Grounding totem?

Just hitted level for my Air totems, and trying to get my Grounding totem working. But only 1 char doing it when i press the key for it, all other is binded to the same.. Do i need a macro for it? :S someone told me just to drag the Grounding totem down to the hotbars, but its not working!

The keybind you use for it, is it working with something else? Maybe your keybinds are not properly set, or an addon is messing them up.

Begging for help, i am moving to STV and might need it for gankers there! should be cool if someone can help me out!

The problem is that it actually is used for something else and your wow is confused - probably because you're using a mod like ctmod that gives you extra action bars. Do this...if your grounding totem is shift+h, hit escape on each character, then go to "key bindings", find an unused binding, click on it, then hit shift+h. Then click on it again and hit "unbind key".

Now, go rebind shift+h to that action bar however you did it the first time, and it will probably work now. ctmod especially is notorious for not unbinding keys properly when you set new keys up.

This may sound like a simplistic question, but are you clicking the icon on your taskbar on your main or pressing the corresponding key on the keyboard?

Because Keyclone and the like only broadcasts keystrokes, not the click on the bar. hit "7" on your keyboard rather than click that spot on the screen.

One possible cause anyway.

But its not working with shift + h or shift + b. just with the numbers like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9. Anyway thanks! anyone got anyother ideas?

What hardware and/or software setup are you using, Eyeshot? Perhaps you have blacklisted they key you've bound the totem to?

Keyclone doesn't pass modifiers well. The fix I have used for this is hotstrings.

Setup a keyMap file so you press Shift-H and it sends SHIFTH, add that keymap file to the commands on each client and it should work.

I have yet to encounter a problem with using modifiers in my macros. I have my mount/Ghost Wolf on 1 button with Ghost Wolf being a shift mod. I have all my important totems together, 1 action bar button per element, using shift and ctrl mods. My healing macro has both shift and ctrl mods.

It will pass modifiers okay as long as you're not a fast typist, hold the modifier down, press the key, release the key, release the modifier.

Try opening chat and making all the toons say something, where some of the letters are capitalized and type it fast. You'll see.

Yea, I've experience this before... Trying to get both my toons to do the same emote, or say the same thing, and having the slave's not come out quite right...
