Teleport or Stop time....

Alright the way this argument goes down:

Stop Time: Seems to be no limit, BUT if its like literally 1 week long, well thats too long.

Teleport: You can teleport to anywhere you can see (i.e) Jumper or anywhere you can imagine like Nightcrawler of X-men

I chose to teleport, i couldn't imagine the possibilities to grab your girlfriend and spend the afternoon in like Italy or in China and be back before night.
I also think Nightcrawler is the coolest super hero ever, i mean literally can donkey punch you in the face whenever he chooses.

I'ld probably go for teleport,
because of lazyness and my daily ability to wake up 5 minutes before I actually should be at work.

I think I'd choose teleport. I'd be far too tempted to waste my "subjective" lifetime screwing with other people's minds with Stop Time. At least with teleport, you don't die at an accelerated rate (assuming you don't go doing stupid shit like teleporting into lava, etc.).

Well, with stop time, you could live your 70 years or so on earth with all the inanimate luxuries possible. You could go into a bank and get all the money you want without anyone knowing, you could go take Gates' yacht for a spin, all this and start time back up right before you pass, or be a real jerk and leave time stopped and then die, talk about the gods getting mad at you

I say Stop Time, mainly because if there were teleports then there would be paladin (the guys from jumper not WoW) and I'd rather stop time, and walk away, then try to teleport and get my ass shocked.

When I went to see Jumper with my girlfriend she pointed out what seemed to be an inconsistency. If these people teleport EVERYWHERE, and it seemed like they did at every possible opportunity, why were they not becoming obese from all the calories they suddenly retain by not walking places?

But where your logic is unquestionable for such a small distance think about this scenario.

Teleporter person and Stop time dude are racing to italy. Maybe the stop timer dude would win but, the teleporter would be there, no sweat (or calories lol) and yet the stop timer has to swim the english channel, alantic ocean, walk and stuff.
Thats a lot of work.

I had a feeling that teleporting would win on these forums because multiboxers are lazy. Lol, we dont want to press the number 2 seven, eight, nine times to kill something. Screw that, we want to press it twice and be done with.

Does electrical current flow when time is stopped?
If a teleporter yells Hel- and then teleports and finishes saying -lo! Does one place only hear one part, does either place hear the whole word?
What about the previous situation with stop timer?

If the person that stopped time, does time cease to exist or will life flow naturally?

Would teleporting mess up the cosmos'? (ok that last one is over the top :D )

Teleporting requires physical effort which is why he was really tired from moving the apartment. That'd be my explanation.

Teleport, hands down. They did a twilight zone (or similar show) in the mid 80s were this woman found something that let her stop time. It was cool, she got stuff done. But the those evil commies nuked the US. She stopped time, but the missiles had almost hit. She was doomed to walk the earth alone. If she restarted time she would die. If you could teleport, you could just zap yourself away to a nice island or something far from all the fall out.

Does your food cook while time is stopped? That could be bad. If it does cook, would it spoil? Also bad. Would you digest it? Would you burn any calories? Could you get dehydrated? If I never had to take a crap again it wouldn't bother me, I might change my mind actually.

Oh and Jumper the movie was weak. The director is a worthless hack. The book, however, was pretty good. It was written in like 1993 or 94. The main character's mom is killed by terrorists so he uses his jumping to go after them. There were no other Jumpers and no Palaidins (WHO AOE TANKED??). Delt with interesting emotional issues related to abandonment and abuse as a child. Oh and he takes the dude responsible for killing his mom to the WTC and drops him off, saves him and repeats, a lot.

Hmm, I still take teleport. Even if I didn't have to take a crap again I enjoy good food too much. A different conteninent for each meal of the day is just too tempting.

But... how about this. If you're able to take people on the teleport, you could buddy up with real rich people (Gates, Ballmer, Slim from Mexico, etc) and offer instant teleport services. Anonymous, instant and immigration-hassle free. Imagine how much they pay for that?

Of course, if you can teleport, you really don't have to worry about people paying you. Just pop into their bank and make a withdrawal.

and if you stopped time completely, you would not be able to see... since the light particles would also be stopped. (this lends to the 'living between nanoseconds' mindset)

teleport would require small wormholes outside of normal space time. you'd create a bubble around yourself that gets sucked into the wormhole... then pop out the other side (without the bubble you'd have an issue maintaining the wormhole as you would be torn apart)
