Hey there.. Been thinking of trying out Quad boxing
Would i be able to do so using only 2 computers? or would i have to get another?
I can post my Specs once i get home from work, will edit the post
also.. What Setup would be good? i was thinking something along the lines of 3 Warlocks, guess that could be pretty cool with 3 Felguards running around :P

Hi Yinkendra, welcome to the forum!
Your questions are mostly asked at the past. Try to use the search-function!

If you already have the computers get some trial accounts and see how many accounts they can each run at a time. Be sure to test in combat and in a major city.
4 is a rare number to go with but there is no reason that you can't.
Put a healer with those warlocks and you'll be just dandy. I'd suggest a priest.

i tried running WoW 3 Times on one PC.. with one Monitor
i was at about 80-89% Cpu Usage.. Graphics set down ofcourse.. If i plugged two Extra monitors in, got the programs etc.. Would this be decent to 3 Box with?

It would be best if you posted the computer specifications, as this would give us a far clearer idea of what would be possible and what you'd need to upgrade in order to gain significant amounts in performance.

Intel(r) Core(TM)2 CPU
6420 @ 2.13GHz
2.13GHz, 2.00 GB Ram
Im running with 1 Graphic Card..
The best way to answer these questions is to do it yourself. Sign up some trial accounts, try to log in 4 sessions at once. Look at the wow maximizer tool (linked in the software section) for making nicely spaced windows. Also read up on using horizontal span (nvidia) or stretch mode (ati) on your graphics card if you use multiple displays.

This is a fairly decent base setup, however WoW is Graphics Card limited. Meaning if you have a poor video-card your frame-rate will be greatly affected by it. Which one do you have?
i have 2 laptops...FYI
256mb video card is good enough to run 5 accounts IMO.
512mb video card is amazing.
2gig of ram with 256 or 512 video should be good enuff

WHAT you DO NOT want is a SHARED MEMORY for your video...geezus they should outlaw those computers from being sold. If ur PC was cheap when you bought it then most likely you dont have a video card worth playing games with. Much less dual-boxing with. A 128mb video is OK but 256mb is better.
Most of these guys will tell you....just get some trial accounts and keyclone AND goforit. You have nothing to lose but your time. And experienced gained from the effort.

From what I have read on this very informative board, I highly doubt that.
Search the vast amount of information and you might find what you need.

If you intend to do Quad-boxing it might be an idea to run the three "clone" characters on the more powerful PC, and the main character on the slightly slower PC. The Celeron PC should be good enough to get a consistantly good frame rate out of.
Good luck :-D

Parked 3 Characters in Shattrah.. fps was at about 40-50.. CPU was VERY high
Went to less crowded citys and was stuck at 50-55. Went out in the wild with 3 Characters, and was at 60 FPS or so.. Gonna plug in my other monitor and try later
