LOL not really but i hate that i was watching it and found that. EQ2 is a much better game but fan base just isnt there.

Well, I'd say... Whichever game is better is more of an opinion. I for example find WoW much better.

Dont get me wrong, WoW is a great game but there is just some stuff about it that EQ2 has that i prefer which makes it in my opinion a better game.

PVP - WoW has BG/Arena yes but the way blizzard handles spells upsets me. They go in there and nerf a spell in both pvp and pve where as in EQ2 they went in there and made 2 discriptions you have the pve effect and then you have a pvp effect so one doesnt hurt the other

Customization - In WoW you can pick hair styles ... in EQ2 you can choose how tall or short you are. posisitions of the eyes/brows you can choose how fat or skinny you are ect.

Graphics- WoW to me is like playing a cartoon whereas EQ2 has awesome graphics

Talents vs AA - in WoW you get talents 1 pre level so you can only get 61 atm where as the AA system in EQ2 you get AA from quest, exploration, killing bosses/nameds

New player gear - in WoW you get white items with no stats till about 20 where you start getting better stuff (i know you cna get greens and stuff pre20 but they are few and far between just from quest) In EQ2 by the time you hit 10 with just quest they give you a full set of starting gear and weapons

Spells - In WoW you have to train at a trainer in EQ2 you get the spells when you ding (grant they arnt the highest rank of that spell but you get a free set to start out with)

Now for the big one

Player base - WoW > EQ2

This was in no way a troll I was just stating an opinion. Without EQ WoW wouldnt be what it is today EQ made MMORPGS popular UO started it and EQ is what really made it what it is.

I probably would have played EQ2 if it didn't utterly destroy my computer(s).
You know..the same computers I'm able to run 5 WoW's on.. :S

I think you may have bigger personal issues to figure out, hehe EQ2 is a terribad game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't there more than a few EQ players who eagerly jumped over to EQ2 after it was first released and quickly fled back to EQ?

Well you're posting on a board that's probably 98% wow user base,
you should expect for people to disagree with you. You'd get
reverse reaction if you posted on an EQ2 board about what's great about
WOW.

EQ sucks.

10,000,000 WoW players can't be wrong. lol

/trollYes they can. It's the one big fallacy in "majority rules". The majority could be wrong. Now, as for WoW...I don't think they have 10,000,000 unique subscribers. I think it's maybe a 1,000,000 mult-boxers (some of us only have 5...but others have 30). And WoW knows this. That is why it is so friendly to multi-boxing.

For me, it's all about the immersion. WoW's immersion >>> EQ2's plastic banana immersion, IMO. Note that I don't care how realistic a game's terrain is if it doesn't...blend well and feel right. Cartoony or not, WoW is very engaging for me, especially so when multiboxing. :)

The "realism" argument has always blown my mind...

It's a Fantasy Game... a fantasy world, and a fantastic immersion experience...

For me it is all about fun if a game isn't fun I stop playing it. Last year I went back to EQ2 and it was a blast up to level 50 anyway, then it was way too hard to level.
I came back to WoW and tried everything to make it fun, I did tradeskills, a thing I had never done before in any game, I raided, I PvPed, then I multi-boxxed all these things kept me playing for a while. WoW for me is not fun it is a grind it is all grind for levels, grind for mats to raid, grind for gold, and now they are coming out with another grind to get to level 80?
I got 5 WoTLK beta keys the week before Warhammer came out and haven't played more than 10 minutes of it.
I'm playing Warhammer now and it is all fun at least until you get in an scenario with an ex-WoW PvPer and he starts bitching about losing but that has only happened twice to me so far.
I'm not saying I wont play WoW again and level to 80, my original intention was to play Warhammer 1 day and WoW the next day but Warhammer has been so much fun I can't go back to the boring WoW game just yet.
