OK i was wondering how you all do your 5 boxes on 1 screen. I have a 20.1 monitor on my laptop workstation and wondering how you set it up on ONE screen?

The black bars on the sides of the main window are only there during logon. Once you're ingame it's filled out.
I used to do the same thing as Iztehzha, but got tired of a square main window. I've always played widescreen while on single chars, and couldn't handle a square main window due to lack of addon space.

Lack of addon space? Run in a higher resolution :P

2560x1600 isn't high enough for one screen!? Where do I sign my life away for more resolution?

It's just the fact that when the screen is square, your addons start to crowd onto the playing area, whereas widescreen, I can huddle them all to the right or left, and still have a nice open square in the middle so I can.. see?
Maybe it's just my OCD. I hate addons in the way of my playing field.

I don't run like this any more (have multiple monitors atm), but you asked for single monitor layouts, so here it is ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=38831&highlight=#post38831').

Note: that layout doesn't have parity between the aspect ratio of the slaves and main, which can cause you slowdowns when (if) you're using keyclone's PIP. I just didn't like the only way I could lay these windows out and get matching ARs.

I'm only running 4.. And I'm not using many addons (actually.. Not much at all)

List of addons:
Bartender4
ButtonFacade (but that's just visuals for BT4)
ControlArena
Ag_unitframes
Atlas/Atlasloot(w00t?)

And.. ehm.. That's it .. :o - Offtopic.. I know..

Can't SS cos I'm at work, but I find the one large and 4 tiny model unworkable, so I run like this:

___________________________________
------------------------------|-----------------|
--------------1--------------|--------2--------|
------------------------------|-----------------|
___________________________________
--------------|---------------|-----------------|
------3-------|------4-------|-------5---------|
__________|___________|____________|

EDIT: I fail at ASCI art.......

Mine is pretty much like this, except the large window has the same aspect ratio as the small ones (for reliable mouseclick forwarding).

So, if my math is correct, to get the same AR in that config on my 30" dell, I need:

big window: 2560x1280
small windows: 640x320

Is that what you're running?

Same layout as previous screenies.. this time ingame.

Start bar is usually behind the windows, just there for print-screen.

I just have one box showing at once for questing. Don't need to see the rest. If I need to make one of my salves the leader for a collection quest, the other boxes are just as big as my mains. They are just stacked up.

Until I can splurge for 2 more widescreens, this is good enough.. i guess ;)

It takes way too much effort for me. And it helps me keep track of stragglers getting stuck on trees/fences/etc. Also having 5 high res windows is a little tough on my video card, so the low res slaves free up some spare FPS for the main.
Quickly being able to switch mains/focus also saves me a lot of grief.
How do I get it to show more than 1 window at the same time? ;OI use maximizer, which is built into keyclone. Great program - keyclone FTW imo.. money well spent.

Keyclone and maximizer..

Well I use keyclone's maximizer, as already stated.

You set what resolutions you want them to be, and their position on the screen.
Then you edit your config.wtf to run the custom resolution, and put it as read only so wow doesn't auto-change it back to a default size.

Yes, but if you set the resolution in keyclone, it doesn't actually change the ingame resolution, only the resolution that maximizer will show it at. So if you have your maximizer set at 1920x800 for widescreen, and your ingame defaulted to 800x600, when you start up wow you get.. A PANCAKE.

At least with the version of maximizer I have, it doesn't set the ingame resolutions. Maybe I'm missing something here?

Right click the start bar -> properties -> uncheck "keep taskbar on top of other windows"
