Specifically reffering to the newbie forum.

I was able to load keyclone up and within 5 minutes have it running.

/end random thread

I dont think the problem is all with keyclone. I think they're expectation is that keyclone will magically make them a multiboxer. Most probably dont understand that all keyclone will do is CLONE THE KEYS. Now they need macros and a lil setup within wow to get things working right.

I dont get the threads that say "my clone wont follow correctly", I dont even understand how that is happening to them since Ive had zero issues with keyclone.

Make macro:

/follow [name] and then bind it to a key

Whats the problem? lol

Exactly. I think some ppl just half ass read the threads or barely go into the wiki and see Keyclone everywhere and think....hey this must be the secret to all the multiboxing I've heard of. This is all I need and all will be right with the world. lol

A lot of it is just sheer lack of reading. I had a conversation with a guy in-game last night that went like this:

him: hey, how you do that?
me: /assist and /follow, mainly
him: really? that's crazy
me: works pretty good
...follows me around for 5 minutes or so...
him: that looks cool. what do you need to do that?
me: if you want the details, go to www.dual-boxing.com. There's a great wiki there that explains the basics in the getting started section.
him: ok, thanks a lot! :)
me: np
...5 minutes go by...
him: ok, I'm there and idk what to do now
me: go into the forums, then check the wiki link at the top, then go into the getting started section.
him: ok
...he logs off...

Just people completely not paying attention. /shrug

Only problem I'm having with Keyclone is that it wont shutdown when I click exit. :P But besides that it's alot more convenient than AutoHotKey. ^^ RR anyone? =)

I have this problem as well. I find that I have to actually exit the program via the system tray by the clock. If I close the actual program box, the icon stays in the system tray and can no longer interact with it, in which case a simple ctrl-alt-delete and shut it down from the task manager works.

So just remember, when you are done with keyclone exit the program through the system tray.

Some people want the information spoon fed to them. That's the bottom line. I don't know how many hours I've spent searching threads for specific issues. I think many people have had some issues with keyclone when they first start. The program does a lot, and when you're new it may be somewhat overwhelming. When you don't understand how to box, how can you understand a program that was written for multiboxing. Reading the "known" issues, the tutorials, and then the forums goes a long way to answering almost all questions. Osmosis doesn't work here. Downloading a program does not make you an expert, it will take time and effort. I feel sorry for Rob sometimes, really. And yes I understand that he charges for his time and effort, but some people expect Rolls Royce when they pay for a Smart Car.

I didn't post on this forum until I had a working (read: very crappy) multibox system up and running.

But then again, for me, I get a lot of fun in figuring out how it's done, rather then read, copy paste, and have a system without actually knowing what everything does.

People who don't enjoy some level of "geekness" and only want the result to pwn with shouldn't start multiboxing.

I've had a conversation with someone last night, well, conversation.....
I just gave up at some point and stopped replying.
I repeated the url to here at least 5 times, told the person to read the stickes here,
but the speed of which (s)he replied gave away there was no effort to find things out on their own.
Also kept asking me about additional costs other then the accounts,
so I started my story about me using keyclone and it is license based,
but other free tools are mentioned on the site "you might want to check out those".
at which the person started asking me where he could get a hacked version of kclone :s

Come ON,
you'll be spending a lot on the accounts, the keyclone license is not even worth mentioning.
Everyone is free to use a solution which fits them, offcourse,
but reverting to hacked versions when there's free solutions available ?(

Just people completely not paying attention. /shrugI'm really suprised this guy makes his way from server to server asking the same question of all the multiboxers he finds... We had this same conversation last week!

And thats the key, most people want a single push it once and be godlike multiboxing solution...
