FYI / Random - I Was in Seattle last few days, while there I swung by the MS Visitor Center and Store - for those of you that swing by MS, check out the store, but don't get to excited (like I was initially). Only MS employees can buy software and hardware at the discounted prices. Maybe everyone knows this already, I did not.

Nice company perk though - some prices were like 50/60% off retail.

Some are more like 90% off... Vista Ultimate was $35, retail is $300+ last I saw..
You can even get deals on XBOX 360 titles... Halo 3 on release day for 20$ yes please :)

Apple employees have it well off too, 25% off on hardware (but even so the RAM is too expensive), similar deals on Apple branded software.

What I *really* need to find is someone who works for Adobe, and find out how much of a discount they get... there's a few hundred people working for them here in Seattle and I somehow have none of them in my circle of friends... need to work on that I guess.

We have like once a year we have access to it here at work because we are such a large MS shop.

Old wave from Seattle area, I used to live in Marysville and worked downtown. No one in the family could take the winter weather and my commute was brutal. Not to mention my boss was insane.

When i get to the point where I have a summer home, Seattle area is where it will be.

The only thing better than piracy is faster piracy. :) That being said. Please buy the games that you like. THere are a ton of games releaseing all the time. Most are not worth your money and that is why you pirate them and givem them a shot. Anything that you play on a reg basis should be bought.

I bought World of Warcraft. Then, to combat piracy, I bought 9 more copies just to keep it out of the hands of those pesky pirates. That will teach em.
