View Full Version : Character on follow lagging behind.

I read this is a problem that has to do from where I'm running WoW. My hard drive is split into 2, and each part run 1 copy of WoW for me.
But when 1 toon is on follow, he tends to fall behind as it runs.
Combat latency is non existent from what I see.

Check the actual connection latency on that green bar by your backpack. I've noticed that < 150 everything is fine with follow, but once it goes up higher than that it can get sketchy, and >200 means I'm going to lose follow on my follower if we're mounted and I don't slow down occasionally.

Combat latency is non existent from what I see.I don't believe having a single drive partitioned each running a instance of wow would increase the speed, the drive still reads @ the same speed, just from different partitions. Try setting your maxfps lower and see if that helps. I get lag in cities unless I lower maxfps. (/console maxfps X) Where X is fps you want to max that instance at.
Follow by normal behavior exhibits some amount of well... following behind. Is that what you are seeing or is it one character who lags vs the other 2 or 3 that do not lag as much?
