OK it has been just 1 week and im already itching to get bakc to dualboxing (i know the addiction)

Anyway with 2 more months of RAF still I was thinking of getting a pally tank in the squad especially since boxing x5 shamans in wolk seems to be a game over issue now. Setup to be

prot
resto
Ele (3)

This should be good enough for instances I take it?

Cheers

This is exactly the set up I have. However, using RAF I thought using 5 shammys just to level would be quicker. It was and all the pally gear I would have collected would have been out of date as soon as entered Outland. Raffed a pally up to 59 and re specced a shaman to resto. Currently level 63. The tanking abilities of the pally in 5 mans is outstanding, after playing a solo warrior tank for ages I feel a little cheated at how good the pally is.

Resto is great because you have a dedicated healer with extra little touches. Completed Ramparts with no aggro issues at all. I missed the dragon out though because I hate that boss (I know the tactic but atm cant work it).

Its actually quite hard for your pally to lose aggro tbh. The set up of pally, resto and 3 elementals looks like a thing of greatness atm. The pally actually does a fair amount of damage too in instances. I linked all the heals on my resto (3) to lightning bolt on my eles and its working great so far.

I would highly reccomend the set up. It also saves a great deal on repair bills. I finished ramps with an 80s repair bill on the pally and no more than 20s on all the shamans. Theres instances where I see the complete benefit of a dedicated tank and healer but none at all where it would be beaten by a 5 shammy set up tbh.
