I'm looking to start a new account, and want to have use of another frozen account without paying the monthly fee (for 1 month).

I plan on inviting myself to play from the account I want free time on. Immediately applying the WoW and BC codes to the trial account. And then applying a 60 day play time card.

The question I have is when will the free time kick in for the account that did the inviting.

The final requirement to get the free play time is stated something like "Your friend has successfully paid for his/her first full month"

Will this requirement be fulfilled the minute I apply a 60 day time card, or will it wait until my free month (from buying WoW) is up?

There appear to be two types of invite a friend this scroll of resurrection is to get a friend with an old non-bc account to try BC for 10 days, if they pay for a month you get a month free.

There is another way to do it and that is to invite a friend to start playing the game for the first time. See "Invite-a-friend" on the main wow page.

So my question still stands. If I invite myself, open an account and use a 60 day time card on the first day, will the account I sent the invite from immediately receive 30days of free play time?

You can use the same email address.

You get credit as soon as the account is active and paid (the charge goes through). At least that is how it functioned a few months back.

I'm still confused maybe I can make a time line.

october 29th: Use an account that currently has no active subscription to invite myself to play (aka start a new account).

october 29th: accept the invitation, create a new acccount, apply a WoW key and a BC key, AND a 60 day time card key.

now here are the options

A) october 29th: The account that sent the invite now has 30 days of free play

OR

B) November 30th: My new account finishes its free initial 30 days of free play and starts using the time from the 60 day time card

November 30th: The account that sent the invite now has 30 days of free play.

The person that you recruit must finish their 10 day trial and pay for the first month before you get anything free. You should get the free month after the 10 days is up.

- send the invitation
- create account
- 10 days trial starts
- activate your account with a WoW Key
- 30 days free
- pay the first month

now you get the free month for the account the invitation came from

I'm not sure but I think the account where the invitation came from must be active and paid so that you get the free month.
