Anyone have any suggestions what to do about this?
It really only happens when I am in Ghost wolf or mounted, but it seems like the clones (never the same one that break auto follow) seem to lag behind and I must just get out of range when they are falling behind (Yet I know they aren't lagging cause my ping is >100ms and FPS is good all around) but it seems like they lag for a split second (almost seems hardware) and they break follow.
Anyone have suggestions?
I don't run my slaves at the lowest graphical settings, should I change this or maybe change the max FPS while in background lower?
I am using dual monitor for this setup as well but this is getting annoying if I am not watching all the time.

I run my main windowed on my 22 inch monitor and then I split the other 4 on my 17 inch monitor equal sizes using Keyclones Maximizer

Try turning down settings/ unloading addons/ closing running processes/ ect...
If I run my setup for 3+ hours I start to get this effect.

I don't run any addon's ATM but I could probably turn down all my settings and see if that helps.

Follow rarely breaks for me randomly, but when my internet connection was getting a lot of use (like a torrent that isn't throttled properly) and I tried to run through the common in Ironforge, I had follow break about 3 times. I have a similar setup to you, 1 pc (Vista 64, Q6600, 4GB, 8800GT 512MB), main on a 21inch and 4 slaves on a 19inch.
I have a few addons loaded on both main and slaves and haven't had any real issue apart from that one time. I hope you work out a way to minimise your follow problem. There are a few multiboxer addons that will tell you if follow breaks on your slaves; you might find an addon useful if follow is breaking frequently for you.

Have you set mxBKfps?
The screens you arent in can function fine at 10-15ish fps, really. And you could turn the maxfps on your main down to 30-40ish too. That should help prevent that kind of lag a lot.
Also, major increase is to turn down the view distance on your alt toons. :p

I've done all of the above except for the max terrain distance in my alts.
If I look at their indicators its about the middle so its not maxed but not min either. If I try and fiddle with it however it just resizes my window and doesn't put it back in the right place and I have to start it over with the old settings.
Anyways around this?
This problem isn't just with follow now that I am really paying attention to what is going on but sometimes its when combat starts/ends etc? EG: I'll cast LB on all my shammies and I will see them all hit but on all my screens main + alts it sometimes take 1-2 seconds for the damage to register and the monster to die.
Any particular reason why my machine might be doing this? I don't ever see any lag spikes or FPS drops when switching screens or anything or even in major cities my setup doesn't even drop FPS so I'm not sure what this kind of "delay" would be.
I checked out my CPU and RAM usage and they are all below 75% on my machine so that really shouldn't be the issue either.

I forgot to mention that I run my main character from a seperate WOW folder (Different from the one that I solo play with) and then I have the other 4 slaves using the same WOW folder (But seperate in themselves from the main chars WOW folder I use for boxing).
I guess my other option would be maybe to put the slaves folders on my other HD? I heard that improved performance and the only other thing I can think of would be to make a seperate folder for each slave as well on the other HD?
i had this problem until i lowered my graphic settings on all accounts.
It's not related to your 'ping' as this is only a measure of your network latency. It's just that your machine is overworked in some area and some wows lag a bit, and eventually get too far to /follow

Yeah I'm going to lower mine a little however I noticed something as well.
I was playing my normal WOW account solo tonight (Seperate folder from all my boxing and everything) and I noticed that I get this kind of lag as well. It happens in combat most often but I did notice it while I was running around just doing random stuff.
I run a ton of mods on my solo setup but I run none on my boxing setups for the moment so it has to be something that is CPU/Windows Vista related?
Anyone have thoughts? I just disabled my Windows Indexing cause I know in older versions of windows that thing was a pain in the ass. So we will see if that makes a difference when I try and play tomorrow.
Anyone else have thoughts about what it could be? This is probably more hardware/software related then anything....
Used to happen a ton on my old setup, they'd either stop following for no reason, or they'd start autopiloting in random directions.. and couldn't stop them.
Lowering all my graphics helped, and upgrading to the new system totally got rid of the problem. For me, at least.

I can't seem to change my graphic settings without the windows resizing and losing its place on my second monitor.
Anyone know how to get around this?
My system is a beast and new, so I really shouldn't have this problem as my laptop never had this kind of lag but not lag related to connection or FPS isssues.
