I much like a lot of other people have caught the dual boxing fever because of the RAF program.

So I decided to group a Mage and a Priest together for dps and survivability. I was thinking of making the priest my main and the mage as my slave

I have looked over the spells that they both have and have chosen some synergies and would like some advice to see if this would work for a spell rotation.

I would like to use these spells together:

1. Smite and Fireball

2. Mindblast and Frostbolt

3. Shadow Word: Pain and Fire Blast

4. Mind Flay and Arcane Missiles

Of course I will need to get to 20 before I can enjoy the true potential of my spell rotation but it would be something like:

Pull with Mindflay and Arcane Missiles

Then SWP and Fireblast

Then Mindblast and Frostbolt

Finally Smite and Fireball

If the mob is still standing I would wand them to death at this point

I would like to get some advice to see if this would work or if I need to pursue a different setup

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Priest & mage grouping together is awesome for AOE.

id spec the mage frost, take a aoe build and priest holy.

priest stands back & keeps shield and renew up.

I'd pull with mindblast instead of mindflay... i would think you would want the aggro on the priest more than the mage.
then i'd hit something like SWP and Frostnova depending on how close the mob is.
if mob is already ontop of you use SWP with Fireblast
and then finish with Mindflay and arcane missles.

Just know that if you are relying heavily on Arcane missles for dps you are going to drink alot. Its a huge mana hog.

If it were me playing this is what i would do.

Mindblast / Frostbolt
SWP / Fireblast
Mindflay / Arcane missles
wand to death if any health is left.

I wouldn't be putting SWP and Fireblast on the same cast, as Fireblast comes in handy for a quick finish and you don't want the priest to be wasting that much mana on a dot that never ticks
