Hi All,

I have 2 quick questions on the RAF program. I hope someone knows and that this is not a bother.

1. Are the level points that are gifted faction specific? For example, if I level an alliance character on the RAF account but wish to reward the points to a Horde character on my main account, would this be possible? I am on a PvE server, if it makes any difference.

2. Are there any restrictions on transferring a character to another account? Say I just buy the original WoW, level the character on the RAF account for 2 months, and when the time expires, I want to transfer the character to another account that I own. Would this be possible? What if I own 2 accounts now and I want to transfer from RAF to account 2, even though the RAF was linked to account 1?

Thanks for your help. Basically my goal is to continue 2boxing only but if I can drop $20 + $30 to get a free month, a free mount, and free levels for the paladin that I don't feel like leveling past 33. The remaining 3 'levels' I will gift to my DK so I can go from 57 to 60 as soon as I finish the starting area. If there is a problem with this plan, please advise as I have not found anything so far aside from the top 2 concerns since I will probably level an alliance character on my RAF (I already have 1 of every Horde class on my main account and my last slot is for DK) and then xfer this character to my 2nd account because I don't really wish to 3box at this time. Thanks again for any replies!

I will also not be purchasing this program/account until I know when WoTLK will be released so that I can be sure it will fall within the 90 days with some padding on the time as well.

This is not possible. You can only grant levels from a character on the recruited account to the veteran account. The character that is gifiting the levels must be on the same server, and must also be a higher level than the character receiving the levels.

The best answer for this question is that the last name must be the same on both accounts, no exceptions. If they are not the same, you cannot transfer. Having on account RAF linked to anotehr account should not make a difference when transferring.

This one I am not sure about. As long as your paladin is lvl 60, you should be able to grant levels to the Death Knight character, unless, after the WOTLK expansion release, Blizzard decides to remove the RAF system. If this happens, you will not be able to grant levels, though I am sure it is possible.

This reply is made to the best of my knowledge, if this information is incorrect, then I apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Kareem

Right, the recruited/RAF account would be gifting levels to my main/veteran account. They will be on the same server and higher level. I was just curious about cross-faction gifting but I think I will just stick to Horde, thanks! =)

I hope I am not misunderstanding, but I believe this is what he was asking. I know if you are on a PVP server, your account is limited to a single faction per server, but on PVE I can have both Horde and Alliance chars on the same veteran account on the same server. I was wondering about this, too, because I would be able to have a level 1 horde on my veteran account stand next to my RAF account. I am not sure if the two characters need to be grouped, which would obviously make gifting levels impossible, but if they just need to be targettable, then it might be possible. Has anyone tried (or come across a blue forum post of) gifting levels to the opposite faction?

Excellent post, thank you. I was able to get all of my questions answered and altered my plans to compensate for them. Thanks again!
