5 boxing mages, good aoe'ing?

Anyone have any advice on the best way and places to aoe with 5 mages? I got arcane explosion and the first group of mobs I ran into killed the first mage in like 4 hits, which happened about the same time they got the first explosion off. I thought about trying to aoe the non agroing crabs in westfall on the shore, there are a ton and you can get close and get the first shots off before you start aoeing, but it kind of defeats the purpose if you gotta wait 10 minutes for them to all spawn again.

I am thinking ideally for a camp would be for each mage to target a different mob, all fire at the same time, then when they get to the mages have them start all aoe'ing them all down. Can't really blizzard/multibox can you because of the way you need to target the spell?

remove a mage and add a priest for holy nova.

Guess using frost nova would help somewhat.. freeze them, pull back and
aoe. If you're all mages then getting the mana shield will help
later on. Yeah you will wait for respawns, as you're going to
clear areas pretty fast.



In my case pally/3mages/priest.. having a pally makes all the
difference. Pally runs in.. consecrate.. all mobs are hitting
him.. aoe with mages/priest till all dead.

Minimap aoe targeting was taken away.

But I am trying to think of another way.

I guess I can use keyclone and switch mains.

But what if I have my keyclone set up so that my slaves are like really really "zoomed" in.

Could I then just pass through a right mouse click and wherever it lands in their window is ok?

I am thinking about using the top down perspective.
