New boxer

I'm rather new the the whole Multi boxing scene.. had a bit of a look around the site and no doubt this has been asked but i was wondering if someone could shead some light on this :) I'm currenlty starting with 2x shammies to see how it is etc.. and my problem being, that only the buttons/spells/macros that work for both toons are the ones in my defualt spell bar, but only those from 1-0 and only when i press the number via keyboard - they don't work when i use my mouse. I am able to play and all that fine, just this seems to get a bit annoying and i can see myself running out of space for macros quickly, and that leads to my next question, mods such as Trinity and other bar addons, do these allow macros to be used with mouse clicking?



My main problem is space for macro's and i can't get them to work via mouse clicks so i have to stick to numbers 1-0 on the keyboard :(



If anyone could help me out in anyway that would be much appriciated :D

What program are you using to broadcast keys?

Also, do you have everything bar 1 - 0 on the do not pass list?
Clicking will only work for your main, so if you want both chars to do stuff you must use keypresses. Make sure you don't have shift + 1-0 on do not pass, otherwise the second toon will forever be stuck on bar 1.

You can also use an addon like Bartender 3 to give you extra bars, which can then be bound to other keys.

Have you tried any other keybindings for those actionbar locations? or move a keybinding from 0-1 to another spot ion your actionbar? What about changing one from X to e.g. alt-X?

Ahh i use AutohotKey, as mentioned before i'm new to the M boxing scene so i'm still trying to get a hold of all the scrpits and what not i need to run.. Someone should really invent a 'plug n play' program ^_^,

I've read up about the DNP list, but i havne't fully comprehended the the programs etc needed to fully M box. Like as said before i can M box but it's rather simple atm. As far as binding extra bars from bartender, how do i go about doing this? i have a G15 keyboard if this helps,as i've used some of the marco keys on the board previously.

Also, when i Shift+1 etc to change my spell bars they don't change on my toon so i'm guessing as you said Jamien that they're on my DNP list :( i've also got Synergy but found it a bit hard to set up so i cbf trying to figure out how to work it :P

Remember that the software is broadcasting keypresses, not mouseclicks. So if you have lightning bolt bound onto 2 on both quickbars it will only cast on the main if you click it and cast on both if you press 2 on your keyboard.

The addons like trinity or bartender should allow you to associate more quickbar slots with keypresses, for example your first bar is 1 through =, you could set it up so your second quickbar is shift 1 through shift=, your third quickbar is alt 1 through alt =, you've tripled your sets of keystrokes that can then be broadcast. Some multiboxers are basically people with octopi for hands (or macro god) so they can press 3 modifiers and a number or letter key.

Like Jamien said, if you have shift on the do not pass, when you hit shift 1, your main will go to that second quickbar, but the shift won't be broadcast so your slaves will stay on the main quickbar.

Well i fixed my shift+# issue, so when i use a shift # to change skill bar they both change which is much better :D i think as far as i'm going it shouldn't be too bad, as there aren't many buttons needed for a ele shammy :P Lightbolt+ chain light + a shocker macro, really only using 5buttons max anyway. But as far as leveling, quest grinding would be the quickest wouldn't it? Also, i was readin that the Mag server is quite common with M boxers, is there any Pve based servers - ally pref with this sort of set up? :) or if anyone has room for a couple of shammies? :) Possibly mages
