Edit: I know I have another "new multibokser" thread, however it is old and outdated, now I'm starting up agein and feel it's the right to write this way anyways =)

Hi to all around here =) I've been browsing these forums for months, and it's realy inspiering =) around late may this year I had some fun with trail accounts, and actually managed to 5 box realativly "ok" with my 4 year old dell computer x) for some reason I stopped wow a bit after, but now I'm about to start up agein with a friend =)

This is what I've got;
a desktop (the 4 year old dell which works whonder) with dual screens
a shitty laptop, but it can run wow without much trouble
I got one account I have used in my two years of wowing, and got 2 alt accounts with just "normal" wow.

I want to tri box, as I don't feel I want to spend the money needed to 5 box. yet. and it sounds fun anough =)

My plan;
I have installed and made a script for hotkeynet, and I have good feelings about it.
Going to run 2 chars on desktop, one on each screen, and the 3rd on laptop.

However, I got a small problem. How can I easly get to have one wow in each screen on the desktop? I've been looking around the forums what I think is alot, and I only find 2 ways. One is the WoWmaximizer "addon", the other is keyclone. No offence, keyclone looks awasome, but I don't want to spend money on it before I know how I feel about multiboxing more seriously. I did use wowmax thingy when I played around with trails earlyer, however I don't realy like it that much, also it is bugged (windows expand sliglty when finished loading loggon window, which makes them overlap etc, not that important realy). So is it anyone that can help me with how to set up windows?

Also I would like some tips, on which charecters to move over to the alt accounts to play with (list follows), as I'm currently abit unsure what will be the most fun.

Charecters:
70 druid
70 hunter
54 paladin
47 shaman
42 mage
and some more lower lvls.
I thought about taking druid hunter and shaman group, think shaman totems will benefit more then the pally will.
or to have more fun lvling, pala shaman and mage, where pala tank and shaman elemental, healing when needed. or something like that.

Those 5 I've planned to 5 box with laters, I feel it will work well all together, and 5 different classes=more challange, which for me is a good thing =) and thus I will only move 1 char to each of the 2 alt accs, so if/when I decide to 5 box I whon't have to pay for another transfer (also the cooldown on it)

My computer specs, as far as I know them:
Windows XP (on both)
desktop:
pentium 4 3.2 GHz cpu (yes, singel core)
3 Gb ram
256gb Nvidia 7300 GS
2 monitors, running 1280x1024 res on each (hor span when boxing)

About all I know. As I mentioned earlyer, I DID succesfully play 5 chars on that one computer, from lvl 1 to mid10ish before I got bored grinding moobs so overpowered I felt. sure, fps between 1 and 10 on the best on alts, but so what? I don't have to see them run smooothly or anything as long as they fire when I tell them to, which the did =) atleast most of the time.

the laptop is the cheapest comp I could buy one year ago, unsure about spec, but runs wow just fine, and I'm only gonna play 1 char there anyways.

I have thought about reqruiting 2 new accounts to get the RAF bonus stuff, but the way I'm gonna play with the 3box, I whon't lvl that much, so I don't feel the ekstra expenses is worth it at this time. Might change my opinion and get 4 brand new later when I have more money =)

That about all I remember to write atm. Also it's rather long now, so before I make it anymore I'll just stop here =) if it's anything of info I've missed out, yell out and I'll give it out =) not acc info ofc, but about anything else :p

Thank you for reading my wall of text =)

Hi, my name is Sasha and I Multi-instance (playing 2 accounts on the same machine).
(Sasha and Sandra) (2 Hunters at level 70 - one used to be a friends)

I would just like to say that HUNTERS are not ideal for most situations. Our deadzone (bug) was removed but theres no way you can maintain high DPS without a crazy amount of positioning involved... Its nearly impossible to KITE on a slave. (Although a well timed jump can turn your slave around for some arcane shots - it requires negative range on your main to do... which is bad) Your only chance with a hunter is keeping the enemy at bay, stunned, or imobile and this is near impossible in most PvP situations.

In PvE it would be far easier to use a hunter though. Our shot rotations can be fairly scripted into your general lineup easily.
However then you must factor in pet control. In Wotlk blizzard is making pet control more active then currently, and will require aditional micromanagement.

If your PvPing-
A Mage, a warlock, a shamen anything would be better. Think about it in terms of traps too. The slave may not drop traps exactly where you want them to, you cannot flare or volley on your slave either... limiting their usefulness. Its a pretty big challenge to incorporate them into a PvP setting.

I use keyclone. I said to hell with it and paid the 20 bucks and IT WAS SO WORTH IT.
Maximizer is fun to use, and works well. It enables me to switch between my hunters. I have actually managed to do fairly well with the duo. The trick though is both are independant yet tied in macros. I can use Shift + { or Shift + } to switch between the two characters in a flash. Which enables me to quickly regain control in tense situations. The PiP (picture in picture is also amazing since I dont have to buy additional monitors to run my setup.

In your case, you would need to buy a Keyclone liscence for each of your 3 computers. (roughly 60 bucks total.) Since you have 3 monitors I dont think you require the PiP feature. You have alot of screens and you can see whats going on. Not like mine where Sandra is minimized. I am not sure if Keyclone is for you. See what the other options can give you instead. Check out 4-5 multiboxers. I think they use different applications.

I keep seeing Keyclone used by Mutli-instancers (people running 2 or more wows on the same machine) You are mutli-boxing (using 3 different computers)
I am fairly certain there is a better option for you then using Keyclone. (It just might cost more though)

U can run all 5 accounts under 1 machine. Just have to get one copy of keyclone. You're paying 75 bucks a month for 5 accounts. Another once-off $20 for hassle-free multiboxing is definitely worth the investment.

@ Sasha_Sandra
thanks for the tips about the hunters. My main focus will probably be pve, but will take it into consideration for my 3 boxing team in the start =)

Keyclone seems veary nice, seems I'll buy it atleast when I start up 5 boxing, howeverI want to try out 3 first, both to be sure I don't waste my money, but also becous atm I can't afford all the expenses at once, tho in not too long I shoud get my payment for some work in the summer, and then I'll probably just go nuts x)

Ye, good point. As above, think I will buy it as I start my 5 boxing =) will make it so much easyer to set up everything, specially since I'll play 5 diff classes. And to support the great work behind it =) as you said, 75 a month already, the extra 20 will be a good investment I presume =)

Edit (instead of bumping) I've read around about limiting FPS, however I can't seems to find how to do it. Anyone can tell me? Is it a function in Keyclone, or something else?
