So some of you might remember my post about 5 days ago that 1-2 of my clones would start lagging every time I logged in. It got SUPER frustration as it would be random clones each time, and they would be at 300-400ms whereas my main and other 2 clones would be at 50-80ms. It would be random clones each time, and sometimes some clones would get better and others would get worse. It would cause follow to break immediately with epic mounts.

Well I'm happy to say I figured out the issue and all 5 of my guys sit around 50ms now and practically follow right on top of my main.

Most of you are probably thinking the issue was a registry change, or maybe a video option, etc... well, I tried all of those, and they weren't the issue.

The issue was the "Omen" mod. When I started thinking about it I noticed I had installed it on my 5 wow installations about the time the lag started happening. So, I deleted the Omen folder out of my interface/addons folder on all 5 accounts, and logged in, and played all night last night, and never went above 60ms ping. Not sure WHY Omen was causing an issue, maybe having it running on 5 accounts on the same PC at the same time just generates too much packages between characters, creating Lag. Not sure. All I know is it wasn't important enough for me to want to keep it while it causes that much lag.

Just wanted to put that out there for anyone else, stay away from the Omen mod!

Thanks for the tip. I have omen but do not run it and still have this issue on occasion. Like you never the same dude and can never tell when it is going to happen. I will have to take a look at my other addons.

Omen will be obsolete when WotLK hits (maybe 3.0) with the built in threat tools. Well maybe not fully obsolete but it should be "smarter" and less resource intensive then it is now.

Now this is interesting. I use omen on all my toons and my latency is 9-35ms always. What version of omen are you using? I'll check mine tonight and report back.

I don't remember the exact version, I just grabbed the latest one from curse about a week ago - it said it was from 1 month ago if I remember correctly.

Might check yours and see if it matches. If not, I'm interested in seeing if yours is newer or older.
