View Full Version : Keyclone Maximizer Question

I have been trying to use the maximizer option and it works but the problem is I have a 21in Widescreen monitor and no matter how I have it setup it's always stretched in someway. I would like to have my main on the majority of the screen and the alt on the rest but the best I can do is make the alts screen very narrow. Does anyone have any suggestions on making the alt more visible? Because doing half on top and half on bottom or half on side and other half on side. Makes everything smashed. Thanks for any help you can give me.

what version are you running? v1.7n ... beta released today... dealt with this issue. (personally... i like vertical split screen the most)

you can find the beta post here:

Just FYI: 16 clones on 1 box runs like pooh ;).

Just for SNG I fired it up with 16... it got to 9 before it started bottoming out horribly... not maximizing properly, etc.

X2 6000 with 2gb ram on Vista.

I was running 1.7m, I will check out the new one. When I do it vertical it makes the screens look smashed on the sides.

Damn that would be nice but I just upgraded to the new one and now I cant even get it to work, it just puts both instance behind each other.

first off... log off all your wows except 1.

then make sure you are in windowed mode.
exit your last wow window... this will save your settings as per your last session

in order for keyclone's maximizer to work, you must use a command you defined in the command editor.

let me know if this helps:

i also changed my task bars properties to enable 'auto-hide'

Yeah, I forgot to put them in windowed mode before I tried to get maximized to work. So now it's working but I can't see the whole UI but I'm going to try and scale it smaller and see if I can get it to fit on the screen.

or go vertical with your bars (remember to reassign your keys)

How big of monitor are you using? because I tried that and everything was really small. I'm about to hook my computer up to my 56in HDTV. LOL

isn't it hard to see? I guess I'm so use to seeing the whole screen it's just messing me up.

well what I do Is I have 3 folders for wow, "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft" "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft2" "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft3" then under setup - Command Editor I make 3 commands
wow - "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft/wow.exe" wow2 - "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft2/wow.exe" wow3 - "C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft3/wow.exe"

then as you see on the main menu i have the commands wow;wow2;wow3
so this open them in order I have user name saved, and use the same password so i type in my password once and boom im in game on my 3 accounts (Currently lvling 2 warlock using a Prot Pally SM farming ftw)
I have the 2 top screens the 2 locks in game set to 800X600 18 font for caht using NO ui scale and all visuals turned down low, the bottom one I set in game to 960X600 (wide screen) and it handles the paladin pretty good, yes it too has the font set to 18 and the ui scale not being used, but I can stil easily play and farm SM and quest when I want to and If I get bored log on ursin and play my 3 hunters I started this after noon at work.

not sure how this is going to work for me BUT...

I use only one instance of W0W and not plus folders as the other individual suggests.

WOW;WOW;WOW;WOW;WOW etc etc etc to infinity if necessary 8)

I suggest setting up your accounts in the following:

ACCOUNT
ACCOUNT2
ACCOUNT3
ACCOUNT4
ACCOUNT5 ACCOUNT = whatever name you care to use

PASSWORD = make this the same for all accounts

reason: when you have all 4 screens up your cursor will be in all screens.

BUT...move the cursors down to the password section when ur typing in the extra numbers for each account...

ex. ACCOUNT2 would type in the number 2 while your cursors in all other 3 sections are in the password area of the screen

ACCOUNT3-5 would be the same

ONCE you have done this then MOVE the cursors from the USER area down to the PASSWORD section in ALL cases. Then you can BACKSPACE to remove what is entered in the PASSWORD section..

TYPE in your PASSWORD for all screens at once PRESS enter and VOILA! your done.

OK...I apologize if I have DUMBED this down a bit but I know there is SOMEONE out there who needs this information put this way.

CHEERS!
8)

OOO...one more thing...be sure and setup your WOW folder by entering the FIRST ACCOUNT( with no numbers) and SAVING the USER name on the main screen BEFORE you attempt to log all 4 accounts on at once. This will assure you of getting 4 USER NAMES = ACCOUNT(username)

Not to sure I'd use above directions myself. I've always been about extensive account security.

Myself I use different account names each 8 characters or more with a-z 1-9 !-$.

Also each password is different using the same format as the account names.

May be a bit extreme but its always been my philosophy to make my accounts a grid-iron lock.

That said though, if you arn't concerned about account security and have full faith in the integrity of your internet/firewalls/routers then yea using the previous posters advice would save you a few keystroke each time you logged in.

I know this is a very noobish question but I just started playing with keyclone and was wondering how to make it go over the start bar. I've pushed what I thought was every option I could find but the bottom wow is still overlapped by the windows start bar. I'm using xp home btw.

right click the task bar and make sure there is no check mark next to the lock task bar option.

then move your mouse to the edge of the task bar and you should see a little icon show up and then click it and drag it down to the bottom and it will hide the task bar.

oh I thought there was a way to overlap it via WoW or keyclone. I know how to "hide" my taskbar.
