simple assist error

So finally I decided that dual boxed orc warlocks should be my final setup, which is lvl 47 right now

But from time to time I’ve got the problem that my toon don’t get the /assist or rather
It seems to be so and so my dots hit different mobs :(

Regularly my macros look like

/assist >main<
/cast >cast name<

I know that’s there the possibility to do a “death-check” in front of the assist macro but that shouldn’t be the problem because both of them are alive ;)
Maybe some1 of you had the same problem and can help me at it?

This is probably due to lag/latency.

I'm using x-perl frames, and I have it set to show me who my slaves are targeting.
I think pitbull is another frame mod that can do this. I'm sure there are others.
Then, I just have one main assist key, with no other /assist in my macros.

this is the same problem i am having, posted on another thread.

still happening, no idea how to fix it.

just remember to select your target, press assist macro everytime, then pet attack then cast your spells.

even then sometime pets are being smart arse - ran off to another mobs ;-P

I almost never ever use /assist or /target. I don't trust the timing on them. I use focus on my main then use:

/cast [target=focus-target] DPSSpell for DPS

/cast [target=focus-target-target] HealSpell for healing

That way, the spell can't go off on the wrong person. Same with pets:

/petattack [target=focus-target]

Even same with meleeing:

/startattack [target=focus-target]

just get the 2nd set of Quad to 60 last night (well 1 set of 4 shamms already 60, the 2nd got them to 59 last night)
going to have the 3rd set of Quad tonight - 4 droods or 1 drood 3 hunts hmmm
