto Uldaman and cleared twice, no wipes. I've got to say that when I was a single boxer I hated Uldaman, but as a multiboxer it's my favourite instance so far as there's so many nice drops for the whole team. I'll do a few more runs as my lowbie mage isn't high enough for the discs quest yet but I'm getting nice xp and drops.

Wow, time flies!!! I've been meaning to post my progress, but before I knew it I hit 40 with my 5man (er person) team.

Quested until 25 before I read about boosting, then used my 70 holy pally to take us through Stocks and then SM. Started to do ZF, but seems like it's taking too long. Will see if questing is faster at this point. If only I had a 70 mage!

Currently 53 on my 4x huntards. Last instance I ran was a Princess Maraudon run. I tried out Sunken Temple and Blackrock Depths. Both turned out to be immensely boring but pretty easy. So since about lvl 47 I have been questing ALOT. It's actually really fun and about as fast as instance grinding. I think the only reason I'm actually enjoying the questing is two things:

1. Questhelper!!!!! (best addon in the world)

2. The zones are fun. I love Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, EPL, WPL, Winterspring, Felwood, Un'goro crater.

First post for me in this Thread.

I lvled to 19 on Blood Mist Ilse and then headed to DM and have been in instaces ever since. My general plan of attack is make sure I get all quests for the instance and run it until done. This has meant doing some running around and some painful quests at time, but mostly ok. I have also run instances multiple times until read to progress to the next instance.

So far it has gone like this.

DM- 19
SFK- 22
BFD - 24
RFK - 25
Stocks - 26
Gnomer - 27
SMGY - 30
SMLIB - 32
SMARM - 36
SM CATH - 37
ULDA - 39
.......

Not sure if I will keep doing instances now or head off and clear some quests.

I'll run Ulda a few more times and then decide.

updates for me, been doing other things recently.

dinged 44 just a bit ago. instance updates are:

armory full clear on first try at 36.5 (some where 36 others 37)

cathedral full clear at 38 with a couple wipes. mostly caused by those damn scarlet wizards.

one shotted uldaman(including archeades) at 40 but didnt really like the instance so only ran once

mara orange side... eww was able to do it at 42 but it was painful with resists and such. and @43 i still was not able to kill noxxion. he spawns just too many adds for me to deal with and I usually wipe at around 20% after the 3-4th spawn.

mara purple side... full clear @42. was even easier than orange side IMO. Celebras is just laughable. did wipe some usually do to the stealthed mobs arriving at worst possible times. I still have some deaths but usually its just because i go fast, if I slow down so I can use my cooldowns every pull It would be easy mode but take a lot longer. (cooldowns being bloodfury and omgyes elemental mastery)

mara inner... still working on this. As of 43 I was not able to even kill those hydras reliably. They hit way too hard, too much hp and resists were horrid (they are 46-47 after all). Princess will be interesting. I actually was not aware she was immune to nature (mentioned above) so my strat wil be intersting for this. It is no big deal though because I plan to be here for atleast a little while to gear up my guys, lots of excellent caster stuff in here which should really help my damage output (plus i still need 2-3 levels to even equip any of it) After this I may dable in ZF but the savage set in BRD has caught my eye so i think that will be my next target. Not to mention the cloth drops from humanoid mobs will be handy later for tailoring alts and first aid.

PS - Im having a BLAST. and vyndree/suvegga you guys are awsome.

*update* pushing thru inner mara, lvl 44 with the resist rate and new rank of lightning bolt made the hydras easy mode. These elemental patrols really piss me off. all immune to nature and spawn lots of adds when they die. my melee is ok but they have some prety hefty defense. But what is making me hate this place are these damn demietradon packs.. the 3's were bad but these 4 and 5 pulls are pretty much a garaunteed wipe. they always get to my party and then just chain silence everyone. All I can really do is pop cooldowns and kill one or two in the group then ankh and repeat and it really annoys me..maybe just farm outer and move on as much as I want those daggers off princess... :(

1) Ragefire chasm.

pain in the ass instance, its so long to walk between bosses. its quite easy however and doing quite well with not much wipes. if I was more careful I could get it done without wipes. average time is about an hour for 2 bosses, (I took a break from killing 2 came back later killed another 2).

after getting concecrate its way easier holding aggro on mobs.

2) 1x pally (tank) 1x lock 2x mages - all lev 20

I think maybe I shoulda replaced one of the mages with a shammy but I think it might get abit complicated, I haven't levelled or played a shaman before so I don't know how complicated it could get.

Update from me.

Went into ZF at lvl 42. Luckily for me I dinged 43 at the start of the instance.

This has been the most challenging instance for me yet. The blood drinkers, and witch doctors require some thought for positioning every fight (god I hate using my brain) and the Hunters were just painful. I learnt to take the hunters down real fast, as if they Hex my pally who is my leader, the shammies just run around in circles following the frog, whilst I quickly remember what keybind I have to hit to change leader. If it was 1 or 2 hunters this is no problem, because you can just burn them down from distance and leave the aggro with the Shammies. The problem is when its 1 or 2 hunters with supporting witch doctor and blood drinker. This requires the pally to pick up aggro on the dr and drinker whilst burning down the hunters. Now for whatever reason, maybe its how the mechanics work, when ever in this situation, without fail my pally would get hexed. I guess its the hunters job to take down the one with the most aggro. I could get myself out of this situation, but it was annoying and usually resulted in one of shammies getting killed :(

I ended up clearing the instance at lvl 43. No good drops. Plan on running 2-3 more times before some easy quests around Tanaris and then off to Mara.

Im currently lvl 46.

Well, I've actually never posted here with what I've done so far.

My team (see my sig) was a collection of a mid 60's Priest I had sitting around (she was one of my 1st chars created at launch and I feel like I actually play the healer role very well), and a low 60's Hunter that I had recently level due to never having played one yet. The Huntard was poorly geared and truth be told I was not very good at playing him. I was everything wrong with the average Hunter player rofl. No shot rotation to speak of, just pet + pewpew, loot and carry on.

I decided to roll up a Pally tank and 2 Mages and get to questing, with a wee bit of boosting thrown in early on.

Sooooo... my peeps are now:

61 Paladin
61 Mage
61 Mage
64 Hunter
68 Priest

I went to Hellfire at 57 with them, and I basically did all of 57-58 in a big fat AoE grinding explosion. It was very fast and very profitable. Then at 58 I started questing Hellfire, finished all of it, then went into Zangarmarsh.

My team is sitting at 61.75... and completely out of Outlands quests lol. It sucks. So I figured I would take them into Ramparts and grind it out.

Ugh. What a relity check. Being that I quested almost exclusively I hadn't really tested my setup in a dungeon in a long while. I got spanked a bunch of times, my setup, strategies and macros need some help. Multi mob pulls, healing, wipe recovery etc etc all a big mess. I spanked Gargolmar twice, and gave up for now.

So, back to Azeroth to do Strath/Scholo quests and basically re-learn my team for dungeon running. The instances so far are way easier and the quest exp should easily get me to 62. At 62 I can hand in all those Fertile Spores I looted and get my Pally his Sporeggar shield, the Ench recipes, etc etc. Not to mention a whack of new quests open up at 62.

I think with some more practice and a little bit more exp/gear I should be a lot more comfortable in Outlands dungeons.

Working toward 4 x Shadowmeld + Prowl = PvP hilarity.

VC 19-21
BFD 22-24
RFK 25-28
SMGY 29-31

Instances have been really easy so far, except for latency issues which sometimes screws up my targeting and sends my pets to the wrong mobs if I try to go too quickly. I hit a wall of boredom in SMGY, so went to Desolace to do a little questing to break up the monotony. I am seeing Centaur Ears in my sleep now. Anyway, I'll hit the Library at 32 or 33 and continue the instance grind. It has been a lot of fun so far, and I can't forsee too many places in instances before outlands where I will have a problem.

Cleared heroic underbog( this instance is surprisingly easy, good starting point for anyone else looking to get into heroics along with SP ). Also cleared H Mech, H Botanica, and H Durnholde(this one has become much easier post 2.4-no lookouts now). I'm going to be working on H Magisters next I believe, seems to be the least difficult one left to do the more I think about it.

I did RFC at 14 with just a few problems the first round. Later on I farmed it with no problems.
Secondly I did WC at 18, fully cleared all the way up to the big Elemental boss. He just hits to hard :) .
Will try SFK at 22.

So last night I finally experienced the true power of quad boxing when a s3 70 lock tried to attack my 4 lvl60 huntards. At this point we are decked out in BC greens, so we have nice AP and Stamina finally. Pretty much destroyed the lock and his rogue friend (not sure what lvl, but he was dead within seconds too). Lock was creamed, so I fled the area expecting more 70's and alli's to show up.

With this new found power, I got cocky and headed off to Scholomance. Was getting nice xp with rest, 750xp per mob. Made it to Rattlegore with 1 wipe. Then Rattlegore humbled my group and I hearthed out after a second wipe.

I hate not having rezzers/healers.

My first team was 3 x Draenei mage which I got to level 48 - they are now parked in an inn...

My new team is 3 x elemental shaman and 1 x prot paly which are all now at level 51, almost 52.
Im using my level 70 mage to run them through BRD until they are level 52, then im just going to quest.

To level the shamans: Quest 1-10
SFK 10-20
SM 20-40
ZF 40-48
BRD 48-52

They are on 2 days /played time at the moment.

Finally found time this weekend to finish up normal Arcatraz and Magister's Terrace. So I've now completed every normal zone (even corpse-running through Orgrimmar to get to Ragefire Chasm!) at the intended level. In terms of heroics, I've cleared Mech, Botanica, Underbog, Slave Pens, Ramparts, Shattered Halls and CoT:Hillsbrad. Working on the rest as time permits.

After some bitching and complaining in guild chat (thanks for putting up with me fellow Zerg) and several wipes in Living Strat, I cleared it and pwned Balnazzar's face. Most of the wipes were due to operator error and bad luck. I was getting mad that my 4 hunters failed to take on 8 mobs at once. :cursing:

I can see that strat will be a nice place for money.

*edit* downed first boss of Ramps. Will make a video of it when I go back. Was pretty dang easy, but had to use cooldowns. I was lvl 61. In fact, any pull that has a destroyer in it I have to use beastial wrath.

When I got to the top of the stairs, I used beastial wrath and 4x explosive traps to utterly decimated all the casters. I pulled them around the corner and proceeded to melt their faces with ease. Didn't attempt second boss because I had to call it a night, but I imagine he will be Trivial. The last boss however I may need to recruit a healer.

My primary objective is PvE instance grinding, which some quests here and there in between, most of which are related to the dungeons.

Deadmines 16-20 (3)
BFD 20-23 (2)
Stockade 23-25 (2)
RFK 25-27 (2.5)
Gnomer 27-30 (2.5) with an entire level gained just on quest XP
SM GY 30-33 (10+)
SM Lib 31-34 ( 8 )
SM Arm 34-37 (4)
RFD 35-37 (2.5)
SM Cath 37-38 (2)
Uldaman 38-41 (2.5) the amount of quest xp available is fantastic
ZF 41-44 (2.5) - getting the mallet to summon Gahz'rilla is downright painful at these levels!
Mara 44-47 (2.5) - finally found out that Amplify Magic on the tank is NOT a good thing here
Sunken Temple 47-50 (2.5) - easy except for the final boss which took some planning ahead
50-53 - Questing in WPL/Felwood/BRD Prereqs
BRD 53-56 (approx 2)
LBRS 56-58 - No full clears, got to the spider area before I hit 58 and went straight to Outlands
Outlands Quests - 58-60+

Next up: Ramparts but I'm not sure when yet...

Was a list ever compiled out of this information? I don't feel like going through 9 pages to look, but I figured if one was made it'd be in the reserved reply.

I might just do that, and make a list myself

Cleared SFK at 20. Only took 3 tries starting at level 18/19. Got to Springvale and beat him but my gear was so shot I had to leave. The next try my team leveled up to all 19's so I was able to make it all the way to Arugal (my gear was trashed after Nandos). Beat Nandos and then got to Arugal and got thorougly stomped, due to my red gear and lower level. Went through a third time and all but one dinged 20 before I got to Arugal (didn't get level 20 skills except on Warrior), beat Arugal after losing the priest twice, my warrior once (soulstone res'd him) and two of my locks. Finished him off with dots luckily.

Time to start farming it!

Entered Zangarmarsh Saturday fresh at 62, did alot of quests and logged out at about 35% leveled. Came back Sunday did more quests and wound up at about 85% leveled. Then did a Strath Baron run on Monday that dinged me to 63.

So yeah, Zang sucked and there are way too many collection quests there.

Because of my recent Ramps/BF experiences, I will no longer attempt other Outlands instances on my huntards unless I'm over leveled. I will likely attempt Ramps again at 66.

I will likely attempt Ramps again at 66.I'm in Zang now and love it, but then I have a prot pally and 4xAoE so for the collection quests I'm just running around collecting mobs with the pally bubbled and bursting them down, I got a /cheer from an ally warrior last night when I did 12 ogres at once lol. It's great how the mobs position themselves so when they die they're in a semicircle :) The collection quests are great for the gear upgrades. I went into Slave pens last night at 64,63,63,63,63 and then realised that I have actually never been in there before lol so had no idea. I got feared and wiped twice ha ha.

Anyway:

Carebeared SM all from 25 to 40
Ran the team properly through Ulda x 5 @ 40 - love Ulda
ZF - 48 but always failed at the steps, got the Graz though - didn't like ZF
BRD - 54 - I didn't do well at all so count myslef as pretty lame lol
Ramps - 62 - first boss ok, no wipes. Demon boss guy humiliated me again and again, got him down to 1% and I wiped >.< - prolly go back tonight as I have much better gear now.
SP - 64 - >.<

I think I might go solo on the pally to learn the instances before I take my team in as for some reason I have never done SP

Cleared Ramps last night! Woohoo. Didn't think that would ever happen, especially at 64. But I've been getting alot of decent gear lately from quests, and Ravager's DPS is really nice compared to bears. I also picked up the 59dps gun from a Nagrand quest, so that helped alot too.

Basically mowed down the first and second boss, then nervously started the third one. Maneuvered (sp?) my huntards and pets out of the fire and managed to down the orc dude. Then the dragon landed and all of my pets were in good health! Amazed, I sent them in and expected the worst. To my amazement my pets weren't even phased by the dragon breath fire thingy. All I had to do was keep mend up, and they were fine. The dragon did crappy white dmg against them too.

Got hit by a few fireballs though. One character almost died, it was pretty close. In the end 3 pets died, that was it!

Right now 99% into 64, I'll ding 65 tonight and pick up a few more quests in Nagrand, but otherwise Nagrand is pretty much done. I tried Blood Furnace but the mines did so much damage I don't think it's even worth attempting it again. The mines didn't kill any of my pets, but they were pretty damn close and I got lucky too. Only killed the first boss.

Okay, I finally get to do one. This attempt was primarily motivated by whiners on the WoW forums talking about how we lack even the most basic skill.

Shadowfang Keep - cleared fully - level 22 holy priest and 4 affliction locks.

General strategy - Succubus is good for this one. Keep them on passive and have lash of pain on auto-cast

Of note - It helps for the locks to have amplify curse, especially on the last boss (although this may be a problem since they all leveled inside the instance to 23 and I then specced it, but I think it can be obtained before). Use amplify curse with Curse of Agony so that the 4 locks end up doing something like 1200 damage just from that spell (on a single mob). The last boss had by far the most health (4500 or so) and you're going to need everything you can muster since he has very nasty abilities (control a group member via worgen transformation, ranged posion attacks that HURT, and a teleport where he just up and runs to the other end of the room).

Certain worgen in the instance, although I don't recall their label now, are immune to shadow spells, so take them on one at a time with immolate and let the succubi handle him.

The wailing guards cast a silence that lasts for a few seconds (but it seems like a lifetime). You're not going to fight them in anything but a group of two at minimum. The trick is to immolate, corrupt, and CoA to a single mob right off the bat and send the succubi after the second. When the silence wears off, have the locks dot up the other mob tanked by the succubi while the priest heals the locks / pets if needed. Sometimes they appear to come in groups of three, but that's just because one is patrolling. Wait until he's gone to ensure a good pull.

The worgen Moonstalkers (or some type of worgen with 'moon' in their name) will cast an anti-magic shield during combat so be sure to have cast anything you want to get through before this happens (usually, you just have time enough for no more than three dots per lock). It will wear off after a few seconds, but they are vulnerable to melee damage even while it is active. Usually, if things are planned and pulled well, you can alternate between two of these at a time since one likely has it's shield down (they appear to be based solely on time since when I am killing quickly, they don't cast at all, but that may be proven wrong with more observation).

Other than that, just be aware of the boss fights since Arugal will summon four voidwalkers after you kill the second-to-last boss. My priest actually died during that fight. Anyhow...

One thing I noticed, and this happened enough not to be my fault, was that the succubi would randomly attack the wrong mob all together, not at all the one that I had the locks targeting. This caused a wipe or two, but I was usually able to deal with it since I kept the priest at full mana.

Like I said, the final boss fight was a real stretch, but that was mostly due to my inattention paid to healing. Now that my healer has quite a few upgrades, I plan on going back a little better prepared to gear the locks.

I had a blast with this and encourage anyone with the means to attempt it to do so.

The grind is really starting to set in for my 4hunters, they have been 67 for a long time now. I have to force myself to play them, and I'm ahead of myself in the outlands, basically the only zone I have left to quest in is Netherstorm. Ramps is the only instance I can easily clear, but at lvl 67 xp gains are minimal for a full clear.

For some reason the fun factor for them has just come to a screeching halt, even ganking people isn't that fun anymore. I think I have my PVE group to thank.

Gonna be a loooooooooong 3 levels.

Started a nightmare quest chain called "The Cipher of Damnation". Oh. My. God. I don't even know how I finished 99% of it. But, the quest chain alone got me about 40% of a level! I started 50% into 68, did a few other quests but the Cipher chain got me a crapload of exp and a ton of money.

Dinged 69 last night after handing in the second to last part. Now I'm stuck on Cyrukh and will need help killing him, then the chain will FINALLY be over.

Then all I'll do is finish up Netherstorm then grind to 70.

Hey, first post here! I've been playing again for a little more than a week and am having a blast! Multiboxing has totally rejuvenated this game for me. Lich King? What's that? Who cares!

My four-troll shaman team just downed Serpentis in Wailing Caverns for the first time! Then we wiped on Big Elemental Guy, and that was in the run's third hour or so with plenty of repops, so I decided to quit there. Next time, since my guys hit 20 during the run and are wearing lots of shaman-happy Fang gear, it'll be a full clear, right down to the Naralex event, dammit. :)

I did a full clear of Ragefire Chasm for the first time a few days ago. It pretty much rocked when I realized I was gonna kill Jergosh that run.

So, the As-Yet Unnamed Troll Shammie Badasses of Lightbringer: Mogajulak, Shujaadulu, Logoglagu, Jobaga. Their esteemed colleague Julagdulak is sitting in an inn somewhere, awaiting that beefy Alienware rig I'm trying to convince myself I can afford.

Ragefire Chasm: 100% at 15-16, a few deaths but no wipes.
Wailing Caverns: 95% at 20, five totally disastrous wipes. Ouch.

End game instances completed so far.

Mana Tombs: Completed.
Notes: First boss, make sure to stop DPS when you see the message “so and so enters the void” it reflects spells back to you”. Just keep it dots refreshed, can drain tank, little healing required.

2nd boss, Place team away from area you want to fight. Used priest to pull, sent Void walkers in. If your team gets agro its ok, the AOE stomp is just a stun and you manage to out heal it with crap gear just fine, easy boss.

3rd boss, make sure to clear the mana feeders first before the pull. Ignore everything, just all out DPS the boss.

Underbog: Completed.

1st boss was a pita; it takes time to learn this fight. Around 80% he drops a mushroom, switch targets and toss some dots on it. When he reaches around 25% health he will drop a few more mushrooms. At this point you want to start moving backwards, continue to cast your insta cast dots on the boss. Either kill those mushrooms or pull him out of range of them (that’s what I did) then just drain tanked him down. When he drops those mushrooms he’s at ¼ hp which makes you feel that it’s no problem to finish him off. You won’t the mushrooms heal him to full in a hurry. Once I stopped trying to dps the crap out of him when he got low I beat him.

2nd 3 headed dragon boss. I placed all my guys against the wall. Pulled with Priest, on the way back towards group I sent the void walkers in. More often than not you end up looking at the boss’s side which is nice to avoid the front and back attacks he has. Towards the end I pulled agro, drain tanked him with all dots up, lost priest (soul stoned 4tw) and one lock my first time.

3rd boss. I ignored the other guy and went full dps on the bear. At 20% the bear becomes friendly to you and no longer attacks, between all the dots and drain tanking fighting the bear only took 20 seconds. The other guy just dps, no real tactic other then watch him die.
4th boss. DPS race. Keep dots up and give it all you got. Ignore agro meters lol just kill it fast. This one is a bit hard without gear.

Slave Pens: Completed

Notes: Make sure to kill the little pets in groups first to avoid fears, the Female Naga also fear but not much. If you take your time and clear half the first room you can AOE Fear the large groups and just dot them up. You’re not required to do this, but it does speed it up a tad.
1st boss this fight DPS is your last concern, not really import compared to making sure you kill the totems. The boss doesn’t do hardly any damage at all; it’s a real easy fight if you just focus on killing the totems. Just apply dots, don’t even drain tank or wand. Let the void walkers hold him down. Just wait for any totem to pop up and kill it ASAP. Reapply dots and continue focusing on totem killing. It’s a slow relaxing fight, you don’t really receive and spike damage so it’s easy to manage and heal.

2nd Big Crab dude.Just did a DPS race here, no deaths pretty easy. Drain tank is your friend here after all dots are up.

3rd Boglord boss. Make sure to get the buff from the NELF in the cage, it helps. I bunched up my guys, waited for boss to become in attack range and pulled with wand. Let boss come to shore, send pets in. I then moved behind the boss (this helps a lot, no AOE poison damage) then proceeded to DPS. I got carried away too early and ended up pulling agro. However Between priest Circle of healing and Drain tanking the boss all toons held up fine.

Ramparts: Completed
Blood Furnace: Completed

That’s all the outland ones I’ve tried so far. I’ve done pretty much all the pre BC instances with no problems. I recommend NOT going to the low instance Shadow Fang Keep with all locks. Their immune to a lot of their damage, do BFD instead.

Hi Guys,

I am running:

Paladin - Protection or Warrior - Prot
Druid - Resto Tree
Priest - Shadow
Warlock - Demonology - Or Shaman - Elemental or Mage - Frost
Hunter - Beast

Everyone is currently 66-67, the group composition is normally, Pally, Druid, Priest, Hunter, Warlock.

All pre 60 5-mans were no problem at around the level to run them, but with outlands greens on past 57.

Ramparts - on Farm - Key for this is spreading out on Omok, and Fire Resistance and moving on fire bombs for Dragon, gotta spread out while clearing the first two guys. First Full Clear 60. This is the only instance that I didn't nail on the first try, Omok was a block. Need Shadow Resistance and he was tough because if you lose melee aggro he does tons of damage and you may not know he switched targets because he doesn't move.

Blood Furnace - on Farm - No tips, super easy instance at 61

Slave Pens - on Farm - 2nd Boss tough fight, until you learn to keep the tank full. Third Boss no problem with Nature Aspect of Wild and Nature Resist Buff. Fear Ward and Divine Shield are quite useful on some fights against group fears. Mind Control sucks. First Clear at 62.

Underbog- on Farm - Hungarfen sucks, but it's like the dragon from ramparts. Set frames on so you can see the shrooms growing and move. Black Stalker sucked until I used mushrooms to not fly up, and really get good aggro before firing. Otherwise spread out and tank and spank. Sometimes he aggros in preparation and will kill a guy or two, but once you set up its a walk in the park. First Clear at 64.

Mana Tombs - is next.

I believe that most if not all 5 man content can be done 5 boxing. There are very very few limitations.

OK,

Well, in terms of my operation it is probably no different than what anyone else might run. I have a lot of cast sequences that I spam and they are different for each toon, but with a similar theme on each button. It just required a good bit of setup time. One interesting thing to note is that when I am DPSing I am watching the hunters global, and activating everything on that because most of his stuff is 1.5 second cast, with blank spaces in the Mind Flay cast sequence on the preist to prevent interruption and maximize DPS. Other than that, it's probably about the same as everyone else.

Mana Tombs was on Farm at 66-67 - My goodness. . . The first two bosses were cake. However, Nexus-Prince was no joke. In order to kill him I had to resort to the following: Frost Resistance Gear on the tank, Fire Resistance Potion on Tank (just basic potion, not greater). Then, I needed to make a targeting Macro for the Beacons because otherwise it just could not happen. Wow, dropped him 3x and got stupid ethereal longbow each time. :(

Auchindoun Crypts - Again, My goodness. Shirrak the Dead Watcher sucks. Killed me ~ 15 times before I got him the first time. Basically, I send the pets to tank early and DPS until they die. Then, I switch off to the paladin (this helps with bite stacking). When the big nuke comes I strafe left or right depending on position. When my toons get pulled in I charge them forward and follow the main healer to reorient their position and continue to DPS/heal. Quickly Resummon pets (I'm specced for it), and send em to die to bite again. It's a big positioning game, and it's really ridiculous. I'm going to go do it for the second time right now :). I really wonder how other multiboxers do this guy. I had to make A LOT of adjustments to do him. It makes my brain explode to just think about what I just pulled off. So much micromanagement. Exarch whatever his name is is a tank and spank with periodic adds. First time no problems. - Update, Shirrak is on Farm, I just did him with no deaths. I think there might be some situations where it gets out of control, but for the most part this method works great.

So, Mana Tombs and Auchindoun Crypsts are down :) at 67-68, my toons are in guild Team Wanders on Stormscale. Persieval, Drood, Doord, Zeu, Tid, Uth, Viviane, Vainne if you care.

UPDATE - Old Hillsbrad Foothills down. - Once I understood the scripting there were many fewer problems. I still haven't made it through without a wipe, but I've cleared it twice. 2nd time only had one wipe, and 1 dump to thrall death of the fights before epoch hunter. Hmmmm. I really like this instance. First clear all toons were 68.

UPDATE - Sethek Halls down - My Goodness, Talon King Ikiss is the most challenging boss that I have tried up until this point. I blew 3 hours on him trying to learn him, and then finally dropped him with only 3 toons alive. Interestingly I took him from 35% to 0% with only 3 toons, twice. The primary issue is healing through the arcane bolts. The priest needed to use prayer of mending/healing through most of the fight just to get through the damage. I did this at 69, and it was very challenging with no arcane resistance. I've seen some examples of people multiboxing this guy on heroic, and I'll tell you a simple fact: You won't kill him without a lot of arcane resistance. Get the arcanoweave, enchanted adamantite, whatever it takes to mitigate his arcane volley damage. Avoiding the Arcane blast with LOS isn't hard. It's the volley that ignores LOS that is the problem.

UPDATE - All toons are 70, time to hit the Arenas, and PVP for the "I can lose every single game and still get awesome purples" gear.

UPDATE - Steam Vaults on Farm now - Kalithresh is such a pushover if the tanks are destroyed, but such a monster if they are not. I wonder if the designers considered lag when they made an encounter with 4-5x 8 second windows that cause a wipe if you blow them.

My team consists of 1x BE Paladin (Tankadin) and 4x BE Warlocks (Affliction).

1) Wailing Cavern, lvl 20, no big deal. 4x Voidwalkers, Paladin pretty much just healed or did nothing. Even with some bad pulls I didn't wipe but this is the place to learn some basic pulling strategy. It was so easy I didn't even bother clearing the whole instance. Nothing in there I really needed.

2) Shadowfang Keep, lvl 25/24, very easy. 3x Voidwalkers, 1x Imp because of the shadow immunity of some of the mobs. Most of the early stuff was grey to me and even Arugal himself was green. I play at work and someone came into my office just as I sent the VWs at arugal... talked for about 1 minute, came back, ran to where he had jumped to and killed him. Only lost 1 VW while being AFK. I chose devotion aura. This is where I really practiced keeping my casters back, sending in the VWs, run my DoT macros, then charging in with SoC, etc., then drain life from the locks. Mobs dropped quick. Learned what kind of beating I could take and still live. No wipes at all and even at lvl 25 all the quests in here were still yellow so I got max experience from them. If you like to grind instances this would be good for anyone at about 20-22 for best experience.

3) Blackfathom Deeps... lvl 25 all around... by the time I left my main was 27 and my alts were 26. I only wiped once. If you are smart you'll never really pull more than 2 mobs per pull. Even if you do at lvl 25 its was a cake walk as long as you keep the Twilight Reavers with their cleave away from you, or drop them fast. I didn't even realize I had pulled them and then noticed my health was dropping fast because I wasn't spread out... and I forgot to SS me. Fortunately there were no respawns and I completed all 4 quests. I'm going to wrap up some quests in S Barrens and then RFK...

4) First time into RFK I made a very bad pull and ran all my toons out while the demons kept their attention. After that it was smooth sailing. I didn't bother doing the escort quest, just hearthed out after the final boss. I really didn't have any problem even if I pulled 4 mobs at once. 2x VWs tanked, 2x imps added to dps, warlocks dotted and drained life, paladin would heal whatever VW was taking the most damage with Flash of Light and sometimes offtanked if the mobs got close enough for if some broke away from the VW taunts and got to close to the casters. Toughest fight actually was Overlord Ramtusk ('http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=4420'), who hit the VWs hard, and whose companions had a multishot attack that really hurt. I focused fired the boss, and then when he dropped the other two dropped quickly. If I did it over again I may drop the two others first because of their multishots. Charlga Razorflank had significantly more health than the rest, had to DoT her almost a third time, but the VWs handled it well. I'm going to run this place a couple more times because the money was good, got some wool and silk cloth, and the experience at lvl 26-27 was very good. Everyone leveled once here, so pally is half way through 28, warlocks are halfway through 27 and the mobs are still mostly yellow to them. As an added bonus I had my first few PvP kills when I stumbled onto some alliance making a run for the instance. Dropped them 3 times before they ever got to the portal.

Now... do I dare do Gnomeragon, or quest until I can get SM? We shall see... I do find it interesting that with SM in friendly territory I could make it to lvl 45 without ever going into PvP area (aside from ashenvale I guess)

I wasn't ready for this. Half a dozen wipes and I'm going to skip it until I'm majorly outgeared. The lowest I got him to was 38%, and that included popping all skills possible. The combination of melee AoE bleed debuff, focus fires, and teleports ruining my heals just destroys me.
This fight is ridiculous.

Actually.. my next thought. Run the entire group past him as far as possible, but not quite to the next group of mobs. Die. Reincarnate. Rez party. Continue instance..

I'm likely hitting these a little late, but I'm not worrying about any gear on the Shammies. I think I still had a white from level 1 on them until 38. In fact, I just checked and two of them still have the Staff of Westfall, white bracers, and a grey cloak at 40 :(

5 x Elem Shaman

Sethekk Halls cleared at lvl 67. First half of the instance is comfortable; second half is a pain - all groups of 4 mobs, with a series of nasty abilities (add damage curse, mind control, AE fear).

I burnt down Talon King Ikiss easily. Stand right next to one of the pillars when you pull him, soon as he blinks you know he is going to do his AE, so the instant he blinks do a 180 around the pillar to block it and take the chance to do a 5 x chain heal to top up and recast your grounding totems. Purge took care of the damage absorption spell he cast at lowish life.

I'll add my bit in here:

Team:

Druid (boomkin at 40), 4 Shaman (elemental)

RFC: Easy as pie, I did it when I was 15

WC: I waited until I had healing totem for this, 21 I think it was.

SM Lib (@ 36), Arm (@ 38), Cath (@ 41): All cleared, 1 wipe in Lib, a few deaths on the others but no wipes.

ZF (@ 46): Cleared, 3 total deaths, no wipes, all crypts open. Still didn't get all the troll temper. One more go now that I have the mallet on all my toons.

ST: Debating if I want to run this for my lvl 50 quests. I really hate it normally, so I might just skip it and get to 60 for Outlands.

ok i started 5 boxing to to take advantage of the RAF (refer a friend) program blizzard started, dam does it work well.

AT the end game i wanted a pally tank, a shaman healer, a druid healer, a druid tank or dps and a warlock dps, so....

i run, pally tank, shaman healer (rearly needs to heal), warlock, 2x druids (balance spec for 5 boxing)

i have run successfully every dungeon in the game without problems, see screen shot at lvl 50, my toons are all now lvl 68.5 and i am also running the outland dungeons, at least as effectively as a PUG. I have occationally died, and have had some trouble with bosses that continuesly AOE the squishes, like the dragon in the rampants, he places a fire under your tank and the squishies, creating a real problem with trying to keep everyone out of the different fires, first boss in zangermash has a simular problem with the mushrooms and circle of poison. the solution to this i am using is, i tank with there back to my squishies and "do not pass" the key "S" for those boss fights, that way they follow me as i move my tank arround walking backwards, maintaining my tanks block/dodge and dps.

[img=http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/2059/5boxzfgahzrillaka0.jpg]
In all i am really enjoying this 5 boxing arrangement, i have saved sooo much time and i dont have to wait to organize a PUG.

leveling has been done amazingly fast as the played time is effectively divided by 5 to see how much time was spent on each toon. with the RAF program i effectively leveled 7 toon to lvl 57 in 17 hour played time each. (including gifted levels). which i know could be done faster if i didn't need to do the class quests, they are a waste of time as the gear will be replaced in now time and you are only getting xp for one toon. this is also the first time i have leveled toons on my own, my brother helped me level my first toon, i just followed him around. thank god for quest helper :).

total additional cost to get started is $240 {$300-$60 free game time on main account}. (4X $40- wow BC edition packs {buy from store, not trail upgrade from blizzards web site},4X $30- 60 day time cards {this gives your main account 4 months free with ARF reward}, 1x $20 for lifetime purchase of keyclone. total math is ($160+$120+$20=$300)-$60=$240.

with my played time to date to lvl 68.5 being 9 days, 2hours, 39 minutes, 39 seconds. this mean i have saved that x4 in time= 37 days of real time, i would trade $240 for 37 real days of life back any time. I have now spent a total of 44 hours per toon to this level.

but for me leveling is not the part of the game i like, for me the game starts at end game points, right now it is lvl 70. soon to be level 80.

A note on game play, when it comes to playing different class toons people worry about fiting 5 keyboard into 1. this is not a real problem, because wow is designed to be played of just a few keys, no matter what you class is...., so i play all my 5 toon of just 4 main keys i use repetitively (yes this includes my tanks heals and dps), and 2 more keys i hit about 25% of the time. any other keys i would be lucky to hit 1% of game play time as in the game play of wow they represent noise, ignore them. you use the 4 main spells/abilities of your talent tree wether you are the healer , tank or dps, it doesn't matter just insert the spell for that character into that key slot on you tool bar. I use /assit macro's , even if you tank dies just keep attacking and hit tab to reselect target, if you tank dies there usually wont be much left of the enemy.

so with the above system whether i play one toon or 5 toons i am always hitting the same key combination. rather repeatitive i know, but that is the way the game is built, KISS.

Well i hope this provides some insight and help, its time for me to get back to playing.

my first toon is aussiehyena.

Protection Pally + 4 Elemental Shamans

No BG gear, started grinding faction at 63+ so equipped with mostly faction blues when starting the easier heroics.

I've uploaded some clips just to share. nothing professional though. I try to add to it weekly: www.youtube.com/5boxhk ('http://www.youtube.com/5boxhk')

Normal Cleared: Magister's Terrace Normal, Shadow Labs, Caverns Of Time, Old Hillsbrad Foothills

Heroic Cleared: Underbog, Steamvaults, Slavepens, Mech, Botanica, Shattered Halls, HellFire Ramparts, Blood Furnace, First 3 bosses of MgT, Setthek Halls, Mana Tombs

I tried to get 4/5 of dungeon set for the pally asap in order to cut down righteous defense to 8 seconds. Made a HUGE difference in the ability to ping-pong the bosses back and forth while DPSing them down (no need to build aggro, which in turn wastes mana from shammies to heal)

Hope this helps those weekend warriors strictly going the PVE route. :)

Hi,

I recently started 5boxing (or rather I run 5 chars on one pc, 30" screen, vista64 quad core and radeon 4870x2 helps) I made a post in the newcomer section with some pre tbc updates.

I run 1 Paladin tank, x3 Beast Master Hunters, 1 Holy Priest, atm I use tenacity pets for extra hp armor

When I became 60 I hit outlands, I did allot of the quests 1st to become 61, this I recommend since there are allot of easy quests that give you good gear and xp, ofc I aint 5boxing to quest, but with the right addons(quest helper) and the fact that you run 5 chars you make hysterical amounts of xp fast doing kill x mob quest :)

so once my paladin hit 61 I went to Ramparts (2 hunters were still 60), my hunters are non twinked, the best weap I had was a blue gun from maraduron 35dps, the other 2 had lvl 30 green guns lol :)

I always drop ice trap should some add get lose or whatever as a precaution, also 3 tenacity pets helps with tanking should something happen to my paladin.

I burned right thro to the 1st boss, dps wasn't a problem neither was tanking, 1st boss was also easy, aoe tanking with paladin, burned the 2 priests down 1st and then I burned down him as well, easy as pie.

I use allot of LoS pulling with paladin to gather casters etc bunched up and then consecrate aoe tanking, I will have to fine tune this ones I hit Heroics where AoE tanking is a bit riskier with mobs doing way more dmg.

I have done these instances a gazillion times on heroic 2k+ badges farmed so all I know about these instances are from heroic mode :) ,I know the bosses have abilities on heroic that they don't have on normal, but its np being overly prepared :)

2nd boss (Demon boss), ofc the key to this boss is ranged dps and keep track of adds, again having a paladin makes it easy, some ppl have issues with manaburn but with new talents skill etc it shouldn't be a problem, use bow, seal of wisdom and you should be home safe, I consecrate to keep adds on me, and again I have tenacity pets, BEAR who swipe so they also help with adds.

Spread your chars out, don't let them stand to close to each other, I don't remember if this was only on heroic but he curses you and if you stand to close to a group mate they will prolly die :), again hit attack and burn him and his adds down, I use a lot of multishot on this boss to kill adds.

Many ppl consider the dragon the "end boss" but the Demon boss is the actual end boss, you get achievement and he also drops primal nether(on heroic).

Ok so far all have been easy, this is mostly due to the fact that I don't have to move the other chars while fighting so how will Dragon boss work???

On dragon boss I had to prepare some, remember the event start once you attack the 2 mobs before the dragon but the boss wont actually come until you kill em, so take it easy don't waste to much mana or whatever and make shure all are full health before the last mob dies.

the rider comes charging in I grab aggro run into the "ring", I put all chars on follow while I do this just to bring them into the area so it gets easier to move them around once the dragon start spewing fire once inside I release them, burn down the rider asap, pop trinkets, cd's etc, I consider one of the key elements to this fight being to kill the rider asap so you don't have to worry about him once Naz descends. to avoid fire I use the strafe keys, I whiped 1st time because I didn't pay attention to fire bombs, 2nd time I almost whiped cause I was paying to much attention to moving forgetting to heal the tank lol.

Having a priest here is really helpful, 1st they have AoE-heal, also they have instant dps/aoe heal/nuke, so anyway 2nd try I got him down YaY

I did ramp twice to gear up, I was really lucky with drops getting 3 blue plate drops, imo gearing the tank is no1 prio, I also got some blue cloth which is also great since you want your priest to have good gear, once I got honored with "honor hold" I bought each hunter 2 1h swords with good stats.

Also doing the quest for ramp will get you good blue items as reward.

Ramp is fun and fast, its a good instance to gearup some, ofc i could have done it more then twice but i lvl fast and got the gear i wanted, I dont want to do instances when they are trivial, ramp gets trivial once you hit 62

My next post will cover my travels in "Blood Furnace"

Must say that since I hit wotlk mBoxing have become a drug to me :D i follow wowwiki on lvl reqs for instances, primarily for tank and healer, dps is ok to slack some.

1 paladin 3 hunters 1 priest

UK at 70, whiped like crazy on Ingvar redid my entired setup, went from 10 buttons being pushed to 3... macros ftw.

Nexxus at 71, last boss was dishing out dmg on my tank like there was no end, healing was the challange here, keeping everyone alive, while jumping at the right moment (to lose the debuff).

AN at 72, 1st boss is easy its the 9 adds that whiped me before i got it right, big spider on 2nd try, end boss on 1st try.

I love hunters, you put a gun in their hand, ammo in their pocket and then they just tear anything, beastmaster is OP and imo no1 choice if you mbox them, the nerf inc changes nothing.

I have completed all lvl 80 instances and am now working on Heroics. So far, here's what I have done:

Utgarde Keep - easy
Old Kingdom - CC on trash was key. It took me a while to figure this out. Gave up on first boss.
Halls of Lightning - End trash was pretty tough but the bosses are easy. Tried the final boss 3 times and gave up (was just too tired).

I have:

BM Hunter
Survival Hunter
Fire Mage

Edit: Before the x-pac, I 5-boxed some heroics and Kara.

01-09-2009, 10:51 AM
I am the Spyce Girlz fivebox paladin team from US Stormscale. I have completed Heroic UK, and parts of Halls of Lightning. I am leveling up three mages with a friend, and likely replacing the 3 DPS pallies for some encounters. (Heroic Ionar with 4 clumped melee? Yeah... fricken INSANE... but managed to do it... not geared enough to heal through the Loken AOE yet.) I am putting HOL on hold right now, and going to start to attempt heroic culling and see if I can beat the timer. SHOULD be able to with 5 pallies. Noticing other fiveboxers using various classes is great... having 3 melee DPS as pallies is making a lot of the encounters crazy to finish. Even Heroic UK, I bashed my head against and thought up plans to get the melee in and out of melee range to avoid damage. Loken isn't as easy as there is just enough lag to make it impossible to get out of range in the 5s needed. I can see now how much this choice slowed me down. I may level up 3x shammies or 3x hunters if the 3x mages doesn't work as a replacement to the pally DPS core.

I also have a DK team that I powered through Outlands. I have only completed 2 quest chains in Outlands, and the rest I burned through instances. I completed ramparts at level 60, furnace at level 60, mana-tombs at 64, Seth Halls at level 67. That's using the rune-tap glyph which heals all members for 10% life every time you use Rune Tap. No healer was AWESOME fun. Attempted UK at level 70 and got handed to me with no healer, so am going to re attempt no healer at level 75 once I get some better D gear on my main DK. The team is currently 71 and slow going.

Running my fresh lvl 60 RaF group of Pally + 4 Shammies, all in AH greens, was not sure where to start with instance progression so found aetherg's guide earlier in this post (keeping in mind he probably had some decent gear from instancing to 60). Cleared DM East without any difficulties other than a near wipe on the imp (from a nasty big fire nova type attack) who holds the key to DM North and West. Going to try them both next, but not expecting it to be too hard given I only ever had to heal in boss fights.

Hope this helps anyone else with fresh RaF groups, would love to hear from any success in those going in greens to the HFP instances.

Progression (level)
29-01-09 DM East (60)
03-02-09 DM West (60) - my god it pays to read up on instance mobs before going in, wiped 5 time on first attempt, read up, cleared no probs second ;-)
03-02-09 DM North (61)
03-02-09 Hellfire Ramparts (61)
05-02-09 Blood Furnace (62) - all the bosses in this are pussycats
07-02-09 Slave Pens (63) - some mobs fear (not a prob with tremor) and some mind control, which sux if it's your tank (and you forget about divine shield :pinch: )
09-02-09 Underbog (64) - fail at first (you can rez run past) and last boss, not bothering to persevere with them
12-02-09 Mana-Tombs (65) - some pulls are harder than the bosses in this instance, putting Pandemonius on farm until I get his shield drop (takes 10 mins per kill & reset)
17-02-09 Auchenai Crypts (66) - rez ran past first boss as suggested by various d-b.com threads
17-02-09 Sethek Halls (66) - cleared this first time, first boss is a pushover, second was easiest around the end of the hall hiding my guys out of LoS for most of the fight
17-02-09 Old Hillsbrad (67) - another first time clear, loving the ease of this instance
...
Found out why aetherg had a gap between lvl 68 and 70, the rest of the BC instances need a fair deal more dps than my shammies can put out at lvl 68.

Hmm, all 10 man content bar sartharion 2/3 drakes and malygos (done with 1 up tho, and malygos will be done soon for me too once, just waiting for some hardware equipment before altering my set up accordingly to allow for vehicle boxing in a reliable manner. Currently working with crappy set up macro's for Oculus, that work, but I only have so many keys at my disposal!).

Working with my lil guild on S2d, but we're pretty casual.

All heroics done.

Not interested in 25 mans myself, and not enough time for it next to 10's.

Only just taken my level 61 team out of retirement. My life is made easier by having a level 71 healer, but I try to offset that by gimping his healing.
(It is still easier though).

So far I've completed :

@ Outland
-Ramparts (Didn't complete the end boss till 63 on the shaman 62 on the tank - but was doing the proper way not the multiboxer way)
-Blood Furnace @lvl62/lvl 63. Piece of cake. Completed this the first time. Two shaman died on the last boss due to bad positioning for his aoe blast.

I've been chipping away at heroics with my shiny new crafted epics. I've got a few bosses down, nothing fully cleared, but I'm progressin'. I've never been able to do heroics before, not even trash, so it's a pretty awesome feeling.

UtK - Prince Keleseth. Not too hard as long as I ignore the achievement. Can't down him without breaking the tombs yet.
HoL - General Bjarngrim. Easy stuff, the achievement too.
HoL - Volkhan. This guy is heroic?! I find that ignoring the adds makes the fight much easier than taking the time to deal with them, and expect they will get some kind of buff in the near future.
HoL - Ionar. A complete bastard before I learned the fight, and a pleasure after.
