2box Mage template advice

Hi,

I'm kinda a wow veteran (6x 70) but new to 2box (using the excellent Keyclone).
Never done a 30+ mage and i'd like to 2box 2 mages. But my problem is i dont know that class very much and got no sharp idea on what template to get.
My main goal is pvp (Battleground and Arena 2v2 and 3v3 with a friend).

Any advice about the template to take ?

Honestly...

I would find two templates to do. That way you can see from how they work together what are issues to one versus another and which one's talents better suit your play style.

A fire and an ice mage might be cool. However in pvp I would tend towards 3 minute mages (arcare/fire builds) and such.

My feelings are i'd like to have many AE's and Instants cast with a nice survability.
So i wont go for POM/PYRO but instead a mix of Fire/Ice. But no clue what talents would be the best for PVP due to my lack of knowledge about playing Mage.

Well, the "survivability" that mages are known for has to do with Ice mages being able to frost nova their enemy and kite them around with their slowing ice spells. Kiting will not work very well with a multibox setup. For multiboxing, I'd look for the highest possible burst damage that you could muster. Arcane/Fire would probably be your best bet.

Well actually he can still kite, just round robin his spells that he would use for said kiting, for example round robin Frost nova, hit it once mage 1 does, hit it again mage 2 does it and so on and so forth.

:) Well i have made this choise. I am currently boxing 2 mages. My other account with the 47 mage got hacked. But my main mage is still play-able. I am current level 25 with my clone and its going great. With my mage i am level 60. My plans are to go with full frost spec. (with frostbite/not AoE). Through 60-70. I am helping my clone with my main mage. And im burning through the levels. I was level 1 2 days ago and now 25 :D. Anyways. I am going to level 60-70 full frostbite frost. Cant you imagine 2k frostbolts on a mob, 30% for frostbite and on level 66 2x Icelance crit 2k? I am dreaming about it everyday lol. I am going for fire/arcane with my mages on 70. I can sheep the target and cast fireball on it with both my mages. And in arcane specc i will max out the: 10% less chance your targets will resist your arcane spells. When i have multiple hordes coming, i can just Flame wave them and AE :D And i can one/two shot most people in arena. I am not expecting a high rating from arena. I think i can get 1600+. But thats enough for me to get my Vengefull parts here and there.

I know half of the story above here wasnt usefull :P But i hope the other half was.
