I picked up my 5 CEs earlier this week. So today a buddy of mine wanted to head over at lunch to get his reserved. I tagged along, and the manager working said that they received a call to stop selling pre-orders on Wednesday. He put my friends name down on a list just in case they became available again. He wound up reserving the normal game (x5) since my guild will be camping out at that particular GameStop.
He mentioned that for BC the window was about 2 weeks for CEs, but for Wrath is was 3 days.
I just wanted to pass the info on in case people were debating getting their pre-orders. This could be a localized deal and may not affect other GameStops (I didn't ask). It also probably doesn't apply to other retailers (BB, Wal-Mart, etc.)
