I have just had a more thorough read of this than normal and they are expressly forbidding any use of several computers or game platforms to play the game concurrently.

You shall not access the System or play the game concurrently on different computers and/or game platforms.Above is a direct quote and would seem to prohibit any use of at least hardware multiboxing. And it would seem like game platforms is taken to mean several copies of the game running on the same computer also. Too bad for anyone looking forward to multiboxing this.

Hopefully they only mean with the same account. Might want to question them about it.

Bad news, but I'm going to solo box it for a bit anyway. Looks like fun.

Isn't that PER EULA agreement? Don't you agree to it twice when you dual box?

Although i understand why WAR would want to limit multi-boxing.. its not a very smart business decision, UNLESS it can be proved that MBs would drive more customers away then it will bring. I think people who at least two box will always two box. no mater what MMO they play. Making it illegal is just dumb, business wise.

You wonder if some of mythic are part of the WoW MB Haters club, hehe

The wording in itself is very similar to that on the DAoC EUALA which is visble here

http://support.darkageofcamelot.com/kb/article.php?id=072

section 2.D.

So I may have jumped the gun a little bit. However, to me it still seems as a the person who is signing the EUALA is agreeing not to be connected to the System(servers) on more than one computers concurrently. The account he is using or accounts doesn't matter. If the player has several connections to the System he is breaking the EUALA. However, I am not a legal mind and this is only my interpretation. So anyone who has info from Mythic themselves or is more legal savvy please correct me if I'm wrong.

What xzin said doesn't make sense to me. If the person is agreeing to only have a single connection to the servers at a time, if he signs another agreement where he also agrees to have only a single connection at a time makes him actually legally able to open two connections? One per EUALA as you'd imply.

Edit: ok now that I think about it. It may also mean the account with the system. Not the servers. But this is very bad and misleading wording over here. Player agrees not to login his account on more than one computer at a time, and that kind of makes sense. So please just ignore me and find someone who actually knows what's going on with that EUALA to find the answer for this.

IMO, the best way to translate a EULA into normal language is to just ping the persons responsible for writing, maintaining, and enforcing it and see what they have to say.

was going to say "EA, the only winning move is not to play" but i guess this is carried over from DAoC

I could care less. I will never play that game anyway. WOW forever!! I don't think I could ever just play one toon, boxing has spoiled me;-)

I would guess the intent is "you shall not play the same ACCOUNT per ..." so people don't share accounts, try to login at the same with the same account, etc, etc but yeah, as its worded there, multiboxing is prohibited. They need to fix that up, lol

I am ok now, Thank You!! Was still wondering if that line in the ToA means no two boxing or not though. I plan on playing an Ironbreaker and Runepriest combo unless its not legal with you guys.

this line> "You shall not access the System or play the game concurrently on different computers and/or game platforms. ' ?

Hm I think we had a line like that in DAOC too but never actioned people for buffbots that I'm aware.

This is really more of a game support question though, so I have no idea what the real answer is. I would imagine (speaking as a person here, not employee) that we would not be trying to go after people playing on multiple accounts at the same time - that's kind of a standard in the industry now. Although I DO know we'll have the usual cross-realming policies so if you were playing order and destruction on the same server at the same time that would be something you could get in trouble for.

The above info was a PM from someone at mythic when i had issues with CE stuff.. after fixing the problem, the Mythic guy answered my two boxing question based on this OPs question. I will send a note to game support as well. But i played DAoC for years and had 4 acnts..never had an issue.

So basically they just cut and paste a EULA / TOS from an older game?

Seriously? And you people are paying to play this?I really DO hope they will copy/paste more from DAoC, expecially the very good RvR system ...
we will see .... don`t have beta key to test :(
