Been dual-boxing for a while now and having awesome fun. Now thinking of taking advantage of RAF and setting up a 5-box of a Tankadin, 3 Shadow Priests and a Holy Pally. Primarily for instance/badge farming. Won't be the same synergy with the recent changes to VT and Misery/Shadow Weaving, but I think it could still work in WotLK. The idea is 2 Pallies for 2 x Aura's + Blessings, and the Shadow Priest for mana return from multiple VT and VE. Also Shadow Priest new AoE in WotLK.

Any comments regarding possible success of this group setup? I don't want to get them to 50 and think "Hmmm... Maybe I should of went 3 Locks and a Holy Priest" =)

For the sole purpose of farming badges, I would select a dps class/spec that wears at least leather armor so they can take a hit or two. Personally, I don't think much beats a pally/4xshaman setup for instance/badge grinding. Hunters are good too but you'd need a tank and healer which would mean you need to micro-manage three different classes.

Someone went 1x paladin 4x shadow priests once. He switched all 4 to holy and aoe'd everything with holy nova iirc. Had to drink a lot...

It's tank, healer, 3dps, so you can probably do well in instances, but you're probably better off with those warlocks you mentioned.
