I got keyclone last night, and got it figured out and am loving it. Nice program.

Here's something to put in your 'note to self' pile: Put NumLock on the do-not-pass list.

I had my 5 shammies in Desolace this morning, running down that long stretch of road, and hit auto-run. Tabbed my main monitor to look something up on thottbot, tabbed back to stop, (and what would have been just in time, I'm pretty good at judging speed on auto-run) and 2 make a beeline for the Kolkar villiage, aggroing approximately 200 horse guys in the process. My other 2 went off that mountain, aggroing a few scorpions, all the while I'm madly running behind them mashing 6 (/follow macro) wondering why the hell they're deserting me.

I did the same thing when I started, and made the same note-to-self. :p

One of the first key bindings that I change is Num_lock. I could never understand why Blizzard made it the default key for run. Nothing like having Number Key Pad bindings not work when you least expect it ;)

I do not have so much of an issue or toons running off without me but rather the other way around. I have a bad habit of being half way across the world and forgetting one poor toon somewhere. I expect social services to call me any minute.

Rofl, yea, I've had people whisper me "Ya lost one!" and I'll look at my map, and it's at the last mob I looted or something, 3/4 of the way across the map o.O

Hmm, I'll ask keyclone if he can put this as default into the application since I don't know anyone who would ever want num lock to be passed along.

the only problem with adding it by default is that people can change the default auto-run key...

I put auto run as my 5th mouse button. So it doesnt pass anyways. I like to still use numlock when running into an instance with all 4 characters. Normally /follow will stop once the leader passes the zone line and the other 3 just stand there.

Q = Autorun for the win!

(it was the default for autorun in Asheron's Call 1 and I never broke the habit...)

I usually have my G15 keyboard set to disable the windows key but....
Watch out for ( windows + E ) combination normally used to bring up Explorer.

If you use that to bring up Explorer and if you time right it sets your whole team on a run away straf right, they won't stop until you hit E again.
if you press other keys like the arrow keys they stop the straf but restart it as soon you let up on those keys. only pressing E again will you gain control back.

I don't think it's a good idea for it to be blocked by keyclone ny default as that would be very confusing for new users.

Every time I play WoW on a new PC or with a new character the very first thing I do is set the keybindings to my preferred style - including unbinding numlock and also the '`' key (left of 1 on UK keyboard) as it's the run/walk toggle - I really don't want to accidentally press that again as I'm trying to chase a baddie.

In WoW the numpad keys still work with num_lock on or off. Do you actually have them stop working, or was that an assumption?

I bind autorun to mouse4, since I'm not (currently) broadcasting mouse then it's great because no matter what client I've focused on, I can always autorun, without worrying about DNP , whitelists, or valuable keyboard real estate.

I use a Logitech revolution mouse. There is a program called UberOptions that allows you to change the bindings of all the mouse buttons. the program is for Logitech mice only. I have mousebutton 4 and 5 set to Alt-0 or something very nifty program.
