I noticed that shaman lost their +10% spellpower bonus in talents according to wotlkwiki.com
I was really looking forward to that. Now we have 2.5 sec off CL.
I am hoping we get some damage buffs before release.

Not that much of a nerf imo - dps buff in encounters with more than one mob, slight nerf in single-mob encounters (although an increase in mana spent as well). Will make trash-killing faster, which is nice :-)

Its a little disheartening to play on the ptr and everyone around you is talking about how much their dps has gone up and yours is EXACTLY the same only your mana seems to be going down faster.

They are trying to fix it, in raids we do a ton of damage because there are multiple nature debuffs allowing us to do damage similar to shadow bolt spamming warlocks in TBC. They've said our damage needs work in solo and 5 man content, so hopefully we'll find a middle ground.

Maybe, Maybe not.
I've been starting to doubt a lot about transfering some of the 70's on my main account and create a mixed team with 'm.
If i'm changing it's not because of changes blizzard makes, but because of a reoccurring altitis case :p

I saw the posts that blizzard is aware that our damage is low and needs to be buffed. This is solo and small group, not raid... but basically and directly means MB'ing.
I really hope they do this and don't let it slide on a list of things they intend to do and never get around to doing. I would really rather they fix the damage before wotlk goes live.
I would really, really, really, really, extremely, really, madly rather they did away with some of the raid buffs instead of nerfing our damage way from raids.
On the bright side hunters, druids and priests are looking good.

I don't like their reasons though. It seems odd to me to include a naturedmg buff in the warlock/druid spells and then nerf the damage of the spell itself. It's like making the presence of one of those classes mandatory. Not that I mind - druid brings motw, crit-buff, combatres and CC, warlock brings healthbuff, banish, and SS.
Still, it's worth keeping in mind that even with the 10pct nerf, we get increased dps from the reduced casttime (and more MPS spent, but still).

If only the main target is debuffed, do the surrounding targets still get the increased damage?

I rolled a new shaman duo last night. I did so because I wanted to know why it's such a popular combination. I probably won't see any of the spell damage issues until I get to 70 and start doing things.

Or just 10-box :P

For Duo'ing, your much better suited with Double Caster clothies or hunters.

I see. Thanks for that. I'll spend the rest of the time getting my druid/priest from 60-70 then.
