Hey i thaught i would post as ive been watching this forum for a while and read many topics on different areas to leveling software etc, Im a new boxer i got my new laptop about 5 days ago, and it has the power to run 3 accounts. Im currently leveling 3 warlocks on Daggerspine EU ill keep you updated with my progress. And i hope that i can get some advice from others to anything im doing wrong, and would also hope that this post is of some use to anyone starting out.

Ive been playing wow since launch i already had a very good knowledge of the games mechanics.

problems i first ran into was on my old computer way too slow for this so if your going to try this make sure that your computer can handle running your desired amount of accounts i chose 3 simply due to the cost of keeping them active each month.
If you want to know if your computer can handle it or not make some trial accounts, they last ten days but you should know in the first 10 minutes of play if your computer can handle it.

Ok so now you know your computer will run your game, chooseing the class. here are some key factors to help you pick.
1/ previous knowledge, its going to help you make the right choice as leveling a class you have never played 2 or more times could back fire if you spend 10 days playing then deside that the class isnt what you expected.
2/ caster over melee, i felt this way purly becuase i didnt want the hassle of keeping 3 characters in melee range.

i chose warlock heres why.
1/ they all buff each other very nicely for example curse of shadows from one warlock will buff all 3's dps, also the improved life drain gives a warlock 5% more damage per affliction effect up to 60% might not sound alot but it will add up.
2/ pets can be a great asset, not kiteing etc my 3 warlocks had no problems clearing up the level 16 elites before DM at the same level with 2 voids tanking.
3/ pvp warlocks are deadly and as thats my main goal my own 3v3 team, ive never really liked depending on others in arena.

Ok next was the set up i dont know if keyclone is a frowned upon thing by the people who actually connect up 3+ computers or not but i love it, so simple to use and very effective. It will save you alot of cash, i cant say if its better than haveing 3 computers connected together or not but theres no lagg between characters.
can be brought for just $10 from:-

(best of all they take paypal)

ok so now i had my 3 accounts and everthing else i made 3 human warlocks, I went human as i feel the leveling zone is better than gnomes, and playing a sexy BE wasnt an option for me due to joining old friends on the realm.

soon as your in the game your no doubt going to be wondering where you start like i did, first thing i did from experimenting with the trial accounts was to make /follow and /assist macros on my sister warlocks put these in keys 1 and 2 and shadowbolt in 3. this let me tell my sister warlocks from the main warlock to follow her and target the same mob.

Leveling 1-10
Before you do anything else put your characters in a group and set loot on free for all sounds obvious but i forget it everytime i log in.
For leveling the first 10 levels i did all the quests in the starting area, it helps if you already knew them but if you didnt theres plenty of really good guides out there that will help you fly thru them. The gathering quests are the ones i hate more than any other at this point but they are worth doing in the starting areas, the mobs respawn pretty fast and you only need 6 shadow bolts (2 from each warlock) to kill pretty much anything.
Imp was a godsend i favoured it over voidwalker till about level 16 just use this macro tied to your shadow bolt.

/cast Shadowbolt(Rank 1)
/petattack

leveling 10-13
I went to Westfall and started doing most of the quests here theres some kill x amount quests which will help loads, but pretty much grinding any of the delfias at this level is an effective way to level they are spread out from level 12-16 in different areas of the map so you should always find somthing to kill. It got to the point where i wasnt looting the mobs becuase of the downtime involved, you should loot them but if you have a main on your realm with alot of gold dont bother just send the money over, and dont worry about the respawn times it shouldnt really effect it too badly. By this point i found the 2 keys before my shadow bolt was often leading to some problems of warlocks targeting the wrong target, so i now use this.

/assist main
/cast Shadowbolt(rank 1)
/petattack

Leveling 13-15
I had a ret paladin level 70, hes been such a god send he boosted me thru Deadmines quite a few times i pickey up tones of cash more cloth than i know what to do with it and loads of crappy greens which you can sell or vendor. Haveing a high level friend is somthing that will help you alot, even more so if they can clear Deadmines in 15-20 minutes, it took a few goes to get the distances right so i didnt aggro either from pats or what ever but we got it down, was rakeing in the xp 30-55 xp per elite kill, might sound no more than outside an instance killing normal mobs thats true, but a paladin can bring down about 30 mobs in one go any spec they just need a shield. If you dont have the option of instanceing then i would suggest grinding i did most of the quests pretty quickly in Westfall, so grinding is the best way to go, you get about 1000xp per quest done or you can kill a mob who gives you 40-50xp in a couple seconds its really up to you to make your mind up which is quicker.

leveling 15-17
My paladin friend wanted to take me to stockades now he even offered so nice of him, he spec'd prot and pretty much pulled the whole instance in one go, ran down the midle pulling out all of the cells and then went to the west wing then the east wing, then do what prot paladins do best till all were dead, the knock backs from the east wing will catch anyone with lesser gear or lower level off guard, but ive solo'd Stockades with my 50 prot paladin 4 cells at a time and clear in under 20 minutes. this is a great place to get some really really fast xp about 58 a kill and my friend was clearing the whole place in about 8 minutes (most of that time was from me looting), with 5 minute intervals for vendoring and repairs, the paladin was still getting alot of durability loss per run. we didnt reach the reset limit tho.

leveling 17-20
Went back to westfall to finnish off a couple of the last quests and did some grinding right to the south on the level 16 delfias mobs there, then went to Redridge and started to grind Gnolls for the quest to the south when i ran into my first pvp gank dam level 70 hunter troll thaught it was so funny just multi shotting my 3 locks dead. Came back later and grinded up to 20 on a few other quests in the area.

So thats me level 20 now with 3 locks going really well, i dont recomend trying this if you dont have the patience to level your characters, ive already gotten a hell of alot of help but i can already see how frustraighting this can be, its alot slower than leveling 1 character, but im sure it will pay off in the end :)

tips
dont waste money on getting better gear you find so much drops. save your gold for new skills.

ill try to keep this up to date with how i get on and ill try to keep a better track record of what quests i do what mobs i grind so i can complie a proper leveling guide.

leveling 20-22
Ive not really found any any or quick way to level 3 characters yet other than ask a friend for boosts. But heres some things that might help you, im going to do my best to stick with this approch for the time being its not exactly fun but its pretty effective.

First of all you need to know what areas are right for your levels and this will depend on the classes your playing i would think. but right now im in redridge and there is a huge level range from 16-24. I find just running about the map killing everything in my way pretty dam good fun, 2 instant dots from each warlock with 3 voids all trying to pick up that mob soon as its first dot goes on works pretty well, you only need to stop to heal your void and get health. the trick should work so that you never leave your voidwalker behind you and you always keep running, targeting mobs infront of you with an /petattack macro should always mean that your void keeps up with you.

Ive now changed my mind about collection quests they are actually alot more fun than grinding x amount of mob quest simply because it keeps you busyer longer. Your grinding mobs getting 34-48xp per kill plus about 1300 when you have handed the quest in and you will probably just be done with all 3 of your toons before you start to get bored of the area.

You really shouldnt need any guides, maybe check wowhead if you need the cords to somthing but you can tell right away what kind of quest your getting from an npc and they are always very simple to find.

your normally done pretty quickly when your selcting to do just certian quests that are grinding ones so you need to know what areas to move onto next, what im doing is go to main town accept the good quests, then just run around the map nukeing till i get to where i want to be.

in loch modan (sp?) there is a quest on the south east you cant miss it just run around the lake from the town anti clockwise you will come to a dig site very good grinding quest there. And when you feel you can handle level 20 elites travel to the noth eastern part of the map and farm ogres there they give you 80-90 xp per kill go down pretty quickly and nothing 3 voidwalkers cant manage, you shouldnt make to many mistakes as the mobs are miles apart from each other. There are also 2 obtainable quests in the town for this area given to you by a dwarf in one of the houses. they give you about 1700 xp each. I consider myself pretty lucky so far i really havent ran into many players on my realm they are all high level so no hassles with fighting people for the same mobs has been really nice.

tip- dont stop, your only down time should be vendoring, everywhere you run you should be killing everything in your wake, and i wouldnt even bother looting that much mobs drop junk. If you have cleared an area of mobs run about some more you can always come back pretty quickly im always finding nicer grinding spots just by exploring when all the mobs are gone.

im looking forward to 2.3 when levels need less xp per level from 20-60 and also quest hand ins will reward more xp. Also with the arena season 1 gear obtainable thru battlegrounds i worked out its somthing like 3.8k honor a day for 2 weeks would get you all 5 parts and from previous experience it wasnt hard getting 5-6k in a day and 10-12k on bg weekends. So this will be a really nice way to get my locks geared up for raiding.
