Ok, I'm trying to run two copies of World of Warcraft on one machine. Yes, my machine will do this just fine.

Now, I'm currently using Keyclone (licsensed) but it only maps keyboard input, no mouse. The closest I have seen to mouse input, is macros setup before hand. I don't want macros. I want the mouse clicks to be input to both windows. I tried using Synergy. I followed the walkthrough on the author's webpage. He has steps listed there that aren't in the software, hence it didn't work.

What I'm looking for, is software the duplicate every keystroke & mouse input into both windows. Keyclone comes close, with the 2nd window's character set to 'follow' but this toon lags behind the other. When I cast spells, the 2nd toon will be out of range for the first cast and will cast his spell when the 1st toon is casting his 2nd.

EDIT: quest accepting is one of the biggest things I want to do with mouse inputs. Having to tab windows to accept & complete quests really slows me down. Item looting as well. I know the 2nd toon will get 'item in use' message but I dont mind clicking twice, as long as I'm not forced to keep switching screens. (whats the point if I have to do that.)

Can anyone suggest software that does this & where I might look to find it? Almost everything I've seen talks about more than one piece of hardware, not two windows on one machine.

I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate, running every update as of last night (Sep 12, 08).

clicking the quest giver for only 2 wows is 'really' slowing you down? seriously? how slow do you click?

you wouldn't want to see what it takes to 10-box (or 26-box)

but if this is just crushing you to the point of stopping game play........

then, as has been mentioned numerous times, go to keyclone/setup/general and set the 'pass mouse click' hotkey

hitting that hotkey will toggle mouse-click-passing on and off. while on, if you click, a click will be pushed to the same (relative) spot on all other windows. just remember to toggle it off when you are done

Thanks for the info. I ask because none of the options in Keyclone have tooltips & current documentation seems hard to find.

And yes, this does slow me down. I horde my quests, completing as many as I can then turning them all in. If I have to complete them all on one toon, then switch to another window & do the same there, it does slow me down. If I can just complete them all at once, & have the same happen in the other window simultaneously, thats what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your input, I'll give that a shot.

as an fyi.... if you horde your quests too much, you could end up getting lower xp by gaining too much in the levels as you kill your way through... especially since the new RAF changes (i find myself dropping tons of grey quests that were yellow when i picked them up)

I don't know how you find it so hard to learn to hit keybound macros as opposed to clicking... but to each their own I guess.

I took a pair of Draenei Shaman up to level 60 in about 2 days 7 hours /played time, Rob's Keyclone is absolutely awesome! Paired with the Multiboxer V2 addon, all I have to do is open the quest givers chat window on both windows, then click through the options on my main, and my slave selects the same options and rewards. And playing in windowed mode with Keyclones Maximizer makes it easy to switch from my main window to the other.

I play with a Merc Gaming Keyboard with a custom WoW key setup...

So it's kinda hard for me to alt+tab to my other window.

In the end, I am having an absolute blast with my 2 girls. Best of luck to you Kc7vwc.
