I have 3 boxed on a fairly low powered laptop with 2gb of ram.

My main super fast machine (due to a really crappy choice of motherboard) also only has 2g of ram, and it easily handles 3 boxing, and is fine in instances with 4.

I'm currently mb'ing 5 shaman on one computer, 2 monitors, an ATI 2600 (512mb) and 2 gigs and do fine until I enter a city. Out in the wild PVE'ing I don't get any problems what so ever. I am going and getting 2 more gigs today (memory is absurdly cheap right now for some reason) and possibly a better vid card. I think if you have a good enough video card, you should be ok with 2 gigs.

2gb extra is about as expensive as 1 more client. I'd say pickup the extra ram, it'll make a world of difference if ya ever need to enter a somewhat populated area :)

Aye, I initially started with 2gb myself (5 clients). All was about fine when questing etc, but when you enter a city or other populated area (as stated above) the loading time, lag and playability drops considerably. If it's possible, do what others have suggested: get another 2 gigs ;)

If in doubt,

And see if it works.
