Warning you are about to be crit for 10k by wall of text. It's written in a way that if you know nothing about Dualboxing you might pick up on what I am trying to do. Sorry if it's too elemental for some folks! This was like solving math problems for me...lol.

This is my Paladin - Druid dual-boxing ui layout. It's a work in progress I completed last night.

The dual boxing part is to the below left of the Paladin (below left from center screen). I dropped all of my "slave" character spells in that 24 button block. Moonfire, wrath, starfire, rebirth, hibernate, barkskin, etc. Also the healbot addon is to the left of the slave button group which is used (surprise) for healing. More on healing in a sec.

I can't mouse click on any of the slave button block, they are just for keybind reference. For example the moonfire button has a C3 on it. This means Ctrl-3 is bound to that button. (I am using HotKeyNet to pass specific clicks to my druid Wow window). I bought keyclone and tried it with that first, but right now the clickmouse feature works a little better with HKN.

Now when I am fighting mobs with the Paladin, I can press Ctrl-3 and hotkey sends a Ctrl-3 to the Druid wow window which casts moonfire at the Paladin's targeted mob. On the druid side I had to set up a macro that would /assist the Paladin. This also works the same way for poison removal and curse removal. Between the Paladin and druid that means I can remove poison, curse AND cleanse magic effects. It's not exactly ideal that I have to switch targets to debuff poison and curse though....so that segways us to healing.

For healing I am using Healbot (see far left of screen next to slave button block). This addon is amazing. It was recommended to me by Keyboardkill.
It efficiently sets up heals for every class and lets you click heal your party members or yourself. I didn't relish the idea of setting up even more buttons for healing and this addon takes care of that.

What makes it work for dual boxing is HKN's <clickmouse> feature. By holding a key down on my keyboard and clicking a party member listed in healbot, clickbot will send the mouseclick to the other window instead of the paladin. This means you must set up healbot exactly in the same location in the other window.

It's not as simple as I normally like things..the Paladin button layout is too busy and looks like someone threw up, but I will work on that. If anyone could provide feedback on a good Paladin layout that would be the hotness.

To do:

Refine, Refine, Refine. It's raw right now and I expect some wipes til I memorize the key bindings.

Add drink/eat/bandage macros

Figure out if I can set up healbot with poison and curse so I could get those buttons off the slave block and not have to change targets.

Create some macros that perform buffs on the party more easily. I think I might be able to employ smart buff to do that and have the Paladin throw buffs at the same time.

If you are still reading this, thank you!

So what do you guys think? All constructive advice/criticism accepted, trolls will be ignored. :)

Probably more like 35! I tend to have tunnel vision so I counter the ui clutter by moving the camera way back. I agree it could be slimmed down.

I'm setting up something similar (also using HotkeyNet's ClickMouse function). I personally think using a combination of Clique/Click2Cast and PitBull/Grid will both look better, but also give you more features and versatility.
- PitBull and Grid take care of unit frames (Grid only Raid/Party, PB has it all). I imagine it'll be a little tricky to get the same unit frame to show up at the same spot on both screens, but I know at least PB can 'sort by name'. I'd wish there was some way to use the default (party) unit frames to click, but they shift position too much.
- Choosing between Clique or Click2Cast I'd probably choose the first. It has more features while Click2Cast is the bare minimum.

HotkeyNet seems to be a great help for boxers with slave healers, so they don't have to Alt+Tab or have a ridiculous amount of macros to be able to heal anyone without the master having to change target (for slave to assist) and ruin his dps.

I've heard of Grid. I will check it out for sure. I have tried Clique before also but need to give it a harder look. I was feral at the time and didn't have much need for party healing.

Pitbull is outstanding for giving you control over your frames bar none. But the config is a little hard to work through. Imo, that tree view is brutal and it lacks the ability to line things up with other frames.

I guess most people are running priest + pocketdps? That eliminates having to click through to heal. I hadn't even thought until this moment about making my tank the slave. I could moonfire pull + CC....Righteous Defense to grab the aggro and start to consecrate..probably too hard to line him up though. This dual boxing thing is a game within the game. It's really breathed new life into wow for me.

Thanks for the feedback Ajuga.
