View Full Version : Has anyone noticed with the leaderless setup about targetting...

Ok so here is the thing....

I use the leaderless setup and I've found that sometimes if I click/tab through enemy targets on my current main and then start mashing buttons that once in awhile my slaves will attack a target that I might have scrolled through?

I know it takes them some time to pick up the current target but with this setup you don't even see who they are targetting because of the way the macros are layed out.

Is this just something to deal with?

Also I'm not sure what I should be doing about healing...

I'm guessing just setup the macro the same way I would a combat spell and it should work properly? Cause I know just plugging in the "Lesser Healing Wave" spell into my cast bar does nothing, and I guess it shouldn't if my slaves can't pick up my target who needs healing from my main...?

I hate to ask but anyone found a faster way to setup the macros/keystrings for this setup? The macro's are actually an easy copy and paste its the keystrings that seem to take me way too much time it seems. I swear I think I get confused sometimes while doing 5 keystrings for each spell on each char.....

It happens whatever "setup" you are using... because when you change target you first send to the server that did the target-change, which takes ~200 ms, then the alt's have to get aware of the change, another ~200 ms. (I assume you have around 200ms on your server)

That's atleast how I got it explained to me.

for the, 'see the target' and easier setup, have you considered the modification of the leaderless setup descriebed in the wiki?

Golle is correct about the delay. Not sure there is a way around it. However I use it to my advantage. Lets say you have 4 or 5 nukers and the first volley doesnt kill the target, but the 2nd volley is over-kill. Here is what I do.

I have 4 shamans @ 60 and equal level NPCs take about 6 to 7 lightning bolts to kill. If I did 2 volleys I would waste mana. So I target a NPC and do the first volley, then right before the spell finishes I switch targets on the leader and start the 2nd volley. The leader will shoot the new target, but the slaves will continue the 2nd volley on the first NPC. You can keep doing this to save time and mana.

I have yet to put in the time to make macros for healing, I will give more feed back once I do.
