New to duel boxing and hvaing some trouble

Well I recently bought myself a new account using the new recruit a friend system so I can make some serious 70 characters + the duel boxing. I recently just installed and registered my copy of Keyclone.

Here is where I start to get a little confused. I followed that step by step guide on how to setup Keyclone I am just having some minor problems. I have gotten past the part of actually getting box my accounts game windows open and stuff but there are few problems.

1. Both of my windows control both of the accounts instead of their being a main that controls both.

2. When I walk around in game the 2nd player follows but in different ways, they move in sync. For example: If I move my first account forward or to left or right the other account will do the same but go in a different direction instead of being exactly in sync with the main.

Besides those two problems I am ok. Also I use my mouse for almost eerything so I would also if its not to much trouble to exsaplin how to get both my palidins to to use the same attacks at the same time when I click the attack.

Hey,

The first thing you want to do is put W A S D and INS on your "Do not pass" list. That will solve a lot of issues with movement.

How would I go about doing that .....? Just simply just typing those letters?

In the settings screen there are several options, one of which is a 'do not pass' field. Read through the tutorial on Keyclone's website, it tells you how to do all that.

I dont know if thats works because I just tried it and now my 2nd characters is not moving at all. + I use my arrow keys to move.

You have to setup /follow commands. Me, I always hit "6" after every fight, which is /target party1 and /follow.

Using follow doesn't get them exactly in sync with each other. Also how would that work when I use my arrow keys to move. I need someone who can explain this better.

Well if you use your arrow keys, that kinda changes things. I'm not sure what the designations are for the arrow keys in Keyclone, but it's the same idea, they need not be passed to the other characters if you want them to /follow.

OK, but doesnt the /follow command cancel when you enter combat while following?

howdy LCD and welcome to the forums!

when multiboxing wow, you will have to use /follow to get your alts to follow you around. you will not be able to keep the characters in sync using the keyboard for numerous (fairly detailed) reasons.

suffice it to say, you will need to have /follow macros. and since movement keys will break follow, you will want to put those in the DNP list.

after stating the obvious... there is something else. when you are driving along, normal movements and auto-run work just fine. but sometimes, when you are in a fight, you might want to drive all your characters at once... to say, strafe left or spread out. as such, you will want to leave one of the two sets of movement keys OFF your DNP list. this allows your some short distance driving... but you will find yourself needing to pull them all back together again using /follow.

I have read alot about it from people that claim to me "highly experienced" and they have established a 46 box connections and what not, but I still cant seem to understand how to manage the characters once your in game?

I have 4 accounts and understand you need macros to control each character? How do I control that with oone keyboard and seperate comps?

My main goal is to use this in Arena with 4 ele shammy and a friend, so i can boost his rating and get mad points in 5v5.

I need some help if anyones got good advice, links, etc.

howdy SC and welcome to the forums!

here is the absolute basic macro set. you will need better for arena, but this is where you start:

1. create new characters on each account
2. log them in and group up
3. hit spacebar and insure they all jump (if not, stop here and fix it)
4. create an /assist macro that will assist your main character and put it in the '-' action bar slot
5. create a /follow macro that will follow your main character and put it in the '=' action bar slot
6. get on your main character, and hit '=' ... they should all be following your main
7. while on your main, click on a killable target
8. hit '-' .. all clones should now have the same target
9. fire... repeat until dead
10. loot
11. rinse and repeat

it doesn't get much more boiled down then that... without telling you where to click.

I get what you are trying to tell me. I was just wondering if you have time and is not to much trouble if you could send me some screenshots of your keyclone settings because I am still confused and how to set it up right and I dont want to be doing things wrong.

Also I am on vista and when I try to boot up the game it goes into full-screen mode and when I log into a character the game gives me a error and shuts down. You know how to fix this? This only happens when I open the game form Keyclone.

there are videos on the main site showing step by step how to setup a basic config.

also, if you are on vista, please remember to insure you run it as admin... this is not the same as being logged in as admin. you must right-click/run-as admin

you may also want to log into wow, go to the video settings, make sure 'windowed mode' is checked... then exit. this will save the setting for all your wows. then just start your wows via keyclone.

What about macro setup? I never used them until now so I need to know how to setup the basic macros needed to duel box with 2 palidins.

Iv decided I want to make a healer instead of a mage so is it possible to make a draeni Preist and dwarf preist and still duel-box or do they have to be same class race? Also How do I set up a healing macro?

yes they would be fine. you just have to walk one to the other's starting area.

for macros:

type "/macro"
a window will pop up, kinda empty. but click on NEW
pick an icon for your macro. if you pick the "?" it will show the current spell. you'll see later.
then name the macro something. i'd call it Heal.
click OK.

then there's a big empty space at the bottom half of the window for you to fill in whatever you need to fill in for the macro. since you have a leader and a follower, you'll have to do macros for both.
but before we can even do healing macros... how do you want the healing process to go? what do you want the macro to do?

Well actually I kinda figured it out. All I need to do is click on the portrait of my main or the character I need to heal and hit assisst and push my healing macro on my bar1. Also My accounts are linked so I summoned my draeni out lol.But what about rez macros?
