View Full Version : Kicked from Warhammer guild for multiboxing

I wasn't actually multiboxing, but I let everyone know I had multiboxed WoW previously. This was a guild on the open beta, and I actually got this after I had decided Warhammer wasn't for me. I'm back to WoW now, with my team.

This was precipitated by an argument on their guild forums over addons. The other person was spouting out angry words about addons, and how they ruined WoW, and how they were an unfair advantage in PVP and automated the game for you. There was also a lot of "u" and "r" and generally terrible grammar and punctuation, hence the last sentence. I decided to take him to task with my point of view, with admittedly some portion of taunting. I asked if a guild had forced him to install Omen, and if he thought it was unfair that they expect him to do so in order to save themselves from needless wipes and wastes of time. I also asked how he know that players in PVP beat him because they had an addon and not because they were simply better at playing their class than he was at playing his...

Not that I was planning to make Warhammer my home, but if I was I'm glad this came out early instead of on down the line. It sounds like some multiboxer (or multiboxers) shit in his cereal sometime in the past, and now he has his chance to get his vengeance. What a cool guy  To all you people working on multiboxing Warhammer.... kick some ASS for me!

I'm getting a real sense of "No one is as good as me" coming from you. The fact you multibox wow is a testament to this. (Perhaps no one plays as good as you, eh?) Treating guildmates IE <name removed> with disrespect on guild boards is unacceptable. In general, haughtiness and a needlessly bloated sense of self are the reasons for your ban. I hope the fact that I did not use parallel structure in my previous sentence fails to qualify my opinions as important to you. Goodluck in live release.

BEDEVERE: What makes you think she is a witch?
VILLAGER #3: Well, she turned me into a newt.
BEDEVERE: A newt?
VILLAGER #3: I got better.
VILLAGER #2: Burn her anyway!
VILLAGER #1: Burn!
CROWD: Burn her! Burn! Burn her!...
BEDEVERE: Quiet! Quiet! Quiet! Quiet! There are ways of telling whether
she is a witch.
VILLAGER #1: Are there?
VILLAGER #2: Ah?
VILLAGER #1: What are they?
CROWD: Tell us! Tell us!...
BEDEVERE: Tell me, what do you do with witches?
VILLAGER #2: Burn!
VILLAGER #1: Burn!
CROWD: Burn! Burn them up! Burn!...
BEDEVERE: And what do you burn apart from witches?
VILLAGER #1: More witches!
VILLAGER #3: Shh!
VILLAGER #2: Wood!

I 2-Box in Warhammer Beta and my guild don't mind.

The only time it matters is when we have 6 different people wanting to do scenarios because you can't join as warband, only as group.

For RvR, I'm fine to go with however many I can handle.

We're going Skull Throne, Order side.

PvP'ers in WoW already give me a headache... now an MMO with even more PvP angst and inflated egos? whooptie doo i gotta give that one a try huh

i must admit, however, that i am a small man who enjoys using FAR superior firepower
(that sounded sarcastic, but no, really, i do enjoy overwhelming power)

You will never win against somebody who isn't happy with their life or their ingame life. They will blame anything and everything to prove how much they suck. Best to avoid these people, they take their gaming seriously, while most sees it as a game and nothing more. You have a better chance of winning a argument against a wall then against these people.

Well, I'm not going to lie, I take my gaming seriously as well, but in a different way from him it looks like. I like to do the best that I can when I play. I come prepared to raids with consumables, I make sure I have up-to-date and appropriate addons, and I know strategies for raids and the best way to use my class skills in PVP to win. If I were to play Warhammer, I would do the same, and I would hope to find a guild filled with people who behave similarly. I also expect to be called out if I do something stupid. I once got called out while playing a rogue when I mentioned I didn't have kidney shot on my bars because I didn't find it useful. I took a good tongue-lashing and felt pretty embarrassed and outraged, but forced it back into my action bars and keybindings, and I'm glad I did in the long run.

I also don't suffer fools in forum posts. Maybe it's cause I'm American (Sorry to bring nationality into the equation), but I don't post on many forums because I want to be tactful and not hurt feelings. :cursing:

I started an Ironbreaker (main) and Rune Priest (2nd) this morning and got to Rank 2 before I went to work.
I work 6 am to 6 pm on Tuesdays, so I can only get 4 hours gaming tonight.

No lag or queue this morning. Order (high) Destruction (full) -- Skull Throne.

My guild if PvP centric, but we also do some PvE for variety. We're small and don't recruit just anyone.
Come hang out with me -- I have extra macro space to target heal others still :P

Hehe my head start starts today, I might log on and see if things have improved since the beta. I was really underwhelmed by the beta, but I'm willing to give it a good amount of tries to see if improvements have been made. (Hopefully my box makes it to me, thought I'd have it by now) Are you Sanctume ingame?

That quote you included makes it seem like you were kicked for being a disrespectful elitist, not for being a multiboxer.

Treating guildmates IE <name removed> with disrespect on guild boards is unacceptable.

So you are rationalizing this so it makes them look bad, or they were just looking for an excuse to kick you. In any case I don't know you so I can't be sure what you are like, but I have been the GM of a guild and I know things like this are rarely so simple.

I played Warhammer beta as well and I was underwhelmed. It was a good game but I couldnt stop thinking about WoW when I was playing it.

Skull Throne might say (full) but I think that means there's a queue to log into the server. It's full because it's one of the CE servers, but we're hoping then release comes--many will move out to new servers as people tend to want to level with guildies/friends.

For now, we're staying. I've heard reports from 4 CE players that Skull Throne has been stable (no crashes). There were an initial 30 minute queue during the CE rush, but now the queue is less than 5 minutes if there is one.

I play weeknights PST, 7-9pm, some early, some later, and more on weekends.

Sorry man, waited through a 45 minute queue, then the mouse cursor disappeared so I couldn't click "Play". Had to force the process closed, and start back up.... 38 minute queue. I decided to go back to WoW, where I can actually play the game. I might try again tomorrow if the queue's gone, but my underwhelm-ation is continuing with it's downward spiral. So much for head start.

I started in a 30 min queue, and 7 mins left after 20 minutes.

Skull Throne is 1 of the 4 max cap server. Im sure it will dwindle down to normal when Friday comes.

Actualyl 10 pm PST is the offical start Wed, tomorrow night.

When they are tactful they don't post at all, which might be why you haven't noticed.
