I started my first ever 5-man team this weekend (many thanks to all the handy posts on dual-boxing.com that have got me started!).

Although something of a cliche, I chose 5 shamans to start with, because it's a class I've never tried, and because I figured that 5 of the same class would be easiest to get started with.

I decided to use the focusless/leaderless (but not targetless) system which involved just one group of key remaps and one macro (again for simplicity) and it works like a charm; allowing me to swap leader whenever I like even makes collection quests almost bearable!

So far the response on Stormrage (Europe) has been pretty positive; mainly "wow!" or "lol!" from passers-by. One person told me to "get a life", but in a non-aggressive way. I pointed out I was probably spending just as much time as him playing WoW so perhaps I'm not the only one who should get a life. :)

I also bumped into another 5-boxer in Westfall (hi to Alvalda, if you're reading this!), which is the first I've seen on Stormrage.

The main things I've noticed are:
- 5-boxing is fun!
- it seems to be fairly quick levelling. I started Saturday morning and now I'm 25.5.
- quick levelling means no cash - I started each toon with 10g, and they ran out at 24 (although a chunk of that was spent buying wool for one of the donation quests)
- quick levelling also makes it hard to keep gathering professions levelled at the same rate.
- instances are tricky - at 19 I had a venture into the Deadmines, but got my arse kicked by the 1st ogre boss.
- did I say it's fun?

I still need to figure out how to spread my team out using the focusless/leaderless system. There was a post about it in the FTL thread, but the suggestion there didn't suit my setup, and I gave up trying to figure it out after an hour or 2 of headscratching. I'll come back to it later - levelling is more fun!
