OK so i have 2 groups of shammys to test the waters <The House of Funk> on Aman'thul and thaurissian.

It seems that that i generate a considerable amount more hate on PVE servers then PVP ones, both in the game and on the boards. I tried to e super friendly, if someone is farming an area i usually move on after a couple kills, I post nice things on the forums and do shows for people in cap cites from time to time. The people on Thaur are x10 more interactive and friendly vs the PVE guys on Aman'thul who are quick to be rude and judgmental, maybe im just on wrong PVE server.

It's a feature of the individual server, not the rulset. But that won't stop everybody here from seizing the opportunity for yet another PvP vs. "normal" server type bun-fight ;)

I play on PVE and 99% of people I've come across have LIKED what I was doing or didn't say much. I also go out of my way to be helpful, though. I help kill other people's stuff or rez people or heal people. Pretty much anything I can help with that's on my way to where I'm going. I don't know if that helps anything. Or maybe it's because my Moonkin is so huge that it covers up the other 3 and people think I am just two guys? haha

gotta do with pplThe reason that it seems like PvP is nicer then PvE is due to the fact that the players on the PvP server (even more so the higher you level) are more mature adults instead of immature kids that are on the PvE servers.

Now for the record im not saying all PvE servers are immature ... they just have more on thier then most PvP servers

I've only played on one server in my entire wow experience. Knowing the people > pve vs pvp, server progression, economy or anything else for that matter.

My experience with PvP servers was exactly the opposite to yours, Piros. I found far more e-peen flexing and victimising going on in the PvP server world than in the PvE server world. There wasn't must less whining either, which surprised me.

Now a free-for-all PvP server. THAT I would go for.

I really think it'd work. Exceptions made for AoE effects on members of your raid / party would probably be acceptable ;)

I posted it as a suggestion on the EU Suggestions forum months ago, and it was met with a resounding silence.

Truth be known, there are far more members of my own faction that I'd like to zap into oblivion than of the opposite faction 8|

I am totally not a guy for PVP, but damn if i could just blast ANYONE around me it sure would be fun.

Guildmates you dont like : smack his ass before a raid.
People ninja'ing mobs - kick their ass
etc etc etc.

I'm at the same realm as Otlecs and hardly get hate anywhere.

The things i hear most:

HOW?
HOW?!?
HOW?! HOW?!

or: dance plx. come on, please.

random dpsclass: Shall we do 5vs5?
me: i allready got a team.
random dpsclass: let's do skirmish then!? :D

I'm on a PVE server, and I mostly get "Let me group with you!"

I was doing some collection quests, and one guy just kept following me around saying "Invite me! Group with me!" Even after I told him no.

It only takes a few out-spoken jerks to set the tempo for a server. Take that guy who threatened to sue Blizz over them allowing multi-boxers to continue to play. Imagine if he was on your server and a part of your faction. Talk about dealing with that potential hate storm.

On my server I have seen respected guild leaders defending multiboxing in general chat. I get an occasional person accusing me of cheating out of ignorance but I always encourage them to petition me so as to get them set straight and then I never hear from them again.

It's all about the people.

I agree that it is server-based. My experiences on Eldre'Thalas (PvE realm) have been overwhelmingly positive. Only one person objected to my multibox group, and after making a couple of comments she moved on. Other than that people have either ignored me or been supportive.

One reason seems to be that there is a lot of multiboxing going on there. It is not rare for me to see a dual-boxer in my travels. Lots of times I will see a character running/riding along with an alt on auto-follow. Sometimes it is a high-level character power-leveling a lowbie, sometimes it is a DPS/healer combo. So they seem to be used to seeing it and it doesn't bother them for the most part.

PvP server are more mature ? loll
PvP servers must have 60% kids that play all day long, ganking and ganking and ganking ppl. When their ganked by multiboxers its chaos on chat, forums, everywhere llolol

dunno man. i thought PvE were more relaxed, where ppl really want to enjoy the game. Both PvP and PvE whine about multiboxing, it comes down to what each person feels about it.

I can get an AV full of "its konnichiwa, yey", and the following AV is like "die retarted multiboxer".
