how much more would it make the pc to change out the 8500 for a 8800tgtx?

to upgrade from an 8500 to 8800GTX would cost about 300$ i presume you ment the 8800gt which would be about a90$ difference.

/bump

I'm a hardware noob, and so will provide no opinions, but I've been eagerly anticipating an IP MB hardware offering....so give the man some feedback!! :)

as of right now the only thing that has been requested is some upgrade options for the video graphics but the price of the overall package has been reviewed as a "good deal" ill setup the final configs tommorow morning.

Sina,

I am a hardware guy and that looks about right for a boxing rig. The inclusing of an 8800gt would be great. I would probobaly buy one if they are around $500.00 good price point.

I run a 4x software boxing setup now (on an iMac, which is passable for now), but I intend to at least partially move to a hardware boxing setup asap.

My question is: would a standalone ~$500 unit (such as the one Sina is putting together) be solid running 3x slaves (separate monitor) while I play the master on another Sina standalone unit at fully maxed graphics? I can go to more units if necessary, but I don't want to compromise on the 3D quality of my master screen.

In addition, if I end up going to 5x toons (a constant temptation :), do you think I could keep all 4x slaves on one of these units (at minimal settings, of course)?

Thanks in advance!

p.s. I welcome any upgrade suggestions, too ($hamans ftw)

I don't know what kind of prices you're paying for components, but the thing that catches my eye is that the case you've chosen seems awfully expensive for a $500 build. In fact (if my quick googling of prices is accurate) it retails for about the same price as an 8800GT, and the video card you've chosen retails for about the same price as a cheap case.

So why not switch them? Use an 8800GT and a cheaper case?

Our pricing and retail pricing are far different. Infamous platforms is a sister company of M&A technology,... without giving you to much detail that will get me in trouble,... Our pricing is based on larger contracts that M&A recieves for work such as siemens/altechs/ ect ect/ that is why they decided to buy infamous platforms, it all fit perfectly...

i will have a finalized build for you guys today.

What about the price for one without the operating system?
