View Full Version : Need help - Autoshoot with wands broken

I'm using the target-less strategy (slaves only target master) and for some reason my 4 slave locks wand shooting has broken. I've made a lot of changes recently, and I can't figure out how I broke it (or was it patch?). What happens is the slaves shoot once and only once with their wands. I want them to engage with autoshooting until I stop it.
This is the macro on their shoot -
/cast [harm] [target=targettarget, harm] shoot
I've got Autoattack/Autoshoot enabled in the interface/combat options. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
Thanks for assist

I figured out a work around, but not really happy with it. I changed the shoot macro to throw an /assist first.
/assist
/cast shoot
However, this requires that I hit my follow button (to re-aquire master as target) before every new target. I hate it, one extra keystroke for each fight.
Any suggestions on this? I realize what changed - before, I had a separate button for follow, and one for assist, but I've dumped the assist because I hate hitting it every time in between fights. But now I see that autoshoot doesn't continue for somereason without the assist.
Thanks

You can do a /cast !shoot but it has caveats. ('http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Adual-boxing.com+%21shoot')

/cast !shoot doesn't seem to work.

#showtooltip Shoot
#show Shoot
/cast [target=targettarget] Shoot

All you need, unless it's a multifunciton macro.

Thanks Griznah but nope, still same behavior with that script.
They fire once and only once.
I've discovered the same problem now with Drain Soul. They begin drain soul for .5 second and then stop. The only way I can make either work is doing an assist first to give them the target -- but that screws up everything and completely negates the 'targetless' strategy, and adds an extra keystroke in between each fight.
Thanks for more ideas, I hope I'm doing something wrong, or its a config thing in the blizz client.

I had the same problem.... fire once and stop. Then, I noticed that if the caster had the target actually targeted, it would auto-shoot... so I adjusted my macro to actually target the mob I wanted to wand.
**edited to add**
I only dual box and I group the same every time, so my macro is fairly simple... here it is:
/target party1target
/cast Shoot

/target [target=party1]
/cast Shoot
This is what I've used in the past and it assumes the party leader is your control character.
Note To Mod: This post should be moved to the macros forum :)
