First off I want to say thanks for how awesome this site is and I have searched for the issues I am asking about and was unable to find a direct answer.
I just bought Keyclone
First issue is Maximizer...
I have a 30" Samsung monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1600
Any idea's of what the settings would be to let me have one main window and 4 smaller ones ?
What kind of graphics settings should I run the clients at to keep them from getting bogged down ?
I would like the main one to look pretty I don't care about the rest
My system specs are
Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
Intel Q9550
8 GB of DDR 3 Ram
ATI 4870X2 with 2GB of DDR5
2 WD Raptors in Raid 0
Second issue is Macro's
Ill make a follow macro all on 5 accounts and then when I log off for the night some of they will disappear, so for instance I logged on today and only 2 of the 5 have the "follow" macro saved.
Also Graphic's settings don't seem to be sticking, like ill lower the resolution on one client and the next time it will bump up or down randomly. or ill turn NPC names on and then log off and next time it will be turned off again.
Thanks for the help <3

1. Could give you the settings to use, but would take a little bit to work it as I'm not at home.
2. You should have atleast 2 copies of WoW (folders) on your hard drives. Your main should be running off one of them, alts off the second (or more).
Load up the alt wow, log in to any character, set graphics to minimum, exit the game. Next time you start your alts they should all have the same graphics settings.
3. If you are running all copies of WoW from the one folder, that could be why your macro's aren't saving. Try making them in the second tab in the macros section, they are on a per-character basis.
I'd also recommend getting a 3rd hard drive. As your two raptors are in a raid you aren't able to chuck the slaves on a separate hard drive. By using mklink you can greatly reduce load times and I/O strain, even if you are running two raptors it should still be faster.
I'll get back to you on the maximiser setup
here ('http://www.solidice.com/keyclone/layouts/index.html')are layouts from the keyclone site just find your screen resolution (its at the bottom) and follow the directions and away you go.
and for the macros not saving it most likely has to do with the copies of wow. for info on symbolic linking read this thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4854') carefully it explains how to do it in there. i have 4 clients sym-linked to the main folder and have never had those issues as with this process the wtf and config files are unique to each client yet the game data is linked to conserve loading and hd space.
hope that helps!

Thanks for the post Jamien, I look forward to what you come up with for the Maximizer settings.
Good idea with the Macro's, I went to go install wow again on the same hard drive and it wouldn't let me. Do i have to rename all the icon's and folders so it doesn't auto detect the already installed copy ?

Don't bother with an install, just copy paste and it works fine.
As for the resolution, the best I could think of using one monitor won't use all the screen, as I try to keep aspect ratios the same so that if you need to use PiP (picture in picture) it doesnt look munted when a slave goes to full screen. 800x600 doesn't look good on a 1920x1200 monitor.
What I'd use if it was me, considering you have a huge monitor:
Slave1
x: 0 y: 0
maximised res: 640 x 400
actual res: 1680 1050
Slave2
x: 0 y: 400
maximised res: 640 x 400
actual res: 1680 x 1050
Slave3
x: 0 y: 800
maximised res: 640 x 400
actual res: 1680 1050
Slave4
x: 0 y: 1200
maximised res: 640 x 400
actual res: 1680 1050
Main
x: 400 y: 640
Maximised res: 1920 x 1200
Actual res: 1920 x 1200
That should work .. i think. Hard to test it when I'm not at home
It should end up being the 4 slaves identical sizes going down the left, and your main taking up most of the screen with an empty bar up the top that shows whatevers in the background.
Could be useful if you wanted to chuck something such as WoWhead up the top, who knows
