RAF triple XP quest bug

I was reading in the wow forums earlier and found a blue posting that confirmed that they are having some weird random problems with certain chain quests not giving triple xp to all party members. According to the post there is not a definitive problem as it is random in nature and sometimes works as it should.

I had this happen twice on my dual-boxers so far. 1st time was on the absent minded professor quest (the escort one where u lead the dwarf around the ruins looking for the artifact). The 2nd was in darkshire on the night watch chain quest. The next to last chain didnt grant triple xp to both only to one of the toons.

Strange, I've done the Night watch questline with 2 different teams and they all got the triple XP. I haven't done the absent minded professor quest though. So did you try to put in a ticket to have a GM grant you the missing XP?

They state it is a completely random occurance which is why they are stumped atm by it. Like you said, the night watch chains worked fine for you but for me 1 chain turn in only gave my vet the triple xp and the recruit just got normal.

No, I didnt open a ticket because it wasnt that big of a difference. I just parked the main and took the recruit over and grinded on the worgens til I was back within 100-200xp of the vet account.

Also according to the blue they wont be able to "reimburse" lost xp due to errors like this.

I have had this happen several times, last night it happened on 3 quests in Ashenvale where neither player got 3x exp on quests. I have also had it where one it getting 1.5x in combat and the other isn't. Frustrating, but like I suspected, there really isn't anything to be done about it. When I notice I relog and that seems to fix it, unfortunately last night I didn't notice until 3 turns ins.

I havent came across this but i have noticed that since one of my toons is 2 lvls lower that the rest some q's are green for him and grey for the rest so they dont get triple xp. maybe this is what youve experianced, both the vetren account and the RAF must not have the quest grey in order to get 3x XP. hope this helps.

Its not a level difference (at least not for me) both of my toons vet and recruit were started at same time and have been leveling and dinging side by side. It is a confirmed bug that blizz is looking into.
So far the RAF thing has been working very well. Even with the occasional flub it still makes leveling from questing SOOOOO much easier.
In fact the hardest part so far has been finding good places to run. I have used Kopp's guide in the past but with the RAF bonus I level so quickly that I have to constantly jump ahead in the guide. I know this will slow down and wont be so bad at higher levels, but right now it can be a bit frustrating. lol
