For everyone asking, the best two classes to run together are a Paladin + Shaman.

You have a great AOE tank, heals, no real need for CC, limited AOE, Rez x 2, melee + range, great survivability and very good synergy. You have some flexibilty in that each each has a DPS spec you could use to level and seperate end game specs that compliment each other. They would be good for questing, grinding out rep, dailies and each has at least one spec that a raid/instance group would welcome. They aren't the strongest PvP team, but good enough for grinding out BG for rep gear. They are both easy to run via macros and don't have the need to be micro managed. Paladins also excel at boosting so you have that option when you are done.

Yes, almost any makeup will work for dualing, but this is the best overall multi purpose team.

For raiding, I'm about to setup my Druid/Mage combo.

Reason being? I use Healbot, and so I use none of my hotkeys. Those being blank, would make it really easy to play both. Clicking on one hand to heal, nuking with the hotkeys on the other. :)

I just keep thinking of the difficulties of having to move around in a fight, but possibly for heroics it'd be super easy.

I think it really depends on what you define as "Best". Best mobility, Best as first time boxing classes, etc. Each combo brings something to the table that may be best at something. Great points though.

Which is best differs from person to person. Everyone enjoys playing certain classes, but not neccesarily the all the same class(es).
