I have been 5boxing for awhile - Main char on 1 comp, 4alts on 2nd comp (with keyclone) using a wireless KB and 2 receivers - no issues.

I have been exploring running all 5 on what is now my 2nd comp (a custom build that I put together awhile back) - and here is where I am starting to have problems. I can run 3 wow's at 60fps (fps no matter what exceeds 60fps even with one wow running), but with 4 or 5, the FPS drops to 23 (just out and about in the world). Comp specs: Core2Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz, 4GB Ram, 32-bit Vista, GeForce 512MB 8800GT video card

So I became curious, for those running 5wow's on 1 comp, what FPS do you get on the "main"?

My 4 slaves are capped at 15 FPS each, my main is capped at 30 FPS. I get 30 FPS on my main almost anywhere in the world, when I remove the cap, it goes to anywhere between 30 and 45 FPS. In cities it's a whole different game though, in Shattrah I get around 12 FPS on the main if I'm lucky.

Running on a AMD 64 3600+ X2 (that's a 2.0 gHz dualcore), 3.5GB ram and a Geforce 9800GT.

my 4 slaves are capped at 5 each(i could go higher i just dont see it as necessary) but my main is capped at 40 and gets 40 always, and though i havent been able to take them to shat yet in org i have no performance drop to speak of.i have my main at max visual settings and my alts at low settings again just because i dont see a need to raise them up. im running an intel quad core cpu with 8 gigs of ram, a 8800gt vid card and a single hp 22" monitor. also ive noticed a bug in the keyclone/maximizer package that leaves recently swapped windows at the max fps and have had 3 windows running at 40 fps at the same time due to that and saw no lag or stuttering. im running vista64 and did the tcpnodelay ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3973') registry edit and frequently have a ping of 45ms or lower on all clients down from 250ms+ pre mod. thought id put my two cents in.

my 4 clones on 24" split 4-way equally w/ 16x10 res are capped to 20FPS. my main on 22" full window size w/ 16x10 res gets about ave. 40FPS (depending on population).
q6600 OC to 2.9Ghz, raid0 on 3 hdds, 8GB RAM, vista x64, gtx280. Vert sync enabled on wow instances.

Rig: E8400 @ 3,6GHz (Dual Core), 8gig ram, 512MB 8800GT, Vista64bit, WDC Raptor 150GB + Samsung F1 750GB
60+ FPS on main, running 1920x1200, all settings maxed (24" wide) (have seen 80+ in Azeroth). I even get over 50fps in Org while not looking at the bonfires.
Slaves are FPS capped at 20 or so, with maxfpsbk, 800x600, all settings minimum, 20,1" 4:3, 4 slaves btw.

I have 4 toons (not 5) running on my second machine( Core2 Quad Q9400, ATI 4850, Vista64, 6G Ram, 5x 75G Raptor HDD (with symlinking galore no RAID) on a Benq 24" LCD) Only tweaking I did was the "lowerping" registry settings (done manually).
4 sessions, in 960*600. default video settings (didn't change them because well it just worked) and it sits at 59/60. I can't say I have ever noticed it drop below 55. Sadly they zone faster then my "main" machine an E6850 with 8800gtx.

I think most of us cap the FPS for the clones when they are not focused, all 5 my sessions are capped to 15 fps when not focused, my main to 60 fps when active and the clones to 30 fps when active. I think my FPS is maxxed out at 60 on the main most of the time, usually in the 50s. Honestly, I don't have fps displayed on my bar so seldom look at it.

Running on a quad Q6600 with 8GB RAM, Vista 64 and 640MB 8800GTX I think.

4x slaves running at 800x600 (minimised to 640x512) with min settings on graphics capped at 15fps on my secondary monitor.
Main running at 1680x1050 with max most settings (ground clutter not included) stays at about 40-50 fps, 20 fps in main cities if not too busy.

2.4ghz 6600 core 2 duo, 3gb ram, 8800gts 640mb, 2x 250gb hdd's (no raid) with slaves on c:\ main on d:\ and slave data/cache linked to d:\
Was considering getting a second graphics card, but that would really only be to spread out the slaves, which I don't particularly need to do.

Running 5

Main gets about 35-60 average.
Alts get about 25-30. (capped at 30)

2 monitors, main on one screen, alts spread via maximiser on second screen.

When only 4 toons running, fps is over 80 on each...

I found the biggest increase in performance came from dumping certain addons out of the mix...Namely questhelper and auctioneer.

Huge increase.

Core2 Duo 8500 @ 3.5G, 8800GTX 640mb, VIsta 64bit, 8G RAM.

My HD's are crap...thats my bottleneck.

I need to mess around with my directories by the sounds of it....spread the load around....
