I am dual boxing on a single computer using AHK. Everything generally worked fine from a multi-boxing standpoint with Vista. I had a problem with Vista and WoW where the system would crash erratically with the error 132 (this happened when running two WoW instances or running a single WoW instance). I tried everything on this page (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=10021053&sid=1), but none of it would resolve.
Finally, I decided to downgrade to XP, since I have never had this problem in over 3 years of playing WoW on XP. The crashing seems to have stopped (it was erratic enough that I won't know for sure for awhile, but after 2 hours without it happening, I am hopeful that it was Vista/WoW related). But I have a different almost as frustrating problem with XP. The slave character (on follow) lags behind my main character so much that they eventually stop following... It's not a problem when I'm in a specific location doing a quest, but as soon as I need to travel any distance, I am constantly having to walk for a mini-maps worth and stop to wait for the slave toon to catch up... I am getting 60 FPS, doing full screen/minimized. Is the problem that XP starves minimized processes while Vista gives them plenty of CPU? Do I need to put the slave toon in a windowed mode?
Thanks!
