I am dual-boxing a level 70 Destruction Warlock and leveling up an Elemental Shaman (he's 66 atm). I just started getting everything setup and I'm pretty happy with the way things are going. I have the hotstrings setup for the leaderless/targetless configuration with Keyclone and I'm using BindPad for my macros. The one thing I'm struggling with is how to effectively heal my Warlock when we are taking on an elite mob.

I have my "1" button set to SB on my Warlock and LB on my Shaman. I have Healing Macros setup on my Warlock and Shaman so that it sends that over to the Shaman to either heal the lock or heal self.

The problem I'm running into is I need to keep hitting "1" on my Warlock to dps the elite mob down, but since "1" is also setup on the Shaman to cast Lightning Bolt, it prevents me from casting a heal since the Shaman will be in the middle of casting LB.

I suppose one way would be to put a stopcasting line in the Healing macro, but that doesn't seem very efficient. What I would like to do is somehow toggle off the Shaman from dpsing and not cast LB when pressing "1" and to have it just sitting there ready to toss heals as needed. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help.

One suggestion I have seen here on these forums is to have the alt(shaman) keybound to the numbered slots across the bottom of the screen and have all your lock abilities on the boxes above those. That way you can click on your lock abilities but the shaman just sits there until you hit one of his hotkeys for his spells.

Good idea, since mouse clicks don't get passed, I could just click on the spell and it wouldn't get passed that to the shaman. Any other suggestions?

Lead with the shaman and use something like healbot. or do Shift+1 for your heals and 1 for your other options etc etc. Or use your key pad for the heals buttons for the shaman and the other keys for dps.

I'm trying to figure out a way where I can keep pressing "1" so that it does the primary dps spells, but then toggle it so that the shaman no longer casts LB when pressing "1" and he is available to toss heals using Healbot or through Healing macros.

The previous method suggested should work because what I'll do is when I'm ready for the shaman to stop dpsing and start healing, I will mouse click on "1" instead of keyclick and that way the shaman won't cast LB and will be available for heals. That would be with the Lock as the main.

Just trying to see if there are other ways I might be able to do this, I would prefer not to use mouse clicks, but it should be workable.

If you do not want to click yourself to death then look at doing key bindings like maybe have q and e for your heals and disable your strafe that is an option or instead of using WASD as your movement buttons use ESDF and open up some keys for more key bindings, there is a lot of keys that you can unbind and rebind to what you really need. This is probably your best option use a key to stop cast of your DPS spell and heal who ever needs it.
