Hey guys, so I am new to this whole dual boxing thing but I have wanted to for a while. I currently have my own account, with a 70 warlock and many alts that I want to get to 70, and im extremely bored with leveling.
My brother had an account also so I was thinking of dual boxing on my own computer.
So my question:
is there someplace I can go to copy+paste my computer specs to show you guys? and see if I am even capable of this?

You could right click on 'My Computer' and get the Stats out of there in terms of Processor Speed and Memory.
Or you could goto 'Start --> Run --> "dxdiag"'.
This should show your system specs.

The 2 main stats are you processor type/speed and RAM. Hard drive size and speed will help a little, but it is almost negligible compared to proc/ram.

I have the Intel Core Duo processor, and 1gb of Ram

your cpu looks good... i'd consider bumping your system memory to 2G or more.
your video card should be ok... more graphics memory might help, but you should be ok.
have you tried running multiple accounts yet? (try the 10 day free trials...)
run 1, check the fps. run another.. check. repeat. try to get 4 running at once
before you test, make sure to drop your res to 800x600 in windowed mode and reduce your graphics settings to 'low'
report the fps for each ... should be interesting

so far so good, got my main account and a trial up at the specs you said (800x600 etc etc)
and my main is going at normal FPS and my second instance is running at even higher than my norm. I am now attempting to create a third.

if you are using keyclone, you may consider getting v1.7n
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=1552
it has better support for maximizer (check this thread for cool shots)

so I have successfully created 3 trial accounts, and am running 4 instances of WoW at 20+fps on each of them. With a green latency bar.

I am not using any programs right now, just loaded up instances and logged in.

well, 20's fps would be low.. especially if you aren't currently in a heavy area (like stormwind)
consider only doing 3 on that box. increasing system memory and/or graphics memory may allow another clone
now you have to figure out how to get the key input into each clone.
your options are: alt-tabbing, AHK, or keyclone
if you have another machine and would like to get 4 or 5 running total... then your options are:
synergy, multibox, multi-wireless mice and keyboards plus AHK, or keyclone
