how and where to level with RAF

I know this has probally been posted before but i can't seem to find it any place, is it faster to just use a 70 to boost my RAF and my main account through instances and doing the quests for that instance or is it faster to do just quests? If quests is the fastest way does anybody have a list for horde side that shows kill quests because gathering quests while using 3 accounts sucks when you have to loot something which i'm sure you all know. right now my 2 chars i'm boosting with just instances seems to be going slow compared to what i've read on the forums in other places i see people saying they went from 1-60 in under 2 days played i don't see how thats possible. SO please any info you can give on if questing is faster than just boosting through instances would be appreciated.

To answer the original question, no, there is no complete list that I'm aware of. My horde toons are only lvl 10 and not RAF.

heres what i've done with my RAF chars.
quest up to lvl 10.
use a nonlinked 70 to run you through instances. (im using an enhancement shaman)
wailing caverns until lvl 20.
sm library until 30. (<10 minutes per run, avg 75% of a lvl per run)
sm cathedral until 42. (10-12 minutes per run, avg 70% of a lvl per run)
zulfarrak until 53. (i skipped the stair event, the xp/time spent on it didnt seem worth it.)

im sitting at ~20 hours played at 53. im not entirely sure what i'm going to do til 60.
i tried a strat run last night but it was slow going, my shaman is only t4 geared and it took
some time to work out what i was doing. i'm going to try again tonight and see how it goes..

all in all this was so fast, im thinking of boosting a couple mages as well.

Avoid Badlands at all costs.
Just spent there way too much time for way too little XP. And pretty much every quest there is a collection quest. Besides the Murdaloc and the "click the crates" quest. If you#re rding through the area, do the murdaloc quest, then leave as fast as you can.

The way I did it was....

Quest to level 10.

Got on a 70 Mage an ran.....

Deadmines (VC) till around 19 - 20.

Stockades till 25 - 26.

SM till 40 - 41.

After SM I switched to a 70 Warlock. Alot easier to run these higher level instances with a pet tanking an Seed of Corruption.

ZF till 47.

Went to BRD an cleared the hallways around the arena an did the arena a few times till I was almost 50.


Then from 50 - 58, I went to Scholo an just cleared the first room over an over again.

I was getting about 20 - 25% a level every time I cleared the mobs on the bridge an the first big room.

The way I did it was...

Clear the first 4 mobs on the bridge then wait for the patrol to come up the stairs. (The patrol would almost always be right on top of the stairs or walking near the stairs by the time I killed the 4 mobs)

Move the toons your are leveling into the big room an keep them on top of the stairs. (Just walk over the bridge an straight till you can't walk anymore, but don't jump on the ledge or you will be in line of sight of mobs an they will run up)

Now you can start clearing the room an not have to worry about moving the alts. From on top of the stairs they will get exp no matter where you kill a mob in the room.

With a well geared warlock I was doing this in about 10 - 12 min a run. Clear the room an reset. Getting about 20-30% of a level every time.

I got pretty bored doing this at around 58. So I went to LHC an picked up some quests for Strat an went there. After doing a few quests an pretty much clearing every mob & boss in Strat (Baron side)
I went from 58 to 60.

You should also do the turn in quests at LHC. I think there is 4 of them. You get around 28k for each one.... (Only get exp for the first turn in)

30 Crypt Fiend Parts
30 Dark Iron Scraps
30 Core of Elements
30 Bone Fragments

I had them all laying around in my bank, but if you don't you can just pick them up from the AH for around 10 - 25g for 30. (Will vary depending on server)


P.S
Try to pick up easy quests for instances you will be running or quests that you can get done on the way for easy exp. Sometimes you can pick up an extra 40% or more of a level from walking a few minutes out of the way to pick up a few quests.

I'm 5 boxing with RAF, so I just try to do as many quests as possible. I follow Jame's guide @ wow-pro (since I'm horde) and it's pretty ok.

To OP, you mention boosting was slow. What toon are you boosting with?
