Last night, for some odd reason, I decided it would be a good idea to play around with my Maximizer settings.
My, craptop..err laptop has a resolution/screen size of 1280x800, and I run 3 of my clients on it. (2 on another laptop with the same resolution/screen size).

I setup my regions:

1 = 1280x800 full screen with 1280x800 resolution
2 = 320x200 Overlayed in the top left corner with 1280x800 resolution
3 = 320x200 Overlayed in the top right corner with 1280x800 resolution

I launched Keyclone, and the screens came up great. I used PiP to make sure they would all swap out quickly and keep the same aspect, and that was working great too.
THEN, I logged into WoW.. my full screen client logged me in, and the 2 slaves showed the progress bar go to full, then everything froze and eventually booted me out.

It got late, and I just thought of this, this morning. Is my resolution supported by WoW? 1280x800?
I'd been running everything at 800x600 with no problems, but it was wasting a lot of space.

I set up the exact same thing on my second laptop with the same results only using:
1 = 1280x800 full screen with 1280x800 resolution
2 = 320x200 Overlayed in the top left corner with 1280x800 resolution

I tried setting the maximizer resolutins to 1-to-1 but then it distorted and slowed down during PiP.

I was thinking about setting my screens to use 1280x720, but it'll be a while before I can test.

I'm open to other suggestions. I'd love to use the full screen, but if that won't work, I've done without it for a long time now anyway. :P

I'm not sure how that would change anything at all?

have you dropped your game detail level:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macro:Graphics_Settings

what do you have the maxfps and maxfpsbk set to?

are you using background sound?

i wonder if he forgot to pause it, and log into each one individually? i did that the other day both logged into same account, hence booting you out hehe

I run both laptops at lowest settings, with everything turned off that isn't needed.
I have sound turned off completely in WoW setting, on the crappier of the two laptops. :p

I've been running 5 accounts with no problems at all before I tried this, and putting it back to use a resolution of 800x600 makes it work again.
I think my maxfps and maxfpsbk are set to something like 20 and 15 for all windows.

It only seems to have a problem if I use the custom resolution feature in maximizer setting it to 1280x800 for each window.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how that would change anything at all?system can hang if you enter world on to several characters at once. i usually load up to the character selection screens in unison, but when entering the world, i would pick them one at a time. but my computer is about 3 years old. not sure about yours.

No this has never been a problem for me. The only difference is I set my resolution in maximizer to 1280x800 (custom).
I should probably go a bit further to mention, the WoW windows stopped responding all together and locked up after a few minutes.
Changing my layout back to how I had it before using the pre-set resolution of 800x600 in the dropdown list allowed me to play and log in as normal.
