The Warhammer launch last night was great in my experience.
Only a 200MB patch on retail and it was a go. I have to say the RvR was fun even for a lvl 2 Zealot. At least my heals could help keep lvl 10 tanks alive while moshing in the fray.
Warhammer is my WoW killer; no more multiboxing for me (not that you can't do it I just don want to).

lol at least you got off of 1 drug, but you might have went to something worse.
I don't think that warhammer will ever be for me, i'm not too much into pvp and with an end game focused in pvp i don't think i will like it too much. But like they say to each his own (or something like that)

Look at the scoreboard of Black Orcs (pure melee) and you might see one with 0 deaths and over 10k in heals.
As far as smooth, the Head Start was a wise decision to make the CE/SE beta testers play in live servers so they had time to iron out issues before launch.

I urge you to try Warhammer, I hated PvP with a burning passion in SWG and WoW but I love it in Warhammer.
I need help an intervention or something no game affected me like this before.
Funny thing is I didn't even pre-order Warhammer cause I thought I would hate it then after trying the open beta from Fileplanet I couldn't stop myself from buying the CE on eBay for $299 I couldn't stand to miss the headstart.

Google Internet Addiction. Then call your doctor for referral to treatment. Or go to Vegas without the puter.

My whole life, I'm 47, I have had addiction problems online gaming is the most healthful addiction I have had. Over the years I have been addicted to work, sex, drugs, alcohol, gambling and I have given them all up for online games.

Even when I did get my HoT and ran another RvR i was working with Chaos melee tanks and only saw one Black Orc. For the most part I spammed my insta-cast direct heal in these matches to try to out heal the damage.

I'm glad to see some postive things about the game. I don't plan to leave wow yet, but it would be nice to finally have an option there if I want too.

haha, want him to live in a monestary? How do you get away from all that? You can avoid some, but not all.
But yeah, staying away from the nastiest ones is a good call, and just try to keep the others in moderation.

Exactly. So many needless flame wars over WAR vs WoW.
They target totally different markets and there is absolutely no reason they can't coexist peacefully.
But I did find it funny that Blizzard announced WotLK release date and released 3.02 PTR during WAR launch week :p

I can understand being addicted to drugs, gambling and a whole bunch of other things, but since I live in my mom's basement and have yet to meet a girl, how is it possible to be addicted to sex and video games? ?(
That's just crazy talk. :)
I agree with you guys. There is more than enough players and money to go around for both games to reach the upper echelon of MMO's, if WAR is up to the challenge, that is. As far as Blizzard releasing 3.02 PTR during WAR launch week....well, that's just doing whatever to protect their cash cow from "them foo's that is trying ta creep inta they bizness g."
Blizzard's not worried about too many people leaving for WAR. They know they'll ultimately win a "WAR" of attrition with any MMO that show's up for the next few years.

To clarify my quoted comment; with my limited play time I really only have time for one game so my new passion is the killer of my old passion but it really has nothing to do with the whole War vs WoW. If Funcom improves Anarchy Online, my old fav, I might be tempted to go back and then AO, as old as it is, would be my Warhammer killer.
It's just coincidence.

I'm playing WAR, have a lvl 9 witch hunter, it is a good game, has a few things that I hope WOW implements that would really improve WOW, especially the public quests. I will play WAR while waiting on WOTLK, even though I have beta access, and will still play WOW during this time too. The game controls are very similar, but I def feel that WOW is a better overall game. I just don't see myself playing this game in 4 years like I've been on WOW, and actually look forward to a few more years of WOW. WAR is a nice different flavor to try.
