How well does boosting in RAF work?
Really, what I'm interested in is if I use my level 70 mage to do quests with my RAF characters, will they run out of kill quests or still get decent XP from kills? It seems in the first few levels that just a quest or two will level up a RAF character.

Its awesome!
I've done it a couple of times now.
first of all you need to get level 10, then the boostin begins.
like the man said above ^^ instance after instance. once you get out of ZF level range (i stopped around 45) i headed out to the searing gorge to quest, used my 70 to help do all the quests. very fast exp.
my first time round i got to 60 in just over 19hrs, 2nd time round was a little slower :p

PS
Make sure you dont link the mage account with the new accounts as you wont be able to boost. i made that mistake and ended up buying another wow.

Within 3 days /played (4 calendar days per set), I have 8 new characters over 60. I gifted a rogue to 60 / 99% (no weapon skill lol) and will be gifting a druid to 61 / 99& as well.

As said before, boost in instances with a prot pally. Have 1-2 of your toons be a healer. Leveling a frost mage in the bunch is sweet for prot pallys since you wont have things running away as much.

kindof depends on how you're linked. I have a team I was boosting in sm, but one was directly linked to the 70 wasn't getting the raf bonus. the other were though. so I gifted a few levels and back to questing now that I'm above 30 and mounted.

Just two days ago I boosted a pair of refer-a-friend 21's up to 35th in SM: Cathedral. (Took 20 minutes per run, they obtained one full level of xp per run until 30+, then it slowed down a bit.)

At 35th I portalled them to Shattrath to hearth, then portalled them to Stonard and hit Sunken Temple. (After 1.3 runs they are now high 36th.)

About 6.5 hours total to level 15.5 times.

I have the following accounts:

Account 1 - original Veteran account of mine
Account 2 - referred Account
Account 3 - UNLINKED and contains my level 70 feral druid transferred off Account 1

1-10: Quests, easy peasy
1-15: Deadmines
15-20: Stockades (much better xp rate due to more elites)
20-40: SM Cath (you will come to loathe this place)
40-50: ZF
50-58: Scholomance

Some tips especially with a 70 feral druid:

ZF - For the most part it's quicker for me to DPS down in kitty form each mob one by one. Remember the instance can be reset so if you're running more than you're killing then you're wasting XP per hour. It depends how bored I am but as a general rule I clear in a straight line through the instance and backtrack down the tunnel to the left when the option comes. That's constant killing. I get back to the entrance in seconds and reset. At Level 45 I'm dinging every half hour, no doubt some do it quicker in AoE but I can live with that timescale.

Scholo - At 50, they're levelling up about once every 45 minutes. I can clear The Reliquary in 15 mins bang on, get out and reset. I loot as well simply because I still get a good price from the Lifestealing recipe on Bronzebeard and the cloth sells well. Good cash as well, it all adds up. What I particularly like about that room is that you can park your toons at the top of the stairs central on the balcony and once you've cleared the one armored skeleton thing that patrols that way, you can forget them, kill and just pick them up again on the way out.

First group (first ever multi-boxed) has taken a while but the second group I've boosted are at Level 47 with 18 hours /played. Note I leave my toons logged in for smokes/coffees/phone shit all the time.

Like I say, some may do it quicker but for this boosting setup, it's the fastest I've managed to nail it.

I am in the 30's now on my second team and was doing SM Cath at like 28 bad idea, I brought them into the library and they where not getting much less than they where in the Cath at least for the first part. So I ran them through SM Library a few times. I then last night went to STV I loath that place so tired of that place so I think tonight I will be going to run them through SM again until they reach at least 38-40 then move them on to ZF. I am using my Lock and he is slow compared to my Enh Shaman for some reason, I would think he be easier to use, but he only does have like 450 spell damage I guess it would make more of a difference if I had like 900-1k spell damage. While it takes me like 15-20 to clear SM cath with SHaman it took me like 30-40 minutes on the lock of course I am still picking crap up wich slows my XP per minute down a whole lot, I will time myself tonight and see how I do with out picking crap up.
